The idea is that picalo has a son of his own you know besides gohan, as we have seen picalo has some paternal instincts and after fusing with nail his personality became a little bit kind . I think that the kids name should be chanter witch is a smaller version of the bagpipes continuing with the whole instrument naming theme. : )
Lord slug is the best of the dbz movies that doesn't feature a super saiyan. The fact that it's in D is pure blasphemy. Bojack is a solid B rank. Bio broly is the worst of the Z films and to have it higher than the second coming? Why? I feel like you haven't watched most of these in a long time based on what you said and to make a list like this off a hazy memory you're forgetting a lot of the good and cringy parts and should have done a rewatch of them before making the list
At the end of the video, it looked like a complete mess. And it became obvious he's not using the Tier List site that the backdrop is from, that everyone else uses. Which automatically snaps the item into place, and to the left next to the last one placed there.
I didn't mind it. if people don't do it that way, they typically just sort the individual entries, with the best in the tier at the top and the worst at the bottom, which is basically no different in concept, only different visually.
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE! It legit changed people's opinions of Trunks. It was the first time we really dived into Trunk's future and they really did well with it.
Also absolutely love Fusion Reborn. For me, it's basically Fusion Reborn VS New Broly movie at this point as they're both absolutely awesome movies!! My boi Gogeta kicked *BUTT,* and I was so glad to get him on Dokkan Battle! Soul Punisher is just... glorious
@@kirstykristen9200 the dragon ball super gogeta was not as good as the fusion reborn one. He was more goofy while gogeta in fusion reborn was more serious which just made me love it more
honestly, it would be for me too, but the slight overuse of CGI as well as the annoying part of the fighting OST where they just kept chanting names puts it slightly below fusion reborn in my opinion.
TheMike0088 I think the whole point of the OST chanting the names was mostly for hype and admittedly in the moment it works really well actually outside of scenes tho eh, though CGI is tend to use so they can save money or cause they are on a budget
Dragon Ball: Evolution didn't so much make me want to give up on dragon ball, but rather it snuffed out any hope of the series getting a decent live-action adaptation.
At the point the movie was released, I do feel giving up to DB live action....but now, after all this MCU movies, and Man of Steel fight scene, make me has a lit bit of hope again to see a good DB live action happen in the future.

@@rassilontdavros3004 There are noticable problems with the special is what he's probably saying. From questionable logic to the argument about New Namek's Dragon Balls and getting them. There are a few things that prevent it from being "S" tier arguably.
DBS Broly was clearly better than Fusion Reborn, same for History of Trunks to be fair. 1st definitively Broly, 2nd is History of Trunks, Fusion Reborn is 3rd.
@@ultimateninja1704 Gogeta is cool, no doubt about that. It's just that Gogeta has absolutely no way of being as strong as he is. As this film was made where the Fusion Dance is alot weaker than Potara, that's technically not canon. I could understand Super Vegito one shotting Janemba, as he was basically as strong as a character could get in Dragon Ball. Goten and Trunks are as strong as Perfect Cell, possibly Perfecter Cell at a stretch. Adding them together basically gets you Goku in the Buu Saga. Goku + Vegeta is strong, no doubt about that. But Goku + Vegeta + Super Saiyan does not equal the strength that Janemba displayed. That and the fact that he one shots Janemba, there is no struggle between the two, it's just a curbstomp.

The fight against Super Janemba is cool but can't make the film any better, especially when the cover character (Gogeta) appears for 5 minutes at max... Even if he easily makes the movie rank B by himself. I hoped the Gogeta in Broly Movie was a bit less cocky tho.
@@ryancarberry2040 Bruh your calculations are one hundred percent wrong. First of all, characters in movies doesn't display same power as character in the actual Canon. Based on what we actually know, Fusion Dance could actually be as good as Potala Fusion, we still don't know clearly due to Super retcon. Trunks and Goten, even as Super Saiyan, clearly doesn't have the strenght of Perfect Cell... If we are talking of Full Power Perfect Cell of course, cause they are pretty much equal to him at 30% of his power. Based on that, we could make the calculation on how much Gotenks was stronger, and we could get an approximative Fusion Dance multiplier, but still, not proving anything cause the multiplier could changed based on numerous of factors... So yeah, Gogeta one shotting Janemba with, perhaps, one of his strongest attacks and tanking one blow does make sense to me, at least Power Level wise.
In his Defense, it made it easier to imagine how he would rank the film's based on his memory and preference even if Super Broly is on par with Fusion Reborn or even better.
I know what a lot will say, but I always loved the GT movie, something about Goku JR was so appealing to me and i loved the characters and just the feeling is so good to me
I tend to include the dub soundtracks when I remember these movies. Loved hearing Disturbed when goku fought cooler or Pantera play for Brolys first transformation. Loved this video, very close to my lost as well
Small Adjustments i would personally make : - Fusion Reborn to A-S Tier (almost perfect). I loved the movie, but there is just a slight thing that just doesnt let me put it at the top. I feel like something is just missing. - History of Trunks to S tier. An absolute masterpiece, and character changer (for me atleast) - Wrath of the Dragon to A Tier. Easily one of the most unique DB movies out of them all. - Cooler's Revenge to B-A Tier. Personally, i enjoyed Cooler a bit more than Frieza. Frieza mostly annoyed me in Z. (in super? thats a different story alltogether :D) - Evolution below F tier. I know its not the actors fault, its a shitty "americanised" version of Dragonball. I hate it.
Maybe rewatch all the movies first instead of going by memory of something you saw one decade or two ago. Also, state your criteria for your tier ( animation, story, lore building). You tier list seems random as hell, inconsistent, and it seems that you only saw some movies once and in the US botched version. Your tier list is D tier ( because of your methodology and lack of criteria/consistency)

