    Just to clear up the slope function, there are two versions of this range finder. The one in this video is not tournament legal, it is always in slope mode and you can't turn it off. There is also a red and white version, that one has a switch to turn it on and off inside the battery door and that one is tournament legal.

    I use BOTH GPS and Bushnell laser. The new Skycaddie SX500 has a feature in the "top down" hole-vue where if you zoom in enough, the distances to reach/carry hazards, end of fairway, etc., appear on the image of the hole, much like the look of a yardage book page.

    Had a Callaway 200, and a Nikon cool shot 20. Got a Gogogo Sport Laser for christmas from my mother-in-law who didn't know I already had 2 others. The Gogogo was only $70, the other 2 cost $200. The Gogogo matched the other 2 by 1 yard, and my buddies Bushnell by 1 yard. Glass was just as clear, and now I get slope readings too. I sold the 2 expensive ones, kept the Gogogo, and spent the extra cash on a new wedge.

    Splashed out on the top of the range Garmin that has the gps built in as well and have to say it's brilliant. To be able to see where on the green the pin is located from 150-200y out instead of just getting a distance number gives you the info on how to best play the shot to avoid sucker pins etc. Of course it still needs you to actually hit it, but for me it paints a clearer picture in my head. Also helps you when you cannot actually see the pin by giving you direction marker, excellent feature for us wayward hitters...

    My distance and reading eyesight are both poor but I can not were glasses on course as my iron shots are all fat due to ground looking closer. The differences pretty much are its easier to find the target on the Bushnel (locks on much quicker than mine), a bit easier to use in dull light (yellow rhetorical vs black) but other than that they are essentially the same performance wise. Much more useful than the GPS. BUT I still wear the GPS as its a great ‘guide’ device, if your on the fairway and can see all of the green the GPS is good enough for me as a 14 Hcp. If I’m inside 150 then I’ll laser as I know my SW to 8 distances are +/- 5 and where the flag is exactly will make a big difference between clubs. Go cheap, 4 for the price of 1 !

    @brianyoung3 4 года назад

    I've used a laser rangefinder for 3 years now. A couple of points. You need line of sight for the laser to work. Pins without reflectors on them are hit and miss whether you get a reading. Even if it locks on the target, you don't know if it's locked on the flag or the bushes behind the green so you have to use your judgement.
    Next point, the info you really need is front and back yardage and the yardage of the pin. With the laser you're guessing front and back particularly if the green is elevated. With the GPS you're not getting the yardage of the pin.
    Lasers tend to be more accurate +/- 1 yard vs +/- 3 yards.
    You can now buy a device that has both the laser and GPS but they're expensive. More so than if you buy a basic laser and basic GPS......pick your poison.
    They really help you to understand how far you really hit your clubs which will help your game a lot.

    Arccos!!! it is the bomb. everyone, leave the ego at the door and use Arccos. it will smash your handicap down, regardless of how good you are.

    Like you say,, the people who are serious about there sport are likely to buy the bushnell
    I got the slope switch version for Xmas and tbh I wish I had got one a lot sooner.. I also have a garmin watch but now find it redundant, there’s something about having an exact distance to the flag rather than a front middle back number.. takes out the guess work.. also bushnell advertise that 99.3 percent of the pga pros use there equipment👍🏻

    I’ve always wanted a range finder and I’m shopping for one now at a price I can justify.
    I’m reading the online manual for the Mileseey and it says to short press the “M” button to switch from golf slope to pin lock mode. So if following the rules of golf was the dealbreaker, +1 to Mileseey!

      You can generally find a Tasco for under $100. Bushnell is the parent company of Tasco.

    How about a review of the vice, oncore, cut golf balls to see if they are worth the savings over a pro v or similar ball.

    I’d like the see this video again with these 2 range finders and an app such as 18Birdies. I’m struggling with even seeing the need for a range finder because I have an app that tells me distances

    Every time you shot it they varied within 1-3 yards on both devices anyway so between the 2 value for money the cheap one is better. However the slope point was good.

    You make good points, but I still prefer the golf watch, a quick gance gets me as close as I need. I walk uo to my ball and hit it with confidence, no need to stand there sighting a yardage and then making my shot, speed matters to many people.

    I've got the GolfPad app on my phone. GPS available and I can tap to any spot on the hole to get a distance. Plus stats for club distances, driving accuracy etc. Much less than both of the lasers.

    If I were to buy one, I'd probably not spend more than £100.. nice to know the 'cheaper' options are accurate. Good vid. I just use an app (GPS) on my mobile, works great an I can track my scores and other info.... 🏌🏻‍♂️⛳👍🏻

    I’ve one of the first Bushnell’s made. Actually works more like the cheaper one you’re reviewing. Great review. Going to tech up to your Bushnell (which I purchased a few years ago as a gift for my brother’s 50th birthday) soon. Btw. I’m here in the states and your elocution is so cool!

    Mileseey's laser is accurate then?
    I need a new tape measure with laser (mine got lost) and Milesseey has a tape measure as well.
    Thank you.

    I can't see the point in these devices for the average golfer who probably doesn't hit each club the same distance on consecutive occasions. They are OK if you're a consistent ball striker, but as a mid handicapper how far I hit each shot depends on the time of day, the phase of the moon, what I had for breakfast etc. I'll carry on doing it by eye a I've always done.

    • @milesabove5259
      @milesabove5259 4 года назад

      Peter Molyneux I get that, but I use it to get more of an idea of how far each club goes.
      I feel I know better now which club will be too much if I really get a hold of it.
      Even at the range you can get a fairly close distance to a group of balls you’ve hit from one club.

    Great video. I'm new to golf so something like this would be perfect for me to check my yardage. I currently play off about 18 and a half million so I wouldn't want to spend much more that £80 on something to tell me how far away the water hazard is! Thanks mate 😊👊🏻

    Good vid. Thanks. As you say is the slight variation and the vibration when the Bushnell locks on worth £200? Don't thinking so. I am pleased that you continue to try and find different companies out there which try and make golf more affordable to the general Joe blogs. thanks

      @sconterboy Have you remembered how to turn it off? I have the Pf210 & our Club Championships are on over the next two weekends. Rules stipulate no slope adjustment can be used. I don't look at the slope number anyway, but both numbers are on the screen & I can't turn it off. Cheers!

    Bushnell Phantom does the job for me, attached to my trolley it's nice & discreet plus gives me all the measurement I need. I'm not at the level yet for a £400 v4, as I'd probably check the yardage looking like I know what I'm doing then proceed to fold a large sod over the ball from 100 yds to obvious hilarity from my mates! 😂
