Man the hoops you have to go through to avoid mentioning that every single lawyer on the US is all corrupt.. you basically just argued that the Trump prosecution is stalling because the judge has to think about his political image! Come on!

it is the truth what you say. law in the us is a joke. I just got told that a liscenced professional obliged to pay for permits does not have to apply for a permit so effectivly there is no permit process in Oregon.
What is in it for me" the whole system is corrupt because elected officials don't want to stick thier heads oiut

I love how the guest is like "Yea well sure trump may have broken the law but this D.A might look bad if he fails Soo 🤷"America is so trash. It's clear the guy IS scared of prosecuting Trump. So weird that he is so invested in providing cover.

*More Mehdi Hasan, please* -- including on MSNBC cable. Sundays are not enough. He's among the best -- if not the best -- news host/journalist on NBC (MSNBC, Peacock, NBC) and on mainstream media, generally. He asks truly challenging questions, questions that others don't ask, but ought to be asking. Far more truthful, more integrity than other mainstream journalists. He is one of the very few with real _chutzpah._

You are the best journalist interviewer on current mainstream TV and I've followed you since your Al Jazeera days.
Would love to ask a troubling query I had (as you're so direct to everyone) about the race issues that rightfully comes up often but I don't think are equally applied in this segment (and I'm talking about the powerful here - not race in general). When Alvin Bragg shows up and resignations suggest he isn't going to prosecute - and Charles Coleman is defending this - then why go after Merritt Garland? It seems to me that powerful African American prosecuters are getting a pass from (African American) Coleman and also Mehdi Hassan?? Why?
If high level (African American) prosecuters won't prosecute because it looks bad if they lose then why are they there in the first place? Isn't this the perennial process with corrupt of complacent (or opportunist) white prosecutors? I was dissapointed when you (Mehdi Hassan) didn't pursue this point in Charles Coleman's breathless defense of Bragg.
Not being willing to prosecute for whatever reason from the highest levels is corruption plain and simple and is colorblind. And 'maybe they can't prove it' whitewashes everything.

Where is AG Merrick Garland's head? It's an embarrassment that he is not up on the law and that drumpf is not imprisoned.
