I feel like Mehdi is just the left version of Tucker Carlson, that Tucker is wrong doesn't make it okay for Mehdi to be extreme.
What Mehdi seems to get wrong is that it's not just about "a few good men" doing the right thing. That is the mentality that allow people to do lynching. Having a lawful and civilized country means you actually need to respect the current rules, you can't simply make one set of rules for people you don't like. That Medhi refuses to see is that the laws don't actually allow US to lynch assholes and the US laws is just so weak that most of what Trump and Jeff Besos does is morally wrong, but not legally.
I just don't see the difference between what Mehdi does and what Trump did with the add that called for locking up four innocent people, since Trump hasn't been convicted he is innocent according to most civilized countries.

Mehdi I LOVE you BUT if you just played that Warsaw Biden speech for a few more sentences Biden actually DID say we all need to get off of fossil fuels asap and switch to renewables so that no one would be dependent on any despotic government anymore. It was by far my favorite part of the speech.

As of now, total clean energy sources account for only 38% share of electricity worldwide while only 10% for north america, and only 2.5% of total car sales were electric vehicles world wide and only 0.2% in america, so the reality of over night resources and engineering and implementation of clean energy is such utopian short term solution and won't address current costs of living and energy sources. Even the leap from five years ago to now is massive overhaul and new beginnings that still took five years and upfront massive projects. The green plan is good for long term solution, but in the meantime we need to make these things cheaper for average consumers since they cant afford tesla's and retrofit their homes even with any govt subsidies or long-term plans that lower the prices. These things are targeted towards wealthy people and homeowners, not lower income people and renters. We need to force oil companies to pay their share and/or fairer pricing in line with profits gained/losses/new operations, force wealthiest companies and individuals to mandatorily change their energy sources since they can afford to do so, opt out of global oil pricing, set our own pricing in the west and its closer allies, and end all oil imports and exports to non-western non-ally countries, and supply west with needed gas as we transition over the next 10 years to exponential changes in cleaner energies and cheaper access to masses. We should arrange projects we all pitch in to develop, such as new oil and gas in far north and re-aligning business with grey-area countries that are less threatening bad actors to the west like venezuala/kazahkstan/far north/island nations/african nations and other partners to get different sources of gas while simultaneously guarenteeing some forms of securities and trade in exchanges to open up their societies more too and to transition to alternative clean energies. Until then this notion is simply rhetoric and refuses to acknowledge the hard current realities.
Tyipically, I like Sen. Markey, but, in this episode, all he did was dance around Medhi's questions, particularly when comes to Mansion's movtives.
Sen Markey is awesome. I think he had to just spew hot air this time to avoid offending Manchin while trying to get some kind of deal w/him. It's really a bad situation.

Because unfortunately we use fossil fuel to mine, manufacture and create electric cars and I CAN GUARANTEE that NOBODY has set-up ANY kind of system to be able to recycle ALL materials used.