i disagree...his tier list even the films he saw from 1 t.v. english viewing or remembers mostly from nostalgia surprisingly is consistent and mostly makes sense outside of a few like his ranks especially for lord slug and return of cooler which should be higher and him being overly harsh in general to every films rank it seems cause to me anything dragonball related not named evolution is not f tier at all..point blank and the only things imo that deserve to go under c- are the original plan to eradicate the saiyans at d+ the new updated art one from raging blast 2 is a e- imo plus path to power which is a solid d- episode of bardock which is a e+ borderline e and son goku and his friends return which is a d..everything else is at least c- material imo or better....and the only c-even imo is resurrection F....everything else is at least c tier like a hero's legacy and sleeping princess in devil castle or higher c like curse of blood rubies and bio broly....theres only 5-6 dragonball movies/specials that suck...the other 20 or so are great and majority of them are c+ and up not down ….
Absolutely beautiful! Loved both Fusion Reborn and New Broly movie - my two favourite movies by far! 😆 The animation...the action...Broly's backstory tugged my heart strings...and Gogeta is bloody badass. Loved them both. Will never forget them... I'll keep my word. Am I the only person that _actually_ enjoyed Broly's Second Coming? If I am, then I'm surprised. 🤔 I liked how Goku had to help out his sons by Family Kamehameha. Gohan got a bit of spotlight, which is good. Goten was a little annoying in my book with Trunks...it wasn't that good to me. Videl managing to take Broly's attacks is very silly... Still, enjoyed the movie.
Tier lists have left Smash and is spreading! A couple of the movies would be placed slightly differently if it was my list but overall, I mostly agree to your rankings.
...Huh. I didn't know you liked Fusion Reborn that much. I mean...as fantastic as the visuals were...I didn't find anything else about it interesting personally. Gogeta just kinda showed up and did a thing, so he wasn't even really in the movie, despite being the namesake of the film. And Janemba, while his abilities were interesting, was as bland a villain as they get. And Pikkon played a bigger role than I think he deserved. xD I mean, it's certainly one of the better movies for sure, but I dunno if I'd personally have put it above Battle of Gods, History of Trunks or Wrath of the Dragon.

If you have the time (and resources) you should rewatch them all over a couple of weeks or so so they are all fresh in your mind. I know that I was grasping at straws for some of the movies that I haven't seen in over a decade! I'd be interested to see if anything changes.
Some feedback: first, I don't think you quite understand how tiers are supposed to work if the majority of them are between tiers. It's pretty much just a list at that point. Second, it's a bit odd that you didn't rewatch these beforehand. Yeah, I know that's a lot of work but this video ends up feeling pretty thrown together.

