- Set in London's Chelsea of the early 1970's, supposedly for teen thrills, Johnny Alucard organises a black magic ceremony in a desolate churchyard. The culmination of the ritual, however, is the rejuvenation of Count Dracula from shrivelled remains. Alucard, Dracula' s disciple, lures victims to the deserted graveyard for his master's pleasure and one of the victims delivered is Jessica Van Helsing. Descended from the Van Helsing line of vampire hunters her grandfather, equipped with all the devices to snare and destroy the Count, confronts his arch enemy in the age-old battle between good and evil.

Fangtastic !! - Excellent film - Brilliant sound track - Brings back classic days of the 70's and completes with The Count and Johnny - Van Helsing Rocks !! - Happy Days !!
I know this movie gets alot of hate, but I like it.Lee and Cushing are great of course, the rest of the cast does good work(even if the 'young hippy's' seem a little older).Very well-made,well-shot,but as usual I wish Dracula had a bigger part.I like the ending of this trailer where Dracula says "I came to destroy...You!"
Dracula AD 72 is better than Transformers movie collection, right, my friends?
Mute this and play "Johnny Nash - I Can See Clearly Now" at the same time (same length) for a new experience.
Christopher and Peter was awesome a wonderful performance from them is wonderful.
Johnny Alucard needs his own movie.
I love this film. I can not understand why it gets so much hate while "The Satanic Rites Of Dracula" receives lots of praise. "Ad 72" has the look and feel of CLASSIC Hammer, while "Satanic Rites" doesn't even remotely resemble a Hammer film.
I wouldn't call AD 1972 Classic Hammer but it is fun. Satanic Rites is God awful.
My all time fave dracula film :)
Omg thank you I watch this on vhs
Great, cheesy horror. Highly recommend to those who love B flix.
STONEGROUND was such a great band
Yes, that is correct.
That Johnny is a bad ass.
Meu sonho de consumo, ter todos os filmes da Hammer.
When the movie switched to 1972, I cringed. I then proceeded to watch the rest and I was pleasantly surprised. I think this film is actually a good cult classic and I enjoyed Ronald Neame as Johnny Alucard.
Camp classic !..Some of the, would be hip, dialogue has to be heard to be believed !
No..The hunk you're thinking of is Jon Finch..
1:11 is he that evil captain in Star Wars?
Grand Moff Tarkin, yes.
Also Dracula here was Count Dooku from Star Wars too...
Padre Pio pray for me that i dont watch silly "dracula" movies but read in his word what he is up for" the burning lake of fire' for him and all his follewrs.Pray Father i never have " to swim" to get to Heaven!
Can i have first bite
I thought Joanna Lumley played the character of Jessica Van Helsing much better in The Satanic Rites of Dracula.
Lumley considered inferior to the original.
He always got the hottest girls
So, how is this film one of the favorites to Tim Burton?
I love Tim Burton movie such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Batman, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow and even Mars Attack!
William Chico Don't forget Batman, Batman Returns and Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street my friend
He likes it!
@@michaelridenour2113 Actually, that was an answer within a question.
@@douglassnyder9206 That's just so clever!
Stupid noises 2:25 😣😣😣😣😣
This one was the worst of the Hammer lot. Just a piss poor rendition and not much screentime for Lee.I think Lee himself said it was the end of Hammer after this picture.
No they made a sequel to this.
