The Cure are total professionals. The best concert (and the longest) I've ever been to since concert going back to 78. The addition of Porl was and EXCELLENT choice for the band.
@oktekk23 The Cure - One Hundred Years (Studio Davout, Paris 1982) here you can see and hear drum machine. The point is that The Cure still IS a LIVE BAND. They use, now, some tapes in a few songs that can't sound well without it. Maybe because Porl or Robert don't want to play it live (you can see Cold from the same concert). I agree with you that the last tour don't soun like even "Festival", but not to say that The Cure is no live band... Erasure, Pet Shop Boys are playback bands!!!
This has nothing to do with Jason. It has to be with Robert Smith. Saw 'The Cure' Live back in 2004, and they're a great live band, excellent performances all the concert. The problem is the new stuff. It just don't move me anymore like they did in the past. Still got my Cure Collection, some vinyls were sold in the middle of this decade, I keep buying the remastered cds, but I'm no longer excited to get new songs from them. Good Luck, cureheads
@OISSELAtube Sorry, I miss the keys. Whether they were an original component of the bands sound or not, they quickly became an integral one. It just doesn't sound right without them in my opinion. More than the drums, that was the glaring problem to my ears.
@aclopezestrada There's more passion and strenght at the first 45 seconds of the 'Open' intro, than the entire 4 : 13 album, my friend. You gotta deal with it.
no necesitan teclados en algunas canciones, pero en esa formación con Rogert hubiera sido genial la banda y creo que aún estarían juntos en 2014 y quizás con muchos nuevos éxitos, pero el ego traicionero mata todo lo bueno
I'm sick of reading posts against Cooper. Get over it. Is not his 'technique' or his skills as a drummer. You're comparing the best albums of The Cure (with Boris), to the Non-relevant music that Robert Smith has written since 1996. Nobody cares if The Cure releases new albums anymore. Last Great Album was 'Wish'1992. Hard to say this because I still love their early work: there's not a single song since Wild Mood Swings that has the label of 'classic' or even 'remarkable'.

THE CURE NEEDS A REAL DRUMMER
Awesome... but I still miss keyboards

simon never gets old?

@Florcitax he's so fucking handsome!!!
at the beginning of the song, it looks like his eyes were looking in different directions. haha
@OISSELAtube
ESTOY DE ACUERDO CONTIGO, COOPER ES NEFASTO COMO BATERISTA, DE QUE SIRVE SU BATERIA SI TODO EL TIEMPO ABUSA D CINTAS PREGRABADAS.
the cure werden nie nach Mecixo kommen, sorry @sxinternet
Urge un teclado!!
that handclap sound gets annoying..is that the crowd or an effect on the drums?
never))))
@colico14 NOT REALLY, THE CURE STARTS WITHOUT KEYBOARDS....THIS IS THEIR ORIGINAL SOUND.
WHAT IS TERRIBLE IS THE DRUMMER.

Endsong!!!
The Cure ain't the Cure without keyboards! This is terrible.
jason go away and leave your position to a real drummer!
