Yeah, I was wondering about that. Like, I know they said a lot of these characters can be hard or easy depending on how you play them, but I'm literally a Samus main and I think she's pretty easy regardless (or at least not HARD). Granted, there's a lot of dubious picks here in my opinion (adult Link was another that stuck out to me, I think he's actually pretty tricky since his moves are kinda slow [aside from nair] and his bombs are actually pretty tricky).

Not just in terms of difficulty or hype, they are aggressively neutral in how good their moves are. They get the job done, but many characters, including ones significantly worse than (Dark) Pit, have moves that are way crazier or more variable in how good/bad they are. That's why all the Best and Worst Smash Move videos never mention them. Hell, the Koopalings, who are way worse than (Dark) Pit, are often honorable mentions for Best Jab and Best Forward Smash, but the Pits themselves can't even get a single one.
Pit is fundamentals: the character. The ONLY improvement Pit needs to be perfect is the reflect on his side B either needs to be removed, or not end the attack, or cancel the animation immediately instead of triggering the "attack" animation, or something, since it currently punishes you for using a move as intended. Pit is a great character, alongside Kirby, and, sadly, the memory of Ike, for teaching new players and building on fundamentals. Pit will NOT carry you, anything you get out of Pit, you earned. Even knowing when to pick between Pit and Dark Pit is pure fundamental skill in matchup tailoring. Pit is actually kind of an incredibly designed character, when you really think about it. Sakurai may have some odd opinions when it comes to balance, but Pit proves that he DOES understand it. You want to see if someone is carried by their character, have them sit down and play Pit for a while.
Bowser's hard to play at a very high level where other characters can dominate him if you don't know how to really counter them. Greninja, Palutena, Falco, YL, CF all have an easier time on bowser than bowser has on them.

My left eye I’m diagnosed as being legally blind and I have....3 eye doctors technically....I have a glaucoma specialist, a retina specialist and a low vision specialist. So I have prescription glasses for my left eye mainly. Don’t worry about it they ask me at locals too when I play. I use game sounds a lot more than most players for any game I play including Smash. I have some vision just not a lot...
@@matthewjones6786 It is extremely easy to play and to get to a high level of play, you really don't have to work that hard to be better than 90% of players online, and that's why I quit and went back to Melee. That said I still watch Little Z because he's funny.

Also, like all of the combos could be learned in a couple hours at most in training mode lmao with no advanced techniques. Super high level players like MALE are obviously impressive as shit but the impressive thing about pretty much all of them is great neutral and fundamentals. Not advanced movement or being technical. If you think ultimate is technical compared to even brawl, you're cracked lol.

Anyone else remember when Ike was considered, along with Kirby and Pit, the most honest core of characters in the game, that any good player could do pretty well with, and any new player could learn the game with? I feel like whatever Ike has gained, what he's lost was irreplaceable.
Yoshi could easily be fixed if he was a midweight, didn't have strong attacks and just focused on speed. That's how he is in the mainline and spinoff Mario games.

When I first got SSBU, the sifference between Smash 4 Bayo and current Bayo was a world of difference. I definitely think she’s harder but more like a medium character given she can be punished for a lot more.
After 20+ hours, all I could do for wins is spam Fair off the stage and sometimes kill with a charged Neutral B. I love Galaxy, but she is too hard for me. SSB requires enough concentration and technical skills, without having to worry about a puppet character.
1:11 Fun fact: this is exactly how my first ever game of smash went back in Melee. Was at a friend’s house, literally had NO CLUE how to do anything other than move left and right, and instead of actually explaining anything, my “friend” told me “Just pick Pikachu!” He then stomped me over and over until I had to go, and I didn’t learn how to play until years later. I’ve never played Pikachu since. I have a personal vendetta against the rat.
Dudes, every character in Smash is easy when you know how to play as them. Like, take Ryu for example. Once you spend like an hour in training mode, you'll definitely understand all the command inputs, combos, and neutral game.
I gotta say: out of all the characters I play that I expected to be called "easy"; I wasn't expecting ROB to be considered "hard" lmao. Like, Yoshi, Zelda, Kirby... sure. But ROB is not more difficult that Ness or Jigglypuff lol.
yoshi is braindead, zelda can win with only specials, kirby is literally the fastest character to learn from the first 8, & coming from a former ROB main is that ROB has some combos that hurt my soul just trying to practice so trust me when i say ROB is one of the hardest to truly play
Rob is leagues harder than Ness and jigglypuff. Gyro combos,trying to not get into disadvantage(big body is rough sometimes),and knowledge of gyro set ups. He’s privileged sure, but he’s definitely not free

