Why is socially acceptable to pickle your liver in public, but strengthening your bones with moo juice remains preserve of villians? Seriously though, thanks, it's really good to see someone swimming against the tide of negativity. This channel is no where near as popular as it should be. Love your work
Well that’s why your support is so crucial as it allows us to build better content step by step and hopefully with that we can spread the good even further ❤️
I absolutely love and appreciate these stories. All the normal news wants to show us negative depressing things. You're channel is a wonderful and much needed break from that! Thanks so much!
Hi Sam. These videos do wonders for my mental health. I've found it disheartening how many people do not believe we are capable of making a positive change. You provide tangible evidence to the contrary. The first step to solving the problems our planet is facing is believing that we can. Keep up the good work.
Glad to hear that Andrew and you’re right, in every corner of the globe positive change is happening every day it sadly just doesn’t get as much airtime as the stories aren’t as eye grabbing or viral, but as individuals we can do so much, and when we come together collectively, that’s when things get interesting!
This is so true. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with all the negativity out there, it feels so massive and rapid. But when we see how others are working for good, it helps open our eyes to the changes we can make. And that’s how big things get done. Little by little.
Media is so disgustingly and solely focused on bad events and blaming people/things for it, so what you are doing here, telling people what the world should be proud of, instead of demotivating us with only our and the worlds failures and just simply tradgedies and wars in far off lands whenever they occur and can be reported, is really respectable, and I'd also agree with other comments saying you are underated, because you absolutely are. Keep it up man :)
I absolutely need more good news these days. Thank you for doing all the work! It can't be easy collecting all the info and editing it all together, so thank you for that!
Its hard to get all the stories in, especially in the final week or March as the editing takes so long too, but hoping to build on that quick fire section at the end to allow more stories to be included!
I hope the redwoods in the U.K. don’t damage the existing ecosystem, because they aren’t native and they’re so big that they might keep sunlight from other plants. I like this video, by the way. Thanks for the good news.
This is actually a serious concern. It's the same for Sitka spruce trees in the UK and Ireland, they're very different from local trees and grow much faster, causing a net loss in biodiversity. Keeping with the good news vibe though, there is a constant, even if slow, shift from sitka spruce plantations to native trees, at least in Ireland!
The news of the coral spawning in Cambodia brought me to tears (of joy)! It was also great to hear about the redwoods in the UK (who'd'a thunk it?). Thank you so much for bringing these global beacons of hope to a global audience. I very much appreciate you (and the YT algorithm that recommended this video to me).😀🎆🎵🎶🎉💃🏾🕺🏾(That's how happy I am rn.)
I certainly could be wrong, but I figured I might as well mention it just in case. At 4:43 the shot that you showed (of a empty field being burned) looks like it might have been a controlled burn, rather than anything directly against the climate. I say this because they can be incredibly useful in minimizing the impact of invasive plants, as in places like the vast majority of the united states and likely elsewhere, wildfires were a routine part of ecological renewal prior to widespread human habitation and habitat destruction. The controlled burns, (which may or may not be pictured in the video) attempt to replicate the conditions as a way of killing of the non-fire-tolerant invasive species in an open field or meadow, while allowing native plants to survive and return stronger to outcompete the invasive plants, overall having a better impact of ecosystems as a whole.
I did a story about the importance of controlled burns over on my Instagram, you’re right about their importance! The clip was from a stock video website I use that had relevant tags to the story, but will keep an extra eye on similar videos next time!
I had no idea there were redwoods in the UK. I've never heard of them talked about before or perhaps when I hear of them talked about I just assumed it was referring to those in the US. Thanks for all the good news!
Another cool thing about black rhinos that I just heard, is there was a surprise wild birth. It happened at a nature conservatory in Kenya I believe. There's only eight rhinos in the area and apparently it's hard to monitor them so they have cameras set up and they just recently discovered a six month old baby.
Hey Sam, I just wanted to let you know you’ve been a huge part of my self journey to becoming a less negatively minded person. I have you to thank for giving me the positive energy that I can bring into my own life.
If you haven't already, you've got to ready "Human Kind" by Rutger Bregman. Its an amazing book (quick read) talking about the question of us humans being inherently good or evil (spoiler: we are infact good), and how our perception about this gets changed, but also how this changes us. Long story short, Rutger Bregman, an incredibly intelligent man, would love what you do here. People like you bring me hope
Wow! First time seeing one if your videos! OMG! I’m crying 🥲 before seeing your video I had subjected myself to a news video and my vibration was at a very low frequency. Now I’m doing a Happy Dance!! Thank you so much! 🙏🙏❤️❤️
I believe that it isn't as straightforward as just walking away from this Treaty, the Fossil Fuel Corporations who designed this piece of legislation knew that countries would seek to leave before it ended so put in a Sunset Clause of 20 years, so although Britain is withdrawing from the Energy Charter Treaty it takes 20 years for the withdrawal to take effect due to this sunset clause, this clause means that Fossil Fuel Companies will still be able to sue Governments for the potential loss of profits in secret courts. Although Italy left the Treaty in 2016 it was sued by a British oil and gas company for potential loss of profits, the Italian government was forced to pay out €190m because it stopped the company from drilling near Italy's shoreline. As the British Government has given out hundreds of licences for exploration in the North Sea, the government could potentially be forced to pay out for the potential loss of profits of each of those companies if they try to stop the companies exploiting their licences. Tories knew about this but still gave out the licences.
What a good job mr. Bentley! Keep it up 👍 I’ll spread the word of your channel, cause you are right - these positive news don’t take up much space in conventional news !

