Amazon reviews are the best. Saw one where the person gave one star about a light fixture because they fell off a ladder installing it lol literally nothing to do with the fixture itself.
My daughter loves when she sees Connor helping you in the kitchen ❤ we just follow along. She gets a ton of confidence when she sees a kid her age doing things.
Steven's grandmother's cornbread is a staple in our house! Probably have made it 20x by now lol soooo good. It's my dads favorite. He even eats it for breakfast with honey! I realized my oven is different so do a different time. Even have to do that with frozen pizza.
I sat down to watch you with my bowl of cheeseburger soup that a friend shared with me, fun to eat what you’re making. Thank you for another great video! 😊💕😊
I buy leg quarters from Walmart. I cut the thigh off of the leg and use the legs for soup and use the thighs for meals. My kids are grown so easier to use the legs for that. They are Perdue brand and it's a 10lb bag for $6.14 in Upstate NY Just wanted to put it out there I know it's gotten me through some tough times hope it helps someone.
I do the same Tracey .. except I boil the legs and freeze the thighs uncooked. I use the leg meat in casseroles and then freeze the stock from boiling the legs.
I’m not entirely sure if Connor’s “mom, what’s for dinner?” at the start was scripted. But if it was, can I just say that it’s so cute how he seems to be so willing and excited to be part of your videos / help with making things in the kitchen 🥰
The recipe you used for Cheeseburger soup is the same one I've used for years. It was a favorite with my husband and kids. I always got a yea! When they saw what was for supper. Love all your meal ideas!
The recipe critic 😍😍😍 I’ve used her recipes for fire cracker chicken and sesame chicken for YEARS. Literally so much better than takeout! Love that site!
Wow, I’ve missed some stuff. I have been very sick the past bit. So, I’ve missed a number of your videos 😞 I will be doing catch up over the next bit. I love your stuff (videos). They make my mental health happy. ♥️
Just started watching. But I keep meaning to tell you that I see you wearing your wedding ring on the right finger. You go, girl!! You’re doing great! And you constantly amaze me with everything you do! ❤️
Sue here: cheeseburger soup has been a big hit here!!! I make it homemade too - just so scrumptious. Jen, love all your video ideas and hard but fun? ... work 🎈.
@@leighdegenhardt485 me too. The time really depends on how big the meatballs are. Just keep an eye on them every few mins. It’s the only way I cook mine now.
Don’t you just love OXO products?! They are always so good. Every time America’s Test Kitchen gives a product review, they win. I’m very impressed with the quality.
It might sound weird but when I make cheeseburger soup I put a little worschisture sauce, hamburger seasoning,, ketchup, mustard and a splash of pickle juice in the hamburger as I cook it, gives it more of a cheeseburger taste.
My family loves the cheeseburger soup. We top ours with ketchup, mustard and pickles. My recipe actually calls for ketchup and mustard in the soup. So delicious!
Hi sweet Jen we are a vegetarian family. I try to keep beans, quinoa and pastas. Can always whip something up with the basics most have on hand. Love ❤ Missy in San Antonio
Yum! Murphy says next time save me a meatball or two! It would be easy to double up in the meatballs and freeze half for a later meal when you really don't have much time to cook dinner! They would also be good over rice!
I try to keep boxed broths and canned broths or frozen homemade at all times so that soup stews casseroles pasta things can be made in a needed not really anything we would like to buy around. And bits and ends in the house. I also pickle eggs. Buy on sale dozens and can make huge jars. Eggs in the grocery store are dated three week shelf life which is not even close. But governmentally mandated to egg farmers. They will be fine for weeks later. Do many flavors and its a well loved snack or lunch they get wiped out fast but very cost efficient. And do ferments out of veggies that are about to go. I also always stock up on beans and soups and tomatoes sauces etc. Yes Always comes in handy some how some way. :) I totally myself love buttered egg noodles with a dash of salt and a bit of gravy. Club house pork. Another trick I do if no bread crumbs for meatloaf or balls or hamburgers etc. I actually use oatmeal. So I put a very small amount of quick or steal oats in my blender, For a quick whirr. It works perfect and my gluten intolerant husband can eat the dishes. And they hold together perfect and taste amazing. So love Murphy....hugs
I love cheeseburger soup. I've been making it for 40 years. I also make a cheesy meatball soup that's made about the same way as the cheeseburger soup only you make meatballs and drop in the broth. It calls for a jar of Cheez Whiz. It's so good. My whole family loves it.
My mom has fixed cornbread (always Jiffy brand) in a variety of containers including a cast iron skillet, whole like you did or pan fried like pancakes, in muffin tins, and in one of those cast iron skillet things that makes the cornbread look like ears of corn.
My family and I feel sometimes the best dishes are made with fragments (whatever you have on hand before grocery day) we call those meals stuff 🤣 my family will say can you make some more of that stuff😆
Those were some really great ideas Jen. I am as bad as my son lol 😂, he will come out and ask what I feel like for dinner and most of the time it’s I don’t know. Then I ask him and he says I don’t know either, eventually we come up with something lol 😂. I really enjoyed your video as always. Hugs 🤗 for everyone. 🙏❤️👍🥶🇨🇦
Amy grants grandmas banana bread is by far the best banana bread I have ever made. It's has a few things that are different than others and anyone I make it for agrees its the best!
Love my OXO peeler!! I wish my family would eat chili and soups…my oldest and I love them but my hubby and 2 youngest don’t! 😞 Frustrating to say the least.
I know you said you got your beef from someones at Adam's work.. do you remember the price per pound? I'm curious because my family want to do it. & it was $6.79lb and i don't know if it is a good price... or even what to ask lol
I’m 32 years old and just learned that you stab potatoes before baking them so they don’t explode. I knew you were supposed to stab them but I thought it helped them cook faster. 🤦🏼♀️😂

Why have I never made chili in the instant pot?? Noted. Need to do that. Thanks for making Steven's grandmother's recipe for Southern cornbread 🥰

The parchment paper sling was a game changer.. makes it 100x easier.
Yummy recipe ideas for when there's "nothing" to eat in the house 😂. Helps to think outside the box & get a little creative.

Great idea! I used all ground beef in this recipe but I want to do another with chicken.
I do the same Tracey .. except I boil the legs and freeze the thighs uncooked. I use the leg meat in casseroles and then freeze the stock from boiling the legs.
@@DianaTx361 I boil the legs too and use that stock to cook it in my Ninja Foodi. I have never had to make soup that takes longer than 7 minutes.
@@Jen-Chapin ground beef is so expensive here I use a lot of chicken. But I will definitely try this recipe thank you for sharing. 😍

I love cheeseburger soup. Perfect for cold Midwest winter day. Can’t wait to try the meatballs.
Great video, breakfast burritos freeze and reheat really well too.
Thanks for another great video
Thank, Jen! 😊
Have you ever cooked the meatballs in an air fryer? I do it all the time. It doesn’t take long at all. And I never burn mine anymore either.
How long do you cook them for?
@@leighdegenhardt485 about 8 mins if they are homemade meatballs. Just keep a watch in them and shake the basket a few times. They cook really quick.
Thanks for the info!!! I'm going to try this! I love my air fryer!
