@@trbrian pretty reliable, had mine since 40k miles, currently at 91k miles, 2011 bmw 550i (one of the most unreliable years) As long as you change your oil strictly every 3k miles you should be good but of course it comes with some parts going bad. only things i’ve had to replace was Vanoss solenoids, 4 o2 sensors, Fuel pump. and nothing more. Ps. i broke a sway bar link doing donuts on an uneven road. Do with this information what you wish

All you need is the sport oil cooler valve $120 and a 85 degree thermostat like $220. You can tell by the following… - black engine cover, not silver. - 2 DMEs which are the silver boxes right behind each head lamp - 443hp 480lbs of tq
Is that infotainment screen OEM cuz I don't remember the f10 having android auto as an option. If it's not pls lmk what it is cuz I'm trying to get one for my own f10 550
B58 is more reliable, has WAY more aftermarket support and it’s in lighter cars so it has the potential to be faster. If you get the N63, only get a 2014+ car that has the upgraded N63TU engine. I've done a fuel transmission fluid flush and filter change about 15k miles ago. I got a transmission oil kit from FCP Euro: www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-ga8hp45z-ga8hp70z-auto-trans-service-kit-liqui-moly-24118612901kt You will also need a fluid transfer pump. A handheld one is fine.

I bought my 650 with 84k miles and it’s at 103K miles rn with no issues but a blown speaker 😂 gotta get it fixed mine was taken care of and still came with 2 keys and an unwrapped manual

I’m in the same boat. Trying to decide between 540i or 550. Love the v8 but I know the 540 better gas miliage and more reliable but that v8………….
