Thank you for this video! I am a Chevrolet technician with close to 15 years experience. I have access to Gm service information or SI, and I could make No sense of how to get this seat out! Thank you, saved me a lot of dents in my box from throwing tools at it!
Thanks! Every other video that I’ve watched talked about tripping the seat clips, but didn’t show them nor their location. Also, nice tip on the headrest stud removal.
Big f’n thumbs up. I was struggling for my seat lift. every video I watched prior just went straight to the ‘lift’ the seat out. Thanks Tim for the important tip for us!
Thanks for the video. I am trying to look behind the rear seat to see where to run coax cable into the rear cab for radio transceivers. I have heard there are vents in the back that can be used to run the cables through. So far with my GMC Sierra SLT 1500 2021 model, it is not clear crawling under the cab where I will route them. This video helps to show how to remove the rear seat. In the end, my radios will be mounted under the rear seat with remote displays mounted near the console for driver access. Thanks for your video, you helped me to understand what I need to do to go fishing for cable entrance spots. All the best!
Thank you. I just had hell removing the bottom portion of the seat before watching your video. Now I know it wasn't necessary, and I could kick myself because I hate doing work that's nothing but a waste of time.
Did you have any issues putting the seat back in? I put seat covers on and now having difficulties getting the seat back on. Seems like the headrest sleeves aren’t lining up. And it’s not clicking back into the three clips on the back wall.
not to knock what you are doing here, but the tabs can be very easily pucshed with a flat head from the outside between top of seat and bottom ofinsert, just push down on top of seat and the tab is right there to just lighlty puah in.
@@ChrisHyde yeah I cut out a small section of mdf and lined up holes with the existing mounting bolts. Mounted the amp to the mdf and secured the whole thing with 10mm nuts

The dents in your box comment made me chuckle!
Thank you a freaking ton man! Putting seat covers on the backseat and this is exactly what I needed. I feel like I owe you a $20!
that's exactly why ii'm here...rough country?
@@AcapellaNutella6 No I actually got a set off of Amazon. They were pricey but I love them and have gotten a lot of compliments.
Dropped a screw behind the seat...so had to disassemble the rear end of the truck! 😂 This helped a ton!
Cool...II'll go back outsiide and try it. II am installinig seat covers from rough country.
Thank you I spent over an hour trying to figure this out and watched this video and did it in 10 minutes. Thank Sir!!

Those zip ties are genius, was thinking about doing something so that down the road, make life easier

Simple enough! Took me 8:27 seconds first try after watching your video!! Thanks man!!
Thank you.

Best video on removing the rear seats. And the zip tie thing is genius. Thank you
How was the seat removed then
Thank you! I absolutely have the driver side spring loaded clip rattling.
I love the zip tip. Thanks for the video.
Thx it was really easy to lift the hooks with a small paint roller handle
Well done, Tim. Very useful video.
This helped me big time because I couldn’t figure it out 😅 thank you 🙏🏾
Good tip. I am still struggling to find that slot but your demo lets me know how the mechanism works. Better than forcing the retainer up.
Thanks man I needed this, I appreciate you making the effort to make this video
THANK YOU! I would have never figured out the hooks on my own.
Great video!!
Thank you, very helpful. Doing this right now and got stuck on the headrest. I had no idea.
You forgot about the 4 10mm screws that some models may have but other then that great video
Excellent video!
Thank you, you were straight to the point.
Great video, love the extra tips, thanks
Haha! Might want to edit the rails on the table out
How do you get the headtest sleeves back in? I didn't pay attention how they came out as far as which part was facing forward or back.

Hey man, you got the video of you install that amp in there? Looks pretty nice. Would be nice to see that as well. Great video.
I’d love to have seen how you mounted amp

Couldn’t you remove those clips and use the head rests to keep the seat in place?
Nice, thanks man.
Be careful; the 2019 SIlverado has two distinct models; the 1500 does not have the same body/interior as the HD2500/3500.
Headrests how did you remove center one others have push button center does not any ideas great vid
Hey Wayne - All 3 of my headrests had the same push button on the retaining sleeves and the same removal method from the seat cushion
very good
Hey man! Thanks for the video! Is there some sort of foam liner between the back seat and the rear cab?
Thank’s Sr
The air vents in the back seat on my truck are loose and everytime I close the doors they flap it’s annoying
Thanks a lot
Brooo F those headrest clips!! Other than that thank you!!
What size nuts did you use to mount your amp to the back?
I don't recall exactly, but I believe they're probably 10mm
@@twaterstaw Did you mount it to an MDF board and then screw it on with bolts?
@@ChrisHyde yeah I cut out a small section of mdf and lined up holes with the existing mounting bolts. Mounted the amp to the mdf and secured the whole thing with 10mm nuts
This is not for 2019. It’s for 2020+
