Superb performance. One of the best Mazeppas I've heard.

ToAlgorox: ONE of the best? There are other performances out there that are equal to this?

@@richardvolpe7664 You're right. Haven't heard one yet. This is more polished and nuanced than Yunchan Lim's.

Yeah, I’m still wondering how anyone can get this clarity in Mazeppa

Very very good interpretation with strong individual ideas, very clean chord leaps and extremely clear sound is achieved. Thank you for your amazing performance!

Really like the fingering, makes it more bouncy and fluid. Also the interpretation in general is really good.

No one will ever top this, and I doubt that anyone will ever even match its extraordinary musical, as well as technical excellence. In the first presentation of the theme, no one has ever dispatched the 3rds like this. . . they're somehow 'non legato,' and strikingly crisp and clear. I'd label this performance as a one-time-only phenomenon. And what a pleasure to watch a pianist with such impeccable, thoroughly professional stage demeanor, unlike that other Asian, showmanship-addicted clown whose name is Lang-something or other (I never can remember his last name).

@@richardvolpe7664 Listen to Berezovsky France dvd record, which is by far the best interpretation.
Then there is some other good performances.
This one is stokatto crippled worse-than-mediocre one. Sorry.

Since you've ostensibly been living under a rock, I would like to introduce you to Yunchan Lim and the van Cliburn competition

@@theonehappyorc1235 For the life of me, I don't understand what you're trying to say in your third sentence. Would you like to rephrase it? By the way, I listened to Berezovsky; he's quite good, but I prefer Zhang (who doesn't sweat at all. . . not relevant, I know. . . just felt like mentioning it).

@@Maywek bro imagine someone playing piano while back flipping. like you reach a part of the piece with a rest, you get up and do a back flip infront of the audience and sit back down and continue playing. I kinda wanna see that actually 💀
