Can you take a picture of the straight stitch close up? Also what are some reasons that a new machine won't feed fabric or jams easily? Feet are up, everything is threaded and it will be going just fine and then if I pause (say to turn a corner or just a pause like I would if I was removing a pin) the machine stops feeding fabric.
I buy my janome hd1000 in jully and now in september, the steering wheel is too tight and sometimes it slow down the motion of the machine, what can i do, thanks
Nice video but as someone who found this video after buying their first sewing machine with absolutely no knowledge of sewing I feel like a few steps are missing, like how do I thread the machine, how do I load the bobbin, what is the lever to the left that pulls an arm down next to the needle, do I need to worry about thread tension, etc....? Correlating the stitch # on the chart to the dial on the knob is pretty self explanatory as is the stitch length and reverse buttons.

sounds like you got thread caught in your takeup lever joint. I'd recommend taking it yo your local dealer and see if they can look at it for you!
Can you do a blanket stitch on a Janome HD1000?
Yes you can! it's stitch letter G
Looks like my upper thread is not going correct way
