I think Chris Jericho and Bryan Danielson can get the E-pass. Being ex-WWE main eventers comes with certain privileges after all. It’s the homegrown talent and the Elite that shouldn’t get that pass. IMHO.

I saw the whole interview with Helwani and I have to say that I consider it as really shitty journalism to take two things HHH said on different occasion out of context and put them together to make it sound like he was shooting on AEW when he absolutely didn't. Also at that time when AEW beat NXT, NXT still was arguably doing much better shows consistently than AEW did. The real funny thing though is how Jericho is basically accusing HHH of lying about not caring about AEW and then goes on and claims the same for his company when there's basically not a single show they don't mention WWE in one form or the other.

Bands play smaller clubs before arenas. That's how that works. And if a band that's been playing 15 years and is still only drawing 1000 people, you're not going to put them in an arena. You just won't.

Jericho is definitely one of my all time favorites; his career is hall of Fame worthy. I also like AEW, but they haven't been the "best" lately. They went from firing on all cylinders to putting on an ok product. Also, Ted Turner had a lot of money and WCW still went bust. Sooo...🤷🏻♂️
In the end, as a fan of pro wrestling as a whole and not a single promotion, I want to see everyone succeed. Hopefully they focus on their strengths cut the BS.

Funny how many times I hear Tony say 'Jericho v _____ was my favorite match' when they're the only thing 90% of everyone else hates more than his commentary.
One of Santana and Ortiz left before they won the tag titles, dragged through a bad Jericho feud. OC got literally nothing from beating 'Le Champion'. And for a guy who should be helping build new stars (30+ years into his career), he sure does like burying people like Eddie Kingston, saddling Jake Hager in a dead end role, booking himself into title matches, taking time off whenever is convenient for him, and making vague discussions about the wrestling business intensely personal affairs.
Lest he forget how, despite 'bad decision from bad creative' was how he described 2.0 and they're further from the title scene than they've ever been.
AEW does one watchable show a week, then talks about how they 'sell out' PPVs, even though the last 4 have had tickets available the day of and only do 4 per year.
Once people realize that AEWs biggest stars don't sell for shit and have to hit 11 finishers between them to finish a match (unless it's outside interference, then Brit Baker can beat Ruby Soho with a bad small package after one right hand from Jamie 'Elevated Dark Performer' Hayter), they'll tune out AEW like they tuned out WWE.
OH WAIT.
It's taken Danielson being thrown into things to make people care about Garcia, ten times what pairing him with Jericho has done. Only for AEW to use that as the flimsiest excuse to do the match on Sunday.
It's weird: AEW 'wants competition', but books 90% of their bloated card AFTER seeing what WWE would do, and moved their PPV so they won't compete with the actually significant Worlds Collide show.
I'm glad I have other plans, just so I don't have the slightest temptation to spend 8 hours watching matches to retcon on Wednesday.

Many people including Tony have said this before, they obviously are very aware of WWEs product and some of the big changes that go on (because how would you avoid it completely anyway, it's WWE) but it's not like they care to the point that they watch all their shows every week to counter program because they're more focused on themselves

It then later became a developmental brand with its own show, and then it grew into the third brand.
Now its back to being developmental again.
