The foundry castings are almost exact duplicates of the old citadel figures without the shields. The original 5th edition spearmen had standard heater shields which was changed for 6th edition with something more resembling pavises. I think most companies which sell medieval figures like Gripping beast or 1st corps sell heater shields which would fit these figures.
As an aside in 6th you can have halberds and shields but in close combat the shields won't give the plus 1 armour save. If memory serves in 5th and 6th up the actual army book (ie their Ravening Hordes and Chronicles army lists) Men at Arms could take both.
I love it, but I also love Mordheim.. The campaign system there.. :) But lovely!
Yes Mordheim has to be one of the best skirmish games ever.
Love that old Warhammer Skirmish book!
I only have it in pdf form, trying to track down a physical copy as it is a great book.
Coming from a more of a board game background, your videos have inspired me to try Warhammer too. So I am really enjoying these videos.
Excellent. I am enjoying my first steps into the warhammer game (having loved to world for years)
@@TheBattlinBarrowGaming Yes indeed, the lore is fantastic!

I was thinking about lookign for suitable shields to add to them.
Like it! You should get the Ravening Hordes book for 6th edition. So you can use the older army lists.
Keep it up! Cheers!