Thanks for the good news. Shame we won't benefit from the ecocide law in the UK - would love to see something like that here. Glad to hear about the withdrawal from the fossil fuel treaty. The pine martens were adorable.
Visual feedback is driving + audio feedback is your favorite song. If you drive long enough the skills required becomes subconscious enough that you can multitask. However, when your favorite song comes on, or playlist.....you will give 80% of all mental resources to remember the words and notes to the song, you even created another you inside your mind singing the ad-libs...so to turn the music down is only giving driving 50% of your attention again, 😂 lol
As for turning down music to "see better" I think a lot of it has to do with sensory issues and focusing problems when there is too much sensory input, regardless of it is sight, sound, smell, taste, or touch.
I really like these types of videos, spreading hope instead of fear!! So please keep on making videos like this. You should try and collaborate with Mossy earth or Planet wild here on youtube to spread their work as well.
As a native Floridian, mangroves are so important and beautiful. Too bad they don't realize until the landscape is totally different. The UK has more redwoods than the US now? That's both awesome and really sad, the California wild fires really did some damage. But like the phoenix, I do believe the redwoods rise from the flames.

thanks for making me smile! I am so so worried and angry about how we keep hurting our only home. This makes me feel less stressed! I also some some stories - don't know if you've covered them - there's an organization aiming to repopulate oysters in hudson bay to filter and clean the water called the "Billion Oyster Project"... Boyan Slat's ocean clean up is making progress and almost ready to scale up as they have a working system now for cleaning the garbage patches in the oceans... America's wild horses recently gained a win against the bureau of land management (BLM) in making the BLM prepare actual management plans instead of just removing horses...
Love the positivity! What would be AWESOME is if you could share your sources/research studies publications links in the description of your videos. You know,... to keep it fair and decide for ourselves.
I just saw one of your videos for the first time think this is a great thing you're doing. The news is full of constant bad news, raging from bleak to terrifying. Every time I've opened by browser for months it's full of stories with headlines tweaked to make them seem more serious then they actually are, about meteors about to strike our planet, imminent nuclear war and the climate collapsing just to name the most common ones. In America the news can sometimes look like something form a disaster movie, when it isn't inciting angry mobs. At best this is done because the news truly believes that keeping the public informed and bad news is more important. At worst it's done for ratings and money. And this of course gives the impression that the world is a terrible place. Corruption, greed, violence, hate and incompetence far outweigh humanity's better qualities. Everything is getting worse, all efforts to fix the world fail, crisis are more intense then ever and even the end of civilization or even humanity is nigh. The news makes you want to give up hope. So I think what you're doing, reporting on the good things, covering not the devastating forest fire but the seedings that sprout in the aftermath, is a wonderful thing you are doing for the public.
It's always important to take news of laws and restrictions around climate and environment with a grain of salt. Very often, there is not enough research done to help low income workers transition from industries that are being shut down and regulated.