Time to start debating in the comment section. What do you think about Sephiroth, is he easy or hard? I personally really wanted him in the game and am very happy with his moveset, but sometimes playing him is a bit difficult, I personally think that he is rather hard, not like the same type of hard as someone like Peach tho.
Sephiroth is definitely hard but very satisfying to play. Great moveset just takes time to learn his spacing. Although this is really my first smash since 64 so i dont have much to go on lol. Just decided to main him when he dropped and haven't changed since.
His moves are pretty broken and the only hard thing to do as him imo is not getting hit by like joker or palu because he has bad frame data and those characters murder him in disandvantage

as another puff main I can say that racking up damage, doing combos on some characters, edge guarding, and getting kills is easy, but winning games is hard
@@someone-cs1ix I feel this. Mistakes HURT as puff, and a lead can disappear very quickly to a few mistakes, reads, frustration, or carelessness. I feel like puff also kinda has a "sweet spot" of enemy % where things work well and can kill, but if too much more racks up, many of puffs setups stop working, and she has to fish for raw kill moves. I think very few characters can lose as quickly and as hard as puff after getting a 2 stock lead. Maybe Little Mac, but even that's entirely because Mac can die off a back throw at 20%. Puff has more complicated problems.
As a high level ddd main I think he is easy, but once you get past mid level he becomes hard. Then people know how to deal with gordo and your stupid stuff. (Can’t just land with nair because it’s easily punishable :D)
Yeah he gets really hard when you realise you have to use your brain and cant just throw gordo and mash. Hmm, almost as if choosing your options and reading your opponents is a part of the game. (for the hard characters, at least)

The Villager Mewtwo match up is backwards. Mewtwo has to change his options and play carefully because of his large hit box and light weight while Villager just does Fair to win.
Lmao, I'm 19 and it took me like 5 hours to get it right, AND to get all the angles. Aswell as figuring out when to up b again if I hit a wall. And even then I still mess up sometimes
The input characters besides Kazuya still working with this character by the way are easy because I got use to the inputs and the characters really quickly. I love using the inputs of each classic fighting game characters, especially the double hadouken for Terry 's Are you ok? Buster Wolf!!!

Was at a friend’s house, literally had NO CLUE how to do anything other than move left and right, and instead of actually explaining anything, my “friend” told me “Just pick Pikachu!” He then stomped me over and over until I had to go, and I didn’t learn how to play until years later.
I’ve never played Pikachu since. I have a personal vendetta against the rat.
Dudes, every character in Smash is easy when you know how to play as them. Like, take Ryu for example. Once you spend like an hour in training mode, you'll definitely understand all the command inputs, combos, and neutral game.

I gotta say: out of all the characters I play that I expected to be called "easy"; I wasn't expecting ROB to be considered "hard" lmao. Like, Yoshi, Zelda, Kirby... sure. But ROB is not more difficult that Ness or Jigglypuff lol.
yoshi is braindead, zelda can win with only specials, kirby is literally the fastest character to learn from the first 8, & coming from a former ROB main is that ROB has some combos that hurt my soul just trying to practice so trust me when i say ROB is one of the hardest to truly play
Rob is leagues harder than Ness and jigglypuff. Gyro combos,trying to not get into disadvantage(big body is rough sometimes),and knowledge of gyro set ups. He’s privileged sure, but he’s definitely not free

Time to start debating in the comment section. What do you think about Sephiroth, is he easy or hard? I personally really wanted him in the game and am very happy with his moveset, but sometimes playing him is a bit difficult, I personally think that he is rather hard, not like the same type of hard as someone like Peach tho.
Sephiroth carried me to Elite. Extremely easy. I basically only side tilt and neutral b, 10 mil gsp
Sephiroth is definitely hard but very satisfying to play. Great moveset just takes time to learn his spacing. Although this is really my first smash since 64 so i dont have much to go on lol. Just decided to main him when he dropped and haven't changed since.
His moves are pretty broken and the only hard thing to do as him imo is not getting hit by like joker or palu because he has bad frame data and those characters murder him in disandvantage

As a puff main I think that puff is a bit hard at times but like eadge guarding is so easy
as another puff main I can say that racking up damage, doing combos on some characters, edge guarding, and getting kills is easy, but winning games is hard

Rest is a hard move to use, no question. And you're not going to go far as Jigs unless you master Rest.

I feel this.
Mistakes HURT as puff, and a lead can disappear very quickly to a few mistakes, reads, frustration, or carelessness. I feel like puff also kinda has a "sweet spot" of enemy % where things work well and can kill, but if too much more racks up, many of puffs setups stop working, and she has to fish for raw kill moves.
I think very few characters can lose as quickly and as hard as puff after getting a 2 stock lead. Maybe Little Mac, but even that's entirely because Mac can die off a back throw at 20%. Puff has more complicated problems.
In this game the difficulty doesn't come from the characters. It comes from learning the game

As a high level ddd main I think he is easy, but once you get past mid level he becomes hard. Then people know how to deal with gordo and your stupid stuff. (Can’t just land with nair because it’s easily punishable :D)
Yeah he gets really hard when you realise you have to use your brain and cant just throw gordo and mash. Hmm, almost as if choosing your options and reading your opponents is a part of the game. (for the hard characters, at least)

Little Z didnt press B twice with his side B, causing it to last longer which causes him to go too far from the ledge to even think about recovering
As someone who got smash at twelve before my birthday I can confirm that I can quick attack on stage
The Villager Mewtwo match up is backwards. Mewtwo has to change his options and play carefully because of his large hit box and light weight while Villager just does Fair to win.

Lmao, I'm 19 and it took me like 5 hours to get it right, AND to get all the angles. Aswell as figuring out when to up b again if I hit a wall. And even then I still mess up sometimes

The input characters besides Kazuya still working with this character by the way are easy because I got use to the inputs and the characters really quickly. I love using the inputs of each classic fighting game characters, especially the double hadouken for Terry 's Are you ok? Buster Wolf!!!
