    I just love these little lens reviews. So glad that manufacturers are still producing compact high quality manual lenses.

    Fotodiox makes an adapter for Sony and Fujifilm (Pronto) which makes this lens an autofocus lens. I have the Fujifilm version, which I can say works very well.

    Combined with the brand new Lumix and getting such classic look, wow! Very interesting lens indeed.

    The best tiny 35 for m Mount is the 2.8 Zeiss. The color Skopar 2.5 is also nice. The older 1.7 ultron is better than this f2 version IMO.

    Thanks for another great vid! Don't have a 35mm prime so will consider this or the 1.7. Although I mainly do landscapes. When looking at the 21mm 3.5 please compare it to the 1.8, which I own and love!

    Thanks for sharing. You spoke about your favorite M lens line-up of Voigtlaender lenses and I was wondering how the 58mm 1.4 Nocton (Nikon mount) would stack up against those and whether it is still a favorite of yours ?

    Agree about the 35 Leica Cron. I like it for landscape but it's a bit boring. Just can't bring my self to sell it yet. I may get the 35 1.2 Nokton.

    It would be cool to revisit the Leica 40mm f/2 lens that was for the CL but adapted to the S1. It kind of reminds me of this lens from the samples of the Ultron.

    M-lenses don’t work well on A7-series. Wide or normal gives weird colors and bad sharpness in the corners. With S1 or SL it’s no problem. Love to use them on S1R. I mainly use Nokton 50/1,2 and Ultron 35/1,7. I love those lenses.

      PhotoViking they are not perfection, but I love them on my sony, who cares corners at least you do landscape?. The ultron and it sibling nokton 50 , the 40 1.2 VM are tack sharp and they have a color rendering other sony lenses do not have. I did put them side by side with the zeiss 55 and the zeiss ended on ebay to fund other voigtlanders. Next to come is the heliar 50 3.5 👍

      Sonnar for character, lovely colour, 3-D pop and small size. VM for smoother bokeh. I have Sonnar.

    If you review the new 21 mm f3.5 VM , could you please mount it in your a7-9? I would like to know if it can be used on my a7iii, previous version has tons of problem and was not recommended by all youtubers who use it on their sony camera . Many thanks

    Does it have barrel distortion ?

    • @bernhardneumuellerphotography
      @bernhardneumuellerphotography 3 года назад

      distortion is only an issue when you get close to your subject, it is not lense specific you just cant get that close with a tele lense. (distance to you subject) it's just your viewing angle. So yes if you fill the frame with a face on a 35mm you will have distortion.

    • @Isaac0516

      It actually has less distortion compared to leica 35 asph. There’s a comparison forum with sample images.
