    I used to blame my family for what happened in my life before but I've soon realized that those were my life choices and I only have myself to blame. I'm not worried anymore, since that big realization, I have taken responsibility for everything in my life. This video reminded me once again that I am in control and that I can still change things for the better. Thanks for this!

    So difficult to take ownership but so necessary. I've been guilty of blaming external circumstances for my errors but it’s just excuses. I never blamed my background or where I lived etc in the beginning and went out and got it but then when things when wrong in my professional and personal life I kept looking for outside circumstances as a sort of ‘comforter’ - it’s easier than blaming yourself but it doesn’t do you much good. I’ve had counselling for the issues I’ve had but there’s never enough encouragement to take back control of your life this way. A relationship went badly wrong because I got involved with someone who I knew to be less than 100% - no-one forced me to or to stay in it. My first project didn’t take off the way it should’ve because I probably didn’t sell myself well enough, yes I could’ve done with someone offering help but it’s still down to me. There is a little bit too much of this ‘McDonalds made me fat’ attitude out there and there needs to be more videos like this.

    Thank you man for making this vedio, you brought some clarity to me about this whole value of responsibility and why we are 100% responsible for what is happening in our lives.

    Great vlog again! I've had same situation. A "friend" stealing my ideas. I just don't know what to talk with this guy anymore.

    I don't think that the notion that in order to maximize your efficacy in life you must understand how your behaviour contributed to the the situations that surround you is properly expressed in the statement that you are "100% responsible for everything in your life", which is altogether too sensational and can be misleading. Adopting the mindset of taking 'general responsibility' involves diagnosing specific responsibility, figuring out what was and what was not a result of your own actions are deciding realistically what can be changed. This type of reflection takes time, uses energy, employs biological processes that you may have no control over whatsoever and which are a limited resource. So you are really not at all responsible for everything in your life any more than you gave birth to yourself, merely that if you want to control as much as is humanly possible you must confront honestly what you yourself contributed to. Or in other words, it's safe to assume (which is the origin of the semantic device "100%") that there's nearly always something that you did that led to the outcomes that arose... but there can be extreme situations that have nothing to do with your own actions, and the biological processes which facilitate thought and reflection come in limited supply.

    Hey Stefan I have one question and it would be great, if you could answer it. Which book you've read was the game changer in your life when it comes to mindset? Have a great day
    Simon

    • @ProjectLifeMastery
      @ProjectLifeMastery  9 лет назад +9

      +FleischwurstElite Hey Simon, that's easy - Tony Robbins book Awaken The Giant Within. Read it twice, has been a game changer, but also all of his audio programs and seminars. :-)