Kinda sad that you really don’t like episode of Bardock. I would give it a solid B. It’s just nice fan service that isn’t as nonsensical as heroes. P.S. Does anyone agree? Or am I the only one into fan service that involves something other than beach episodes with BBT (Boobs, Butts, Thighs)?
Okay, I'm able to follow your train of thought as you discuss these movies, most of which I've never actually seen (though not necessarily for lack of trying). But it's real hard to tell what you're thinking just from looking at the chart. It's hard to formulate much of an argument or criticism other than that, because the chart's hard to read. I can tell you I liked BoG and DBS Broly more than Fusion Reborn, but they're all great anyway, so whatever. Surprised to see Bio-Broly above Second Coming, and I agree that Broly LSS could be made way better by not being so long - I seem to recall that almost nothing happens for the whole first two thirds. That movie was dreadfully boring until the actual fight, and I'd be inclined to move it further down. Episode of Bardock, I'm inclined to be a little nicer to. Not significantly, I mostly speak as someone who likes Bardock. I still call it a D. Honestly, most of these hover around C-Tier for me. They're alright. Both Z specials, I'll agree. Firmly A-tier. Not bad, just kinda hard to read.
Hey Masako, would you consider watching the movies over (except evolution) and doing reviews for them like you did for Dragon Ball Super episodes. Most of them are on Funimation.
Don’t get me wrong, fusion reborn is a very good movie, but dbs broly, wrath of the dragon and a few others are better. not much happens during the movie.
vegeta is barely in wrath of dragon meh in bojack solid in android 13 his role is ok in broly hes great in fusion reborn but he is at his best in return of cooler..its the one film they allow old school vegeta to be vegeta in all his prideful glory and hes glorious in it ...he feels so in character in that film its awesome he fights so hard and he matters genuinely to the plot and helps a lot...hes fine in a couple other films but he feels a little bit tamed and limited and out of character like how he whines in broly cries in fusion gives up so easily in wrath and in bojack he has stopped fighting?..and gets wooped so fast just like with broly and in android 13 hes just a decoy and fillery and nothing he does in that film separates himself from trunks or piccolo that they could not have done in his place to help you know?......
I like the half steps because it shows things have a leniency e.g. lower C tier etc, I like how where I disagree its usually a case of I like it a bit more So Bardock was S Tier for me, I think the only real swap for me would be Slug with Tree of Might, but that could be because I saw Big Green DUB first and Tree of Might was hit hard by that for me xD @MasakoX I have to say btw you reminded me of a Red Dwarf character at one point at some points in this vid it was :)
This would've worked a lot better had you used a template that used ratings like A+, A, A- I think. Otherwise at the end this looks kind of like a mess in the end. Overall I still liked the video just a suggestion if you decide to do something similar in the future.

I will agree with Masako on this one. Look, History of Trunks was awesome, Broly was amazing, but Fusion Reborn will always be my favorite. It's not even due to nostalgia, I hadn't watched the movie until 4 months ago, and man, it was easily the best movie I had seen so far. I do agree Broly is definitely up there with being the best, but I will always find Fusion Reborn slightly better.
Personally Wrath of the Dragon is my favorite. It has a great original story and original characters, and a villain who’s concept is completely unique in the series. The stuff with Tapion and Trunks is also amazing. Also dragon fist hrrnnnggg
Pretty good list. I would personally bump Fusion Reborn down and Wrath of the Dragon up to A tier, alongside the DBZ specials. Dragon Ball Super Broly is the only S tier. It blows all the other movies out of the water. Battle of Gods definitely shouldn't be rated above A tier. I'd say B tier, and that's me being generous cause I'm not the biggest fan of it, though I appreciate its introduction of Beerus and Whis. I also think the Bojack movie is incredibly underrated. Its main drawback are its nonsensical villains. They have such great designs and are apparently space pirates, but they couldn't be any more generic. Still, the visuals, setting, and battles are enough for it to be in the middle of A and B tier for me. Finally, Lord Slug isn't that bad. Maybe in the middle of C and B.

