For my version of Ramazan kanji I use white raw rice, uluhaal, corn, garlic, gammiris eta, rampe karapincha,enasal karabuneti,chicken, cinnamon and coconut milk. This was taught by one of my muslim friend. Not only in Ramazan I make this usually cause my husband and kids love the taste.
This is the Indian style kanjee.. Sri Lankans don’t use Mung dhal,, we make it with raw rice and broken wheat grains.. the soup needs a little extra coconut milk.. it looks a little thicker than the usual.. anyways looks yum as all your recipes . ❤️

If we are not hesitant to try out food from other cultures while traveling, why would we be unwilling to try a dish from our country's minority muslims? I am sure not everyone will agree with me due to past incidents that took place in Sri Lanka. However, food does not have racism tied within itself.

Hi anoma mam! I'm a huge fan of u & ur recipe. This kanji looks so yum. But generally we make kanji with white raw rice and no moungdhal. And we add some termeric powder and more thickened milk. Hi dear Anoma it’s good for teaching food during the time most ppl need it. We all like to taste different food n respect their food. This kanji good even for us specially when we get sick to have it. I usually do that way. I m currently staying in Saudi n different ppl makes it different way. One of our Sri Lankan Muslim used uluhal, sera, corn, chicken , carrots etc. When I read your comments it’s really nice to see everybody is respecting each other n share their way of making n even in that comments all can learn. You too very humble with it. We should not pass hints or let down others. Your comment section is very peaceful n appreciate your balance mind more than anything....
Also I made your butter scotch pudding recently n came out very well. Also I made your coffee soufflé too. In utube your butter scotch is outstanding for me. I don’t like it making it like we make caramel style n adding corn. Even in western recipes it’s same n your one is my best. But I had a small problem with your huge quantities as I made it with a small condensed milk for the family. So I went through with coffee soufflé recipe n adjust it. If you can plz give ingredients for the small tin in that butter scotch pudding n highly appreciate it. Thanks a lot
