Don’t care what the naysayers are complaining about. RE2 (2019) & RE3 (2020) are truly amazing reimaginings.
That beginning was crazy! First it's first-person and expository and all feels normal and then BLAM!! Nemesis comes to wreck the day.
And I like how the characters are given more personality. You feel like they're actual people.

I miss the Clock Tower scene when Jill says, "I'm saved." And then Nemesis shoot the helicopter.
I heart honestly went out to Kendo when Jill found him. You could tell he was really caught between a rock and a hard place. Wish the, “no time to mourn” DLC was canon.
Then it hits harder with the RE 2 scene.
The first 10 mins are already so intense...
Anyone else noticed that Jill didn't even eat once since the moment she woke up?
Well, when there is a zombie pandemic in your town, it is kinda difficult to think "hmm, I don't know if I want a steak, a chicken, or I will go after a salad..."

It’s because she ate half an extra large Mega Meat Supreme pizza.
I had really lost "faith" in this franchise, due to the loss of the horror (fear) in the movies; and the video games seemed to struggle keeping up with the excitement, created by their original video game horror classic Resident Evil. The video game industry started telling better horror stories but, they included dynamic playing mechanics... whereas RE's playing mechanics really struggled.
This Remaster, paired with SHN (which I've been a long time subscriber) "storytelling" playing style...have saved this franchise for me!

This game came out in such a perfect time when the whole world is under real quarantine now. A good game & my mixed emotions...
2:10:40 I love how there was a licker in the hallway the entire scene. In real-time, that thing would've busted through the door hearing Carlos and the Doc talking. And need I even ask how Tyrell was able to calmly walk into the room as if there was no Licker out there? Ah, video game logic at it's finest.
Something I noticed which shows how far games have come: the light from the torch wraps across the geometry of the environment, responds to distance from objects and casts real time shadows. Graphics have come a long way since I was playing megadrive and sega saturn!
I don't understand how this channel doesn't have more than a million subs....best gameplays with no commentary out there!
They did a really good job with this remake, my only complaint is that they cut too much content. But still a gorgeous game that is a lot of fun to play. Looking forward to the rest of the remakes and hopefully new RE games as well with this new engine!
I will agree with ya. This remake has some good aspects like the design of nemesis, the characters, and other things. But my complaints is no clocktower, slow boring zombies, and the fact that nemesis is not around as he should be. Mr x was more scarier than nemesis in this remake. It's sad that they did that to my favorite tyrant Nemesis 😭.
For one nemisis could have at least been the one to kill Brad . Not much of a badass in the remake.
Compared to how much they added in the 2002 remake of the first game I think they did only an average job here and I only liked the first half of the game. I'd rather play the RE3 1999 original than this again.

He stops a rocket with his tentacle in the first 5 minutes of the game, as well as being able to take an unholy amount of damage.
Then there’s the fact that when he chases you in the Free roam downtown section, he is inescapable and a menace.
He’s still a badass and alot deadlier than Mr X
That battle versus Nemesis on the top of the building was something!!!

Carlos is soo much more likable in this game. In the original he was too goofy and acted like a jackass. And rolling up his sleeves like a dweeb. Reminds me of Mac from Always Sunny.
The hospital part was insane.
There are 2 special moments in the game for me: 1:37:00 The fire ladder making of brigde between RE 3 and RE 2, and 2. The credits scene. They are epic! Great gameplay! Thank you!
I was suppose to go pick up my copy Monday and Final Fantasy 7 but I'll pick them up later. We have the worst case of Corona here in my area so I'm not dying for a game that will be here around way longer than compared to dying from a dangerous virus.

Maybe it’s seems like a short game because we’re all under quarantine and not doing anything? Re2 was just about the same length. Only difference is, we weren’t forced to stay home while it was released. Game looks amazing, buy it or don’t. Have an opinion or not. It’s a sick game.
This game is amazing, the graphics, the gameplay, the scenery. Capcom worked well on that game, same scheme as Resident Evil 2 Remake.
I'm surprised they rated this game so highly considering how short it is and how much was cut from the original and how little replay value there is. It's sad how games from over 20 years ago managed to have more content and replayability than modern games.
Looking back on this.... Carlos a real one, for sure... He KNEW she was infected, and he KNEW what those things could do to someone if they got to close.... What does he do? Throw Jill on his back, backpack style, so that his neck is in perfect reach of her mouth... 😅😅😅😅😅😅 What a guy...
I love all version of Resident evil games me and my husband have played just about all of them except the new ones. This graphic of Jill Valentine is beautiful the graphic art design for this game is sooo cool excellent work people!!
they have removed many episodes from the game's original game on playstation 1, they had to go to jill police station that had a short gameplay period, they changed the script, still my favorite resident evil 2 remake
What I'd had love most from this remake, they still use the old background music from the original RE3 and the ending song... it makes me chill and nostalgic from the 1998 version and the remake..

This was for sure one of the better remakes! I never got the chance to get a copy and play. I know we're all hard on these games but the lighting was beautiful. The game was beautiful. And to mention you play with purpose. None of that aimlessly running around! You made it a movie to watch👌🏽
I love how racoon city is 1 giant scavenger hunt
Man, they did a great job of showing just how amped up the Nemesis-class Tyrant was compared to the usual Tyrants; Mister X was crippled by one rocket and killed by the second. Nemesis CATCHES the first one and the second just knocks it down for barely a few minutes at the most.
I love how they kept the Credits theme. Fave theme ever
I have mixed feeling about this game, they cut off like half of the enemies, weapons and locations of the original one
I love how Carlos' voice actor is the same as Javier Garcia from the walking dead game from Telltale

I wish they could've made it longer by adding extra features and a longer story. Anyways, I think RE3 remake is based on Capcom's vision of what they wanted to do 20 years ago when it was first released but couldn't because lacked the console power we have now.
Nemesis is more terrifying here especially on his humongous second evolved form, that monster chasing you in the alley will literally give you heart attack.

Thank You for this walkthrough! Enjoyed watching this and I must say, the best few hours I spent this week. RE3 really is one of the best games PS1 had back then and that background music during credits scene. REAL NOSTALGIA. It's been a very long time since I heard it and it sure does hit a lot of feels hearing it again. Reminded me of the very first time my brother finishing the game back in 1999. I was only watching him play then and I remember feeling relieved for Jill and Carlos while hearing that music as the credits roll.
The save room theme is a lowkey homage to the RE2 ps2 save room theme and I love it .
It honestly makes sense that Jill would have better moves and be more effective then the RE2Remake heroes; Leon is literally just fresh out of the academy, and Claire has only had amateur, non-professional combat training from Chris and is still in college.
Comparatively, Jill is a surviving member of STARS (effectively the RCPD’s SWAT unit) in addition to having already gone through this shit once five months earlier at the Mansion Incident.

I always thought, RE was more lika shooter thing without story, but I like this right away! If there is good quality graphic and an exciting story, I'm all in!

Honestly, the OG had so many damn "filler" areas that had nothing to do with the game or the story. Just filler content with stupid back and forth puzzles to make the game longer. And this is something those who are true fans will understand as this version is heavily focused on the story and character building instead of filler puzzles and random areas.
Great quality as usual. Could use a few more seconds to read the notes, had to time it just right to pause on most of them just to keep up. But still basically only channel worth watching for no commentary playthroughs. Also, lots of comments complaining about the 4.5hr completion time and missing segments but I never played the RE games when they first came out so it all looks great to me although I will say even I noticed a difference in the lower amount of puzzles remake 3 had compared to remake 2.
