By far my favorite movie of all time. I've recommended it to everyone who has been in my life. Not only did Tim knock it out of the park, but four years later, he did a gain with Shawshank Redemption.
I recently paid a lot of money for a metal painting of Jacob's Ladder's movie poster. Thirty years ago I had a framed Jacob's Ladder movie poster on the exact same wall.
What Mr Robbins says at around the 7minute mark of this video, kind of movies being more about profit, than the art of film. It was like that then, and even more so today. It’s too bad.

i like it its not as comercialized
This is one of those movies that didn't get nearly enough recognition, and Mr Robbins was brilliant in it.
Because it was frightening.
