Happy Easter!!! It's our first Easter in Germany together and due to the current situation we decided to make the most of it! We had a Easter Egg Hunt with different candy and chocolate we bought here in Germany! We are never too old to have fun!! What are you doing during this holiday? 💜
We don't have plans to at the moment. Sometimes, our internet is unstable, so we don't want it cutting out mid video. 😢 We hope you're staying safe during this time! 💜
We can't do this in Australia where we are. 30dg during day, low of 20dg. Oh how I wish we were in Germany! Meant to be coming in October. Worried it will be cancelled but still hoping we can visit. 3rd time to Germany 💗💗💗
When I was growing up in Wisconsin we always had an egg hunt w/ all the cousins, but we hunted 4 actual hard boiled eggs that we all dyed the day b4 as a fun family activity. N since we were using real eggs they were always outside. (There r always unfound eggs.) All of our candy n chocolates - including a 16oz solid chocolate bunny - were in our Easter baskets which we would receive from our parents after church n b4 the egg hunt.
Yes, we definitely do Easter egg hunts here in the U.S. It's usually families for their own children (colored hard-boiled eggs, plus a basket of goodies), though some churches hold them for the children in the parish. There have been public Easter egg hunts, most notably the ones usually held at the White House, but I trust that's been put on hold this year, for obvious reasons. A blessed Easter to you all!!
Happy Resurrection Day! I started in on the Dark Choc Dove bunny and watermelon peeps yesterday. Yum! Ham, scalloped potatoes and green bean casserole is what’s for dinner. Delivering portions to my children.
That meal sounds delicious ! Over here it's usually either; - sandwiches with homemade egg salad (hardboiled eggs mashed with mayonaise and mustard and some chives or parsley) - asparagus with hardboiled eggs crumbled on top and hollandaise sauce or butter sauce; _à la flamande_ (flemish style) - Or we also top the asparagus with grey prawns (shrimp) because that's also abundantly found in our north sea. (The tiniest shrimp, very flavorful) and topped them off with good olive oil and breadcrumbs. But we also make chicken pot pie, or lamb with mashed potatoes and peas.
Aaawwh that is so awsome Phil you are so sweet doing that for Deana( but of course you knew you get some of the Loot)😀😀.i will make easter egg hunt for my dogs. 2 big eggs and i put meatballs in there. Yes Easter is one of my Faves Holidays. Happy Easter to both of you from Florida
Hey Phil! You was'nt aware of Milka Löffelei?? 😲 I love them for years! But now you discovered them too! I am so glad... Now you can enjoy them! 😉😄😁 Happy Happy Easter to you guys! Love your Videos so much! Greetings from Berlin 👍😎
Eastern egg hunt...In my youth I loved it. I stand up so really early, that the whole family still slept. And I searched for all hidden goodies. I kept it in my mind and go to bed again. After final raising up we kids began with searching. Due to my „presearch“ I found the most😂 I don’t like the normal Nougat/Chocolate mixture or flavour. Normal chocolate bunnies/eggs are ok. Some mixtures with crispy flakes are as well. But my absolute favourite is a biiiig Marzipan egg.
Yeah, in the US we have Easter Egg hunts but mainly for kids though. I haven't had an Easter egg hunt in years. We mainly do it on Easter Sunday though. My family does Easter activities and games.
It snowed the Good Friday that my brother was born! 1982. But we always had our Easter egg hunt indoors when we lived in Germany as we lived in a flat.
Fun! I really enjoy seeing what candy is available in other countries! Tomorrow, my parents and I are having Alaskan crab legs that my parents brought back from Alaska, Honeybaked ham, and coconut cake, probably some veggies too!
Deana and Phil is like to know how much weight you guys are gaining during this CORONA time, I know I’ve been putting on a few pounds, all I do is go to work and straight home and grocery shop if absolutely necessary. Just so you know I work in a hospital laboratory, and yes I perform the corona testing. A lot of people are coming up positive young and old. Keep safe!!
Growing up in Canada we’d dye real eggs as kids but the Easter egg hunt was with regular chocolate. We didn’t put it inside plastic eggs, but that would be neat.
Surprised that the Malteser bunny packet did not make an appearance ! 😉😄 Also the M&M easter eggs. They are like miniature "seagull eggs" or "pigeon eggs" which are my favorite !! They look like pastel coloured real bird eggs, coated in what looks like ... chalk ? With the "speckles" to make it look like real bird eggs. They are just filled with praline or nougat filled.
When I was a kid we always had a Easter egg hunt indoors. Looking for plastic eggs and real eggs. The other candy we usually put in a Easter basket with a gift.
The "fried eggs" are Fondant. My mother gave it to me and my brother every easter when we were kids (more than 20 years ago). We didn't like it at all, but she liked it and because of that she thought we just had to like it as well... Oh well, there was enough other sweet stuff. ^^
Happy Easter to you two. I just wanted to let you know that I also found "Toffifay" at my local Walmart. They weren't the greatest but they weren't the worst either.

At 3:23 Deana says, "Are they in eggs" and I knew she'd have to explain the concept to Phil. Both easter egg hunts I've attended in Germany have had actual hard-boiled eggs (colored) and the kids don't seem to mind. What do they do with them? Give them to their parents? Here, have some hard-boiled eggs. Where's my candy? When I'm home for Easter I'm in charge of hiding the (plastic, candy-filled) eggs and am required to make a list of all the locations because some have only turned up after several months. With the Fondant-Spiegeleier I am somewhat surprised that they still exist. I think I used to like them as a kid in the 1980s but they are awfully sweet.
