Not-so-secretly, Thomas has always wanted to run a Dada cabaret in 1920 (not that there's anything wrong with that)... Pale Boys add real depth, though me I'm always glad his life was "saved" by rock'n'roll :)
By my green candle your right. Confederacy of Dunces is relevant but more in the spirit of Alfred Jarry with a Captain Beefheart sense for the absurd. I saw him with Pere Ubu circa Modern Dance. Recently saw kindred spirits The Residents. .
David Thomas is an absolutely underrated artist!!!!!!
I saw DT and 2 PBs do this in a tiny club in London in the 1990s and it was amazing. Checkout the Meadville CD. A classic.
Timeless magic performance
Genius David Thomas, the same as in Rocket From the Tumbs and Pere Ubu. Thanks!
damn i love this
Too good to be true!
Considering there's only two instruments and a vocalist playing all live, this is pure genius just instrumentation wise, the songs are also good.
@ MTV FTW !!!!
The Clarences love & support David Thomas & Two Pale Boys!
on the edges, they can still sell ad space, hope we remember to forget
Genial......
They performed great new interpretations of Kathleen and Life of riley.
this is so fucking brilliant!!!!!!

Génial père ubu
Also , is there a track list for this ?
like if Ignatius Reilly played in a Smoke cover band, and I mean that as a compliment.
