Lovely collection, nice to see locos hauling trains still in this day and age. Question is, why though? Do Northern sometimes employ DRS to fill in a service if no other train is available?
I wonder if it's because of sleeper services? Are there DMU/EMU sets with sleeper berths. I haven't been back to the UK since 1991 so a lot has changed from my days spent travelling by rail and train spotting.
@@DRS-ib7oo I know, but the set looks less distinctly LHCS, more in line with what an EMU would look like. I take your point, similar case with HSTs too, but 90 +mk4 feels more like everything else in this video.
I think the 16cyl engines in class 68s are the best sounding of all the new breed of locomotives. Great video.

I've never seen a Mk.3 (in service) without anything on the rear end. Can you see through the windows in the door like you can on Polish trains?

37402 is on the valley line in south wales roaring past my house
there's a 4th loco now...? thought it was just 37418/37421/37025
I think their should be class 91 & DVT sets on this because they are both technically locos
DRS 37401 90 and DVTs maybe more appropriate
But they are still technically locos the 91 can run by itself not just with the DVT
