    According to SNK, Yuri is a genius. She can imitate any moves she sees and adds her own twist to it. She even quickly learned and mastered their family fighting style just by watching her father and brother who trained years for it which makes them both hesitant to allow Yuri to join fighting competitions as they thought she will only make their fighting style look mediocre and pathetic to those watching. Well she proved them wrong.

    • @ShoryuGame

      But what about Akuma? When and where did she see him? XD

    • @YkebazFiles
      @YkebazFiles Год назад +11

      Well she may have, who knows. Considering her personality, she actually likes to run away from home and roam a lot. This is specially when she has quarrels and misunderstandings with her brother and father when it comes to bringing her to trainings(she doesn't like to train and sweating a lot) or KOF tournament matters(they don't allow her to join their team so she goes on to other teams instead). Sometimes she ends up in places/situations accidentally or being lost while traveling alone. Considering that she must have met and interact a lot of different people. It may not be Akuma himself, maybe someone with the knowledge, former practitioner or currently training with the said martial art and so on. In some KOF games she even has a Tatsumaki kick, a Shin ShoryuKen(she named it Shin Chou Upper) and even a Denjin Shinkuu Hadouken(this one she called Denjin Haoh Shoku Ken).

    Trivias
    #1. Kula's Super Special Moves in KOF 2002/UM, entitled *"La Cachora"* , is a reference to Japanese women's pro wrestling team *"Las Cachorras Orientales"* , who acted as heel personas and had a move where they would pose over an injured opponent, showing off to the crowd.
    #2. When Kyo's *Mushiki* appeared in KoF 97, its alias was set to *"Sanjingi no Ichi"* (Three Divine Art No.1 ).
    In the original SNK era , the developers comment that the entire *'Sanjingi/Three Divine Art'* , including *Sanjingi no Ni* (Three Divine Arts No.2) and *Sanjingi no San* (Three Divine Arts No.3) was described as 'Mushiki' and that they were all *Kusanagi-ryu kobujutsu techniques.*
    *However* for some reason in KOF 2003, Iori can do Sanjingi no Ni and Chizuru can do Sanjingi no San despite they are not from the Kusanagi clan.
    It is most likely a retcon the SNK Playmore staff did, remember many of the OG SNK staff weren't in that era.

    I love how there's so many layers to the Ryo VS Dan jokes.
    First Art of Fighting comes out, then Dan comes into existence in retaliation take a jab at Ryo, Robert, and later Yuri. Then in retaliation *to the retailation*, SNK had Yuri take several jabs at Ryu and Akuma, even giving her a Raging Demon. It's like both parties were constantly trying to one-up eachother, and I find that hillarious.
    It's gotten to the point to where it's kinda circled around to being homages to one another more than just jokes in a weird way. Like, SFV Dan has even more Ryo DNA than usual, and that's used in a way to make him unironically cool (Not counting his story-).

    I would probably say K9999’s ultimate caught me off guard because of the skin and metal parts of the arm are revealed. It looks quite disgusting but also pretty crazy as well.

    • @meganinten0078
      @meganinten0078 Год назад +7

      Yep.
      The fact about K9999 is that he is a bio android (think about Cell from DBZ) that's why his Super shows the skin and metal parts of his arm.
      Unlike K' and Kula, who are humans whose DNA was modified by NESTS, K9999 was made from the ground up.

      @MegaNinten 007 I never thought of that comparison of perfect cell. Though, the fact he’s kind of similar to cell makes a ton of sense with his arm and body. But it must be painful for him releasing that mess of arm when he wants to use it. But again, someone like that doesn’t care about releasing his crazy side. But unlike kula and k’ who were humans that have experiment by NEST the results for them work. While the results for k9999, was just something else entirely because he was made rather than being a modified human life k’ and kula. Is that right? Sorry, if I type too much.

    At No.4, the fact that censoring Yamazaki's knife in his Lv3 Drill makes it funnier because yes, random object thrown go haha in the brain; but the "what's the object gonna be" for players using him is part of it
    The other part is that there is actually a hidden mechanic in XV where apparently, when you combo ending with Drill Lv3, there is actually an execute versus Lv4. Execute meaning that it would K.O. whenever the combo ends instead of just leaving with tiny bit of life left.
    That's why I appreciate Lv3 Drill now even though it took away the knife variations in the old KoF games.

    Iori (Revenge of the Eight Maidens) and Leona's (Revolver Spark) LVL 3 in '98 caught me off guard. '98UM was my introduction to the franchise when it dropped on the PS2, so I didn't know the lore at all. The game only got better for me when I learned that the state the were in when they performed those were unlockable characters.

    7:15 "Long Ranged Massage" 🤣😂
    K9999's Fleshy Arm will always be his most iconic Super and also one of the most gruesome.
    If you listen to his voice when he does that Super in 2001, he sounds like he is feeling pain. In 2002, he sounds more angrier like he is getting used of his power.
    His original seiyuu did an amazing job which btw was the same voice actor for Yusuke Uremashi from Yu Yu Hakusho
    As much as I like his redesign I prefer K9999's original look and also his psychic powers.

    For me both Iori’s KOF14 and 15 Super Climax’s because that temporary Orochi Iori moment even the older games any of them that showcase Wild Iori, also Leona in last 2 games cause we see the Red Hair of Leona in her Super Climax’s also showing that she has some control of the Orochi power. In the 2002 Dream Match Chris becoming Orochi is really up there. Igniz’s Brutal God Project Climax move is surprising when you fight him as a boss in 2001 because of how much ridiculous damage it takes practically 85% of your health it’s an amazing looking attack. I think Vice’s is pretty outrageous and shocking. Tung Fu Rue in KOF14 being a giant Master Roshi, and Mui Mui doing a Kamehameha and that Climax move on your list. Yes Xanadu is always strange and really weird Climax move even his dialogue with Robert Garcia whom is creeped out and Mature and I LOVE Mature’s reaction🤣🤣. But I didn’t even know about the Raging Yuri that would certainly have surprised me if she used it on me or I saw it on her Command List and executed it. Also Omega Rugal in KOF15 Super Climax because I want to see everyone’s face reaction when he blasts that gigantic Kaiser Wave at them some the looks are priceless😂😂.
