I have cell the car at 76k km. The engine make Problems at 100-120k
@@drive-by15 the problem is road bearings, u replace them at 100k km with oil pump and timing chain and you are ready to go for the next 100k km, also don't fotget to change oil every 10k km with manufacturer specs or 8k km if u are driving more "agressive".
the 2011-2013 ones are super problematic
the ones with N63TU are less problematic
mine has now 235.000 without any problems (LCI model with N63TU), only chassis stuff had to be done, but thats ok for the mileage.
its important to change Oil regulary, best every 15.000 (not 30.000 like bmw says) and you are fine.
So I really want a 550i but I took one on a test drive yesterday and the motor blew on me mid drive. It’s a 14’ with a clean carfax 1 owner. The dealer offered to replace the motor. How’s your 550i holding up?
i have buy my car with 64000km and cell it at 78000km. i have no Problems in this time. Chance all 10k oil and the spark plug.

Habe mir vor kurzen ein BMW F10 550i Xdrive, aber den Motor mit 408PS, zugelegt... Leider hat dieser von Werk aus, keinen Sound. Habe gelesen du hast einen ESD und Downpipe verbaut. Welche Firma hast du bevorzugt und gab es Probleme mit TÜV? Was hast du noch gemacht, was kannst du empfehlen? Möchte gerne etwas V8 Klang haben, kannst du ja sicher verstehen 🤣
Die Frage stelle ich mir auch. Meiner hat Eisenmann ESD verbaut und hört sich dezent nach V8 an. Etwas mehr wäre durchaus wünschenswert
@@objektiv2012 ich stöbere bereits die ganze Zeit durch die Welt des Internets... Entweder nicht im im Bereich der StVO erlaubt, oder zu teuer (man will ja nicht die Katze im Sack kaufen), oder man findet leider nix 🤷♂️

Ich habe zuletzt catless downpipe, msd und esd bearbeitet gehabt. Tüv hast du damit nicht. Konnte es aber dank Serien klappe leise fahren fast wie serien Anlage.
Lass den esd bearbeiten wennndu nur etwas sound haben möchtest. Legale Anlagen hab ich keine gefunden gehabt und wenn ja viel zu teuer :D

Das mit dem ESD bearbeiten habe ich des öfteren schon gelesen, kann es mit mir nicht vorstellen, das dadurch so ein krasser Klang entstehen soll! 🤣

Hast du den optimiert oder warum 530ps? Stock Auspuff etc oder ist was gemacht? Hört sich zu gut für Standard an :D
Hallo Julien, der 550i hat eine stage 1 drauf. Serie ist bei dem auspuff absolute stille 🤣 habe es bearbeiten lassen durch die serienmäßige Klappe kann man ihn auch sehr leise fahren :)

Thank. I have a downpipe, muffler and resenator delete. A software stage 1 with 530HP and 812nm of torque. I'm thinking about doing a stage 2 on 580hp

@@BT-dx9fn iam not sure i have not look for Informatio for stage 3. Upgrade turbos can make up to 720hp but i think the Stock engine can not do it for a long time.

@@X32-n8b If you can find a 550i that has been refurbished and has a track record of service, plus a warranty, then buy it. In the end, it's no good if you buy a vfl and spend exactly the same through repairs as you would buy a facelift. The m550d exactly the same game. Really look who you are buying it from. Service is very important. But in principle every engine has its problem, whether it's the vfl or the facelift at the end you can't say 100% exactly, otherwise you shouldn't buy a car anymore because of the fear 🤣😅 i wish you find a good car
