Try adjusting focus at the front. Mine was doing same until I adjusted focus to sharper picture. Try it.

I think that little "button" isn't to attach that elastic strap to save having to zip the pouch - that's there to clip the pouch onto a few golf trolleys

The instructions say it has a 200 yard flag lock.

I'd argue it doesnt all the time. I've had it read 200yrds fine and some times it won't. I only use it within 150yrds

pretty sure the eye piece can be turned to adjust the zoom for various distances fyi...... the add on Temu says it has 6x magnification..........
