- I hiked 14er Mt Lindsey via its Northwest Ridge and then added on 13er/centennial Huerfano Peak for a great hike. I hiked this in late September and it was about 10.5 miles with 4,400ft of elevation gain.

You are upping your editing game. I love the drone montage in the middle while you hiked. It adds a lot to your videos.
Always love flying when I can - really love the perspective it adds.
My favorite part!
@@TheVirtualSherpa just turned 18 and looking to do my first class 4 route with my dad. Which one would you Recommend for someone’s first class 4?
This one might be your best video yet, the drone shots are incredible, great job!!!
Love these videos. Amazing drone footage as well.
Thanks Ryan, appreciate it.
Loved Lindsey ... did the standard gully route years ago ... with some careful route finding it was easy and not to loose.
Also, bunch of folks without helmets. Yikes.
Recently went up the ridge and down the gully. Going down the gully was a huge mistake and very sketchy. Unless there’s snow, don’t do it! It felt far more dangerous compared to the ridge and a fall would have resulted in a rag doll situation down the gully.
Great hike my man! Mt. Lindsey is one of my favorite 14ers from the valley views, the remoteness, the stepped elevation approach and the technical thrill seeking aspects.
That filming on the crux was really awesome! Also makes me want to do it haha
First 14er I was introduced to in October of 1998
I wish I could do this today. But sadly I can’t anymore
Great video! I always enjoy when you post a video of a route I've done before. I approached Huerfano from the north and made a loop out of it. I also thought the tower on Lindsey before the crux wall in mid May was terrifying with snow surrounding it. You made it look so easy!
Did that ridge back in 2011. I stayed further right and would call it class 4 with serious exposure on both sides with bomb proof microwave size boulder steps. I wish I would've put in the extra effort for Huerfano then, but your video may bump that one up the list for me now. Thanks for sharing. It was nice to see that ridge again.
dude is that cave right off the trail? i’m about so hike it that is SICK
So my son and I are headed out there in august. Going to Lilly Lake for some dispersed camping. Can you access any of the peaks from the lake? Also any suggestions on the route in from Gardner, or pretty much anything else you want to pass along would be awesome. Great video!
The summit is closed for public access due to the land owners. You can tackle California or Huerfano (I believe is still open) - from here though.
after starting to get into scrambles myself this kind of info is informative. The edits also give you that out there, so insignificant, totally exposed feel. well done man.
You are killing it with your video work! I love the drone footage and man did you piece these cuts together nicely.
Killer camera shots along the ridge!!
Have you done a gear/equipment video? Planning on my first 14er next year and would love to see your set up.
Sure have! ruclips.net/video/nopLFc5oAE0/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/AdiUeK8S4mo/видео.html
The Virtual sherpa Thank you!
You the man, Thanks for all these great videos!
Ive been wanting to do Mt Lindsey for awhile, thanks for doing it!
The road to get there even with an SUV is more difficult than the hike IMO 😂
Def was very rough this last fall - gone downhill in recent years
Outstanding footage! I agree, you are definitely killing it with the drone / editing! Even with the difficulties. Can't wait to do this one!
Thanks Luke, appreciate it.
Nice shots.
Awesome drone shots man, what drone are you using? I had planned to go around the same time last year. Hopefully I'll make it this year.
Duuuude those drone shots on the ridge!!! EXCELLENT!!!
Cool drone footage. I did Linsey in August , it was fun but not as hard as I was thinking it would be
Good job. Excellent drone footage. Thanks!
So you took the right side of the wall? That’s considered class 4 isn’t it? I believe you downclimbed the left. That’s where I went up and down.
Splitting hairs I think - but yeah, it felt like higher 3 in that section vs the descent for sure. Probably down to who you ask, but the whole route is listed as "3" regardless of where you go up.
The drone shots are everything. So awesome. Is there any way to ensure notification of your videos? I have notification bell on for “all.”
I still don’t get them.
So weird - nah, sorry I don't know of anything else besides that "bell" that would notify you every time I post.
Such a fun hike! I did go to the end of that cave... oops
What is your total pack weight with drone ,helmet ,cameras, water etc?
Tbh - not sure never weighed it all.
Great channel love all the vids man
great video as always
Awesome video man
What time of year was this? Is there a good window to do it in?
I hiked this in Mid-September which is a pretty ideal time to do it. The snow usually melts around early July but my favorite time of year is the fall when Thunderstorm danger has gone away for the season.
@@TheVirtualSherpa thanks. I wish my videos were this solid, nice job
