- Entering service in the Russian Air Force from February 2014, the Su-35 was the fourth major Russian derivative of the Su-27 Flanker design and represented the first of a new generation of combat jets commonly dubbed the ‘4++ generation.’ Much as the Su-27 was designed purely for an air superiority role, a counter to the United States Air Force’s F-15C Eagle and gain control of the skies over the European theatre, the Su-35 and its predecessors the Su-30 and Su-33 all inherited highly sophisticated air to air combat capabilities.Until the entry of the American F-22 Raptor into service in 2005, these were unrivalled by any fighters worldwide.

As a kid I used to just love F-14, F-15 and F-16 designs, I used to draw pencil art on these aircrafts, then I grew up a little and was blown away by what amazing looking aircraft Sukhoi were.

It is inferior to F35 because its RCS is massive. If you can't see you can't kill. Even typhoon has a RCS 1/3 so it's not a 4++ fighter.

There's isn't anything like the su35. It's exceeds every other aircraft ever built. It's actually very simple in It's designs. And very stable in most conditions on earth. I fly this plane in my sleep. Along with the su57/34/33

The Su range of Russian fighter jets are the most beautiful fighter jets ever made. The manoeuvrability of these planes is on another level.
Some American really enjoy to brag about Raptor whereas any fighter jet will lose its technological edge after a period of time due to the high tempo of technology advances. Raptor now can be challenged by SU57, SU35 and even French Rafale and it goes down to the pilots to determine the winner in an aerial combat.

But newer designs lose its technological edge later than older designs. Wake up and think. And the edge of the Raptor is BVR. It is probably a good advice to try to avoid a dogfight with a SU-35 but until then the Raptor has the edge.

Electronics? Lithography using inert gases was developed by Soviet scientists in the 90s. US Patented. Until 2022, we could not produce while recognizing Western patents on our technologies.

In general, the Raptor was not originally a super plane. it is very expensive to operate and produce. he does not participate in military clashes so that the legend of his superiority is not lost. and we all know that it was not produced for long, and was discontinued a long time ago.
@@igorvasin6960 If you consider how long others try to catch up to a "decade old design" it probably was a super plane. In some aspects it still is and probably one of the deadliest opponent in (BVR) air combat. Limited production run was due to the lack of need for this aircraft since the main enemy disappeared, high costs could only be tolerated if it had a purpose.

(double the range of any western fighter at the time). that holds the highest altitude record set of any fighter. 128,000 feet (Unbeaten to this day). this is what scared the Americans. hence why they had to steal it in the movie. and in real life. they stole it to japan and drilled holes in it and tested the materials. the cockpits of f35 fighter canopies today are based off stolen designs from the mig25. Russians arent just good at engineering. they're geniuses. The Americans bang on about a dozen ill conceived mach3 planes like the SR71.. built out of stolen russian titanium and thinking that was revolutionary. when the Russians built the same kind of technology out of stainless steel machine welded like nowhere else in the world. and they built over 1500 of these active aircraft. the aircraft today lives on through its younger brother the Mig31K which now sends hypersonic missiles to the doorstep of kiev on a daily basis. that are virtually untouchable. Also when the mig25 started defending the borders of USSR soviet territory. the incursions from SR71 program ended. it never again flew over soviet territory unless it was germany. Modern fighter planes do not dog fight in the traditional sense rather their job is to take out the other fighters by other means. First site, first lock, first shot… The opponent is now a fireball, second place in air dominance usually means your dead,….. Therefore, modern fighter jets are plane killers that use more sophisticated radars, computers and missiles to do the job more efficiently ……anyway,…..keep on rockin…….

This is one (valid) side of the story. Truth is the concept works only as good as all of its components, and stealth feature, although being ultimate advantage over the battlefield, does not work as magic, and there are many factors involved. It is not "invisibility" - it is just much less detectable by conventional means, yet not undetectable, so even a stealth plane can be seen by various types of detection plus there are also outer factors which limit its "invisibility"- such as heavy rain, or high surface temperature of the craft - all of this leaves "marks" to be detected by countermeasures. To rely on "stealth" capability exclusively is not wise. Even the most complex of the systems can and will be cracked by simple countermeasures or combination of these. Once all of BVR scenario is gone, cards may turn quickly. As much as great and advanced F22 stealth design is, it is not undetectable, nor invincible.

The Americans have about 50 jets for everyone the Russians put up. An 27 EU country's NATO forces do what the Americans say. An they have considerable airforces.
Russians have one poor quality aircraft carrier. The Americans have 14 including Nimitz class.
This aircraft is pretty impressive. But in an all out war situation. The Russians are beat. Of that I have no doubt. Only reason it's not happened is the threat of a scorched earth nukeclear strike.
The SU is a formidable plane for sure. An a very attractive design. I'm sure American aviators respect it very much.

Am very sure they can't even fly when it rains because there might be a tremor in the force copying starwars. I think only the Russian SU 57 has seen real combat in the air over Ukraine, all the rest have been attacking none existing defense

the flanker is a beutiful air craft but not really a match for gripen or the later gen American fighters and the ukrainians dont really have an modern air fleet to be honest, that is going to change when the f16´s get in there tough

The latest news are that Iran will not order the SU-35 after all! The reason for that is that they have experienced Russia as an unreliable donor of technical support for their planes. Earlier experince was no technical manuals, no education system for technicians because the russians wanted to service the planes themselves in Iran. So, according to news the Iranians decided they would not like to experience the bad technical russian support again and dropped the SU-35 order. Possibly they will develop their own modern planes themselves then! Maybe in cooperation with other sanctioned countries.

Have you not heard what the Russian aerospace forces have said about the F16? They're sick of waiting for them to arrive. They can't wait they want to face them because they know the F16 can't come close the SU35. You should do a little research. You'll soon find for a start Russia had by far & away the world's best air defence systems. Then air to air missile tech. Russia has the longest ranged air to air missiles. The SU 35 has thrust vectoring, meaning if it comes to a dogfight against an F16 there's no competition. I've just gave you 3 massive points of why & how the Russian forces are looking forward to humiliate F-16's. I could give you another 5 easily.

In an encounter with American stealth fighters like F22 and F35 SU35 doesn't stand a ghost of a chance of surviving. It will be a turkey shoot. SU57 may not fare much better. Its RCS is hundreds of times greater than F35 and thousands of times greater than F22. The US studied supermaneuverability decades ago and concluded that in combat it was of little or no value. Instead the US was focused on stealth. The aerial acrobatics the Russian thrust vectoring planes entertain us with at air shows are maneuvers that would spell instant death in combat. So the Russian planes against American stealth are parade day soldiers. Russian avionics are decades behind the US which continues to advance rapidly obsoleting everything that went before. SU57 was intended to compete against F22. It would be a good plane if it weren't for much better American planes. If the SU57 ever is manufactured in meaningful numbers the F22 will be in retirement replaced by far more advanced planes that have been in development for a long time already.

Как только открывается люк ф22 - он не невидимка. Как только портится покрытие обшивки (а это даже потертость что является частой проблемой у ф22 и ф35) - он так же перестает быть невидимкой. Ну и главное - для наших радаров ваши самолеты прекрасно видны;) не забывайте - ф117 был сбит советской допотопной пво 60х годов, хоя это был очень современный стелс