Love it, thanks! Injust cant hear the word clean energy, since its not clean. Its just moving our focus from oil and coal into rare metals. Its just moving the problem into a new jacket and is greenwashing to the max. So even though i love the energy people have for clean energy its faux. We really need to use less, be mindful and focus on a truly circular lifestyle first.
Dude. Thank you for what you’re making. I believe what you’re choosing to do is what the world needs. More inspiration that change for the better is possible and is already happening. Instead of the world is falling apart and getting worse. Harder times might still be ahead of us but this kind of content I think will invigorate people to try and help instead of giving in to a doomer mindset. Much love man. I hope I can watch your stuff long into the future
lol, ground water is invariably shit, compaired to spring water, the saturation of plastics is indicative of a lack of control, regarding the overall ambiguity beset by the plastics market. You’re right, the heavy amount of mineral content adheres to the plastic membrane, present in our water supply. What you have is a saturation of plastic particles that have saturated our overall biosphere, ( that’s the ocean, it’s very big ), Ground water is susceptible, but thanks for the update. You’re f**ked either way unless you can install a filtration system, Keep buying those plastic bottles fu**nuts, we love you 🥰
It's a shame that filtering microplastics out of boiled water will probably just go straight back into a landfill. But it's a start! Now we need more civil action on reducing our societal dependence on outdated waste disposal methods, and get those filtered microplastics somewhere they can be removed from the ecosystem permanently! A step in the right direction is better than none.
It’s important to acknowledge issues around the world but it feels so disproportionately bad whenever I turn on the news, it’s very disempowering for people to just consume negativity all day
Still very disappointing about the NRL getting blocked right before it was supposed to be signed. However, I hope it will still get through one day. Fantastic video as always though :) Keep it up
some may be wondering why we are holding on to negative news. There are a lot of biases that evolved throughout the years to keep us safe from risks and dangerous creatures or environments. The negativity bias is such thing where we keep our attention to negative information so we got the feeling of security just because of that knowledge. Sometimes we have to fight our evolutionary brain like as you just did watching this video If you are interested in more daily traps just watch the list of cognitive biases and spread some awareness of how our perception works.
The only thing I don't think is good news is the red wood trees, only because it is a part of North America and it kind of doesn't make me feel good or growing in the UK. Sorry. My heart still breaks that the Appalachian's American Chestnut is pretty much almost extinct. They used to be as grand as the redwoods in Cali.
Great stuff!!! Just one thing; Maybe a touch hyper-hyper fast. Not many of the articles were still in my memory at the conclusion except for those I already knew about. "Shorts" maybe the modern trend, but how much of the info actually "sticks". (even the younger ADHD need some time to digest input). Personal note:- "Humankind" by Rutger Bregman, is a GREAT read.

Instead of the world is falling apart and getting worse. Harder times might still be ahead of us but this kind of content I think will invigorate people to try and help instead of giving in to a doomer mindset. Much love man. I hope I can watch your stuff long into the future
WOW. Faith in humanity restored once again
🙏🏼🙏🏼
I've been struggling with my mental health lately. I needed this so much. Thank you! Also, that monkey seems to be wearing panties😂
Hope this can help a little bit!
Some good news helps a lot during a troubled time in my life. Thanks Sam
lol, ground water is invariably shit, compaired to spring water, the saturation of plastics is indicative of a lack of control, regarding the overall ambiguity beset by the plastics market.
You’re right, the heavy amount of mineral content adheres to the plastic membrane, present in our water supply.
What you have is a saturation of plastic particles that have saturated our overall biosphere, ( that’s the ocean, it’s very big ),
Ground water is susceptible, but thanks for the update.
You’re f**ked either way unless you can install a filtration system,
Keep buying those plastic bottles fu**nuts, we love you 🥰
What a freash breath of air you're... Thank you!!! 🩷
These videos always make me feel better about the world thank you ❤
OMG I LOVEEE THIS!!! THE WORLD IS IN NEED OF GOOD NEWS 💜💜
Me: "hmmmm, there must be some positive news in the world...."
And here you are! Cheers and thank you!

Thank you for your lovely videos and your upbeat take on the news -- we need this more and more!
That was a lovely refreshing watch. Thank you for being an upbeat voice!
this video got me relaxed, thank you soo much
Hope you have a relaxed weekend!
This is the only news I feel I need to watch. Thank you so much Sam for bringing this to the world! Love from Chicago 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🇺🇸
I love you we all love you Sam ❤
The beautiful mugs are so relatable.
Thanks for doing what your doing, if only the mainstream media would do the same, keep up the great work 👍
It’s important to acknowledge issues around the world but it feels so disproportionately bad whenever I turn on the news, it’s very disempowering for people to just consume negativity all day
Still very disappointing about the NRL getting blocked right before it was supposed to be signed.
Sometimes we have to fight our evolutionary brain like as you just did watching this video
If you are interested in more daily traps just watch the list of cognitive biases and spread some awareness of how our perception works.
The only thing I don't think is good news is the red wood trees, only because it is a part of North America and it kind of doesn't make me feel good or growing in the UK. Sorry.
My heart still breaks that the Appalachian's American Chestnut is pretty much almost extinct. They used to be as grand as the redwoods in Cali.
i wouldn't say so many non native trees like the red wood in England are a positive
Thank you for this. I am world-fatigued by all the horrors on social media now.
That last video!!!! My HEART
This is awesome, we should have more positive news! People are doing amazing and great things all the time
