While both series started serialization only months apart in Japan, North American distribution for KaoruHana didn't happen until June of this year. Blue Box on the other hand has had an official western release since 2022.
even in the manga most of the sports part are cut, no idea why the author didn't include some cool matches because the one with :SPOILEEEEEEEEEEEER: Haryu is fucking good. Anyway this is in my top 10 manga romance
I think they wanted this to be a fall anime to release alongside dandadan cause (fun fact) blue box’s manga started a week after dandadans did, so fun thing to have their anime release at the same time aswell
I'm not gonna lie, but this is one the most incredible romance anime I've seen in a while, and it has beautiful animation in general. Also, the sports are well done, so yeah I recommend this you two!
Blue box is The best Rom x Sports anime this season! And as a manga reader... This is gonna be one of those anime which will define a genre mix... The sports and romance are really well balanced and and art is just next level... Kouji Miura the mangaka of blue box did an amazing job at this! You really don't wanna miss this one in my opinion!

Blue box is like 60% romance and 40% sports anime (or at least manga, I don't know how they will put the sport part) but is very good!
