Coming from a more of a board game background, your videos have inspired me to try Warhammer too. So I am really enjoying these videos.

The foundry castings are almost exact duplicates of the old citadel figures without the shields. The original 5th edition spearmen had standard heater shields which was changed for 6th edition with something more resembling pavises. I think most companies which sell medieval figures like Gripping beast or 1st corps sell heater shields which would fit these figures.

As an aside in 6th you can have halberds and shields but in close combat the shields won't give the plus 1 armour save.
If memory serves in 5th and 6th up the actual army book (ie their Ravening Hordes and Chronicles army lists) Men at Arms could take both.

Like it! You should get the Ravening Hordes book for 6th edition. So you can use the older army lists.