Great list! To me Dragon Ball Super Broly is the best dragon ball movie we've ever gotten, story-wise, character-wise, combat-wise, AND animation-wise, but to each their own! Still a great list!
Bardock:The Father Of Goku in my opinion would also be A tier. I say this because if you Dragon Ball Z Episode 0 we see Bardock trying to defend the Saiyans but we really never really understood who Bardock was. And thanks to this special, we got a little more backstory as to who Bardock was. And thanks Dragon Ball Super:Broly we got even more detail as to who Bardock was and how his story impacted Son Goku's life. Thank you for the video.
Wrath of the Dragon not being in S is blasphemy. Kid Trunks actually got character development and made me like him as a character. Just my opinion tho
I personally believe that the Return of Cooler was a much needed improvement on the first movie. The first Cooler movie had some very good scenes and was very faithful to how a Frieza-like fight would happen on Earth. All the known fighters would participate and try their best but Goku would still be the super star in the end. I did enjoy Picollo's fight with Salsa especially. It was a very nice touch and the setting in the forest was pretty good too (also, energy blade and long arms, that was very nice too). But, I feel that, at the end of the day, Cooler was just a bigger and dumber Frieza. He had literally no plan other than to let's go beat up Goku and do classic evil stuff. His character was missing a lot. He was a slightly smarter Broly but in the Frieza race if you will. Finally, the final part of the fight where Goku goes super saiyan, well, I really don't think I'll be the first to mention how similar it was to the Frieza fight (even though I liked the part witht he small bird and how Cooler was blasted to the Sun). Now, the second movie did all that but better. It introduced such a nice backstory to how it happened, a backstory that even though it was based on sheer chance, it made sense in a way. It took the fight to New Namek, making the risk a lot bigger cause it had already been destroyed once, can't have that happen again, included more fighters and also made Cooler something entirely new. Meta Cooler to me is probably the perfect combination between the idea of an android and a Frieza-like enemy (obviously). I really did enjoy how they handled the fights the Z fighters had with the guard robots, having to be strategic and all. I also loved how they built up all this intense battle with Goku and Cooler, making them easily equal with Cooler surpassing him slightly. Then they brought in Vegeta, and stuff got wild. They barely beat Cooler and then, what did they see? They had accomplished nothing at the end of the day cause there were like a million of them on the way. A very amazing scene of pure will and determination where they both charge up and explode with power. Then they are both captive inside the planet/ship and there are some really emotionally strong scenes that show how powerful and full of will a saiyan can be. Overall I do think the Return of Cooler easily surpassed the first movie.
Interesting to be seeing the Evolution Movie appear in the Tier List without also mentioning/rating the 2 or 3 Live Action Dragon ball movies that existed in Japan/Korea. Afaik they were really bad but at least one of them (the Korean one?) recreated the costumes and characters of the first Dragon Ball really good.
would have probably put most of these in the same spot, but when you got to talking about Resurrection F I couldn't help but think of how I fell asleep my first time trying to watch it. would have been a solid D for me with the visuals being the only thing keeping it out of the E tier
A Hero Legacy for me is better than most other DB movies. The action is not as strong but the story is well written. It actually has a lot of heart too.
I agree with your opinion on A Hero’s Legacy. It was a very fun and entertaining movie/special. It was one of my first dragon ball movies. Right next to fusion reborn and wrath of the dragon. I think Goku Jr could be a better character but he’s still fun to watch on the screen.
Return of Cooler is still in my top 3 DB movies. Yeah sure, animation isn't as good and the "biggettystar" is a terrible name, but we get a lot of action and good moments for side characters, it's one of the few movies that don't end with a transformation, spirit bomb, or combining energies (i.e. Goku won without pulling something out his butt, he worked hard for it). Cooler is still a great villain and as a returning character there's some weight to Goku and his rematch, Cooler is one of the few villains who doesn't feel like he'd be brushed aside immediately after the movie with smart power scaling, we get to see Goku and Vegeta work together (for the first time come to think of it), it has some neat sci-fi ideas, especially with the wire Cooler at the end, and the music is incredible. Seriously, compared to the other movie concepts, this one hits it out of the park, plus I don't think it has any cringe parts like the Broly movies do. It has humor, but it's good humor, and at least Meta-Cooler isn't yet another big beefy guy who stomps on people. Oh and my other two favorites are Battle of Gods and Super Broly. I totally get putting Fusion Reborn so high though, and the GT movie is definitely underrated, and World's Strongest is a high one for me too. Still, I really don't understand the dislike for Return of Cooler, I never feel like people make a good case against it. They always go "ehhhhhhhhhh" or give nitpicks. I don't mean to be rude here but PLEASE at least give me a well established criticism I can understand. I mean you put it below Slug, Super 13, and the Broly movies (even Second coming?) ahead of it, I need a bit more than "hitting robots harder was a dumb way to win the first fight" to work with here when we're comparing that to Broly literally getting pissed on by Trunks.
History of Trunks is definitely S tier. It enhances the main plot, emotional, great animation/art, etc. if db super broly us s tier because it fixed Broly's premise, then History of Trunks deserves to be aswell since it made his mission more endearing in DBZ.
THe least I can say is that I definitely agree with the top 5. Those movies/tv specials deserve to be there. Personally, The History of Trunks and Dragon Ball Super Broly are my favorite, but I understand your taking objective and subjective views into account. Watching that Broly movie got me invigorated to watch Super again(I had quit cause I just got eh with it). It sucks that the dub voice actor for Broly got fired tho, probably one of my favorite voice actors with his work full metal achemist

Hey, someone else who didn't dislike the GT special. I think it gets a bad wrap for not being super action heavy, but looking back it feels like a more somber Dragon Ball tale.
My top tier, in no particular order because I couldn't decide, are: Super Broly (actual Number 1) Broly 1 Tree of Might Battle of Gods and Resurection F.
I know people make fun of the Funimation sound tracks a lot, and I can mostly see why. Despite that, I have trouble sitting through Broly 1 and Fusion Reborn without that dub music. Broly’s transformation is timed so well to 10’s, and basically any major action scene in Fusion Reborn, especially the 1 minute scream, work so well that music. To balance out my karma, I will say I don’t care much about which soundtrack is used for most other movies, and the Bardock special absolutely needs Solid State Scouter for me to watch it.
I was honestly worried that GT's movie was gonna be put below evolution. I know GT gets a lot of negative comments cause I'll admit the story had a lot of issues but I still enjoy GT. It was one of my first introductions to the series and I loved SS4. Goku Jr is personally an unused character that deserves a bit more love and i really wanna see him put in a game at least once.

