- Comment and let me know your thoughts on the video and which vehicles you like best! I thought it would be really cool to show you guys what I like to do in my free time along with my dad. He and I have been going to car auctions for the past 10+ years together and it is a hobby we really enjoy! Lots of cool finds at this sale. Several Crown Vic's, a couple Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicles and a couple Taurus Interceptor models. Aside from the police vehicles there are a few other neat vehicles that were at the sale I decided to squeeze those into the video also.
As a current police officer, those crown victims were tanks! We would be hard on them not all of them but they always started up. The only issue I remember having was the water pump failing, but it still made it back to the District smoking and all! Either way you can't go wrong with the amount of tech and durability they have. I say go for it!
Geez $1900 for that first FPIU , I can’t find ones in that condition for less than 5-10k around me 😭 I need help finding these deals
I bought a 2003 Crown Vic dark blue. It was a former New York State trooper cruiser. I bought it with 180 K. No rust or body damage either. I got 400,000 miles out of that car. So don’t let the mileage scare you
Was the engine or transmission replaced??
Hey man, those were some pretty decent selling prices. Yeah some of the cars needed work but a trip to the junk yard might just have those flaws fixed up again for not a lot of cash. Definitely some of profit potential with many of them if you're interested in a fun project and flip.
I agree for sure! If I didn't have so many projects already at the house I definitely would've pulled the trigger on a couple. Especially the nicer of the 2 explorers. Dad almost bought the Taurus, he bid up to $4,500 and it ended up selling for the $4,600. He was thinking of just keeping that as a personal vehicle for a while. Still a good buy though! I also liked the GMC, after filming the video I took a closer look the next day and noticed some poor quality rust repair on the front fenders. Looking back though there was definitely alot of good deals at the sale!
The 2nd ford explorer was decent for $3,400 . I would definitely get 1 for that price . will use it as my daily driver for my Rottweiler when we go out...my rottie name is also Eli
That was definitely a great buy! I almost went for that one, but space is tight with all the vehicles I have now plus the engine did seem to have a noticeable misfire and a strong fuel smell. Still a good deal though!
I grew up with these Crown Vics, and my school has the only Crown Vic in their patrol fleet, a 2000 model. Since then, my area mostly has Explorers.
Crown Vics are a super solid car! I'd take them over the Explorer units any day.
@@Eliyourcarguy My other school that I previously attended has a 1995 Escort wagon. Both the Crown Vic and the Escort wagon came in Oxford White from the factory, but the latter was (Crown Vic) originally equipped with lights, but they were later removed when they purchased it from an auction in North Bay. The interior is medium blue tweed cloth, with a Setina partition/plastic rear seats and no lock pins on the rear passenger doors. It still has the OEM radio, but luckily it had a really old Toughbook on the center console. The only minor issues with the Crown Vic are the lack of hole plugs from the rain and the sagging headliner, and the missing trunk emblem.
Got my 2011 CVPI for $2900 with 78k on it from the state police auction. Been the best car I've had to date
Awesome vid bro, straight to the point!! 👍
Not sure how true this is, but I've been told the Explorer interceptors have the inside of the doors lined with Kevlar ( bullet proof) ❓
Thinking of buying one for added security.
Not all of them , but yes they do. They usually have a sticker saying "Ballistic Panel" on them. The door tends to be heavier! But these interceptors are built really tuff. Just bought one as a commuter car to replace my sentra lol.
The backs of the seats do too.
Wow.. 10k and 12k idle hours on those utilities. That's nuts.. I just sold my 2011 cvpi with 90k miles on it a couple weeks ago.. it only had 880 idle hours and I had people left and right trying to tell me that was a lot of idle hours rofl (I know it's not).
Definitely crazy high hours! My 2008 CVPI that I used to have only had around 2,700 idle hours when I sold it with 134k!
One of my buddies drives a 2016 PUV for work with 98k miles and over 10k idle hours. He said it drives just fine.
@@Anon1mous Geez.
To help you people out these prices are no longer valid!! I shop around the whole country for auctions I never seen these cars go for that cheap😂😂 tgis video blows my mind🤯🤯. this video was before COVID-19 prices 😂🤪🤪
Have a 2004crown vic had it since 2012 transmission is going out does annybody how i can get another trans or another crown vic
Where is this located? I'm really interested all of a sudden..seriously let me know
Did you try reading the title? Haha.
Since crown vics are mainly known for being police cars and taxis and ive seen crown vics that have 500k miles max so 180k miles is nothing for those cars
Very interesting!
Cool video. I’ve heard that every idle hour on a Ford is 30-33 driven miles, so those explorers have about 400000 miles! I do like CVPI’s, Tahoe PPV’s and Caprice PPV’s.
Torn seats from duty belts. Radio, keys, flashlight.
180k on a Vic ain't shit!!! She just a little more broken in might ride a little smoother c'mon!
Anyone know of any ex police vehicles auctions in Central Florida?
Just sit on your driveway and pretend you’re a cop.. why buy that garbage lol 😂
How many did you buy?
Wisconsin surplus auctions are all on line. The Explorer generally go for around $6,000 to $7,000. What a great deal.
Your pops made me crack up 😂.
I have a 2010 Impala police interceptor.
2010 crown Victoria police interceptor.
Love em . Had a lot of cars in my day but I love reliable vehicles. I got a weak spot for the vics though.
He's hilarious lol. Awesome fleet you have there! Nothing like a good clean Crown Vic... and they are getting hard to find in good shape with low miles!
All those deals and you didn’t buy anything????? Gotta loosen up Eli
The blue expetition has no lether seats they are vinil.
Only top of the line have lether
That GMC looks great! My dad hit the Chevy version and it was a 2500 with the 305.
I thought you'd like that GMC! They are great pickups. The 305 was a good motor!!
EliYourCarGuy sure was
Those explorers were absolute steals
What state is that place located.
How do you find these places and eh were is this one at?
I mean it literally says it in the title haha.
Thing with cop cars is not so much the mileage but the idle hours.
Yeah 10k : 88k is ridiculous
Wow super cheap for those utes... Although the idle hours were nuts.
The vàn cargo 😮
Thank you for the information very helpful I'm just getting started
I'm from Delaware how do I find an auction to pick up a state vehicle. Please advise
Good movie
I wish you inspected that gray older Impala, I would have liked to see the status and condition of that car.
Can you please tell me some government website auctions please... Thanks and nice video
Nice Fords Eliyourcarguy
Can you please give me the address of this place. Thanks
When do they have these auctions, I would like to go and check out those police cars
That red truck would've been a perfect work truck if it had 4x4!
Website or location for the auction great video
Where can I get one of those cars and trucks…
I have the money to afford one of these now ive wanted one for years but I dont know how to get one I live in Pennsylvania and I look up government car auctions in carlisle and didn't find anything. The only ones I find online are selling for like $8000 in the same condition as the car in this video that sold for $4250
Hey, just google something like gov deals or government auctions. I found plenty of them, and it is just amazing how many nice things you can take there.
@@andriipcreate Thanks man I appreciate the response but im no longer in the market for one of these.
Hope you all purchased the Taurus, they sell fast!
That crown Vic color looked so good
Man, 3k for a taurus, I gotta scoop one up.
Any idea if the spot lights and antennas are legal in PA? I just got a utility, it has spotlight, antennas and a push bumper. It also has some storbes that are unhooked. Few people told me it was illegal.. the law doesn't really say from what I can see.
Yes they are legal 100%. I'm not 100% sure on this but I think you can even have a functioning lightbar as long as they are amber, yellow or white
Also where did you get the utlitity from in pa
Aye managers choice in meat usually means it’s expiring soon lol
