Hello guys I missed and washed my remote with my sheets as well. I was so worried about what to do, so I just put my remote in front of heater. My heater is electric and it gets cool also. I did like she said but just put it in front of the heater to dry more faster. You could probably use a blow dry as well.
I gathered my bed sheets up and put them in washer before it started to agitate I realized the Directtv remote was in them. The batteries fell out and backing was off it was soaked. Waiting until tomorrow to see if it works.
I put my remote in the washing machine by accident. I took the batteries out and stuck it in a container with rice. Hope it works. Thank you for your video.
You are so welcome!😍You do know that DirecTV will replace your remote if you have the equipment insurance. They'll replace it even if you don't sometimes. Depending on how long you've had it.
I have an older remote, my husband knocked it into my cup of tea!!! I grabbed a rag and started to whip The liquid out of the temote, So far most of the tea came out,thank You so much for posting this video Lucky I saved the old remote, but it does Not work on the tv itself,sound and On and off.

Moisture causes corrosion under the surface mount components, seen it many times.As you can't clean the corrosion from under them,you would be very lucky to have a working remote, long term.

@@LadiReview Its a samsung tv, warranty expired, they charge $200 for replacement (ridiculus price) so I just bought a universal remote for 10 bucks off amazon...

Treated it just like I treat my kids. Smacked it upside the head and it started working

Take the batteries out and dry the inside. Tap the remote on a dry towel to remove water that's left inside. Replace the batteries.