Dragon Ball: Evolution didn't so much make me want to give up on dragon ball, but rather it snuffed out any hope of the series getting a decent live-action adaptation.
At the point the movie was released, I do feel giving up to DB live action....but now, after all this MCU movies, and Man of Steel fight scene, make me has a lit bit of hope again to see a good DB live action happen in the future.

DBS Broly was clearly better than Fusion Reborn, same for History of Trunks to be fair.
1st definitively Broly, 2nd is History of Trunks, Fusion Reborn is 3rd.
Fusion Reborn (in my eyes) was painfully average and I felt that Gogeta was probably the biggest problem that I have with the film.

As this film was made where the Fusion Dance is alot weaker than Potara, that's technically not canon. I could understand Super Vegito one shotting Janemba, as he was basically as strong as a character could get in Dragon Ball.
Goten and Trunks are as strong as Perfect Cell, possibly Perfecter Cell at a stretch. Adding them together basically gets you Goku in the Buu Saga.
Goku + Vegeta is strong, no doubt about that. But Goku + Vegeta + Super Saiyan does not equal the strength that Janemba displayed.
That and the fact that he one shots Janemba, there is no struggle between the two, it's just a curbstomp.

First of all, characters in movies doesn't display same power as character in the actual Canon.
Based on what we actually know, Fusion Dance could actually be as good as Potala Fusion, we still don't know clearly due to Super retcon.
Trunks and Goten, even as Super Saiyan, clearly doesn't have the strenght of Perfect Cell... If we are talking of Full Power Perfect Cell of course, cause they are pretty much equal to him at 30% of his power.
Based on that, we could make the calculation on how much Gotenks was stronger, and we could get an approximative Fusion Dance multiplier, but still, not proving anything cause the multiplier could changed based on numerous of factors...
So yeah, Gogeta one shotting Janemba with, perhaps, one of his strongest attacks and tanking one blow does make sense to me, at least Power Level wise.

In his Defense, it made it easier to imagine how he would rank the film's based on his memory and preference even if Super Broly is on par with Fusion Reborn or even better.
I love Battle of Gods. It was solid DBZ, and as a bonus, had many humorous moments reminiscent of Dragon Ball.

I tend to include the dub soundtracks when I remember these movies. Loved hearing Disturbed when goku fought cooler or Pantera play for Brolys first transformation. Loved this video, very close to my lost as well
Small Adjustments i would personally make :
- Fusion Reborn to A-S Tier (almost perfect). I loved the movie, but there is just a slight thing that just doesnt let me put it at the top. I feel like something is just missing.
- History of Trunks to S tier. An absolute masterpiece, and character changer (for me atleast)
- Wrath of the Dragon to A Tier. Easily one of the most unique DB movies out of them all.
- Cooler's Revenge to B-A Tier. Personally, i enjoyed Cooler a bit more than Frieza. Frieza mostly annoyed me in Z. (in super? thats a different story alltogether :D)
- Evolution below F tier. I know its not the actors fault, its a shitty "americanised" version of Dragonball. I hate it.

i disagree...his tier list even the films he saw from 1 t.v. english viewing or remembers mostly from nostalgia surprisingly is consistent and mostly makes sense outside of a few like his ranks especially for lord slug and return of cooler which should be higher and him being overly harsh in general to every films rank it seems cause to me anything dragonball related not named evolution is not f tier at all..point blank and the only things imo that deserve to go under c- are the original plan to eradicate the saiyans at d+ the new updated art one from raging blast 2 is a e- imo plus path to power which is a solid d- episode of bardock which is a e+ borderline e and son goku and his friends return which is a d..everything else is at least c- material imo or better....and the only c-even imo is resurrection F....everything else is at least c tier like a hero's legacy and sleeping princess in devil castle or higher c like curse of blood rubies and bio broly....theres only 5-6 dragonball movies/specials that suck...the other 20 or so are great and majority of them are c+ and up not down ….

I liked how Goku had to help out his sons by Family Kamehameha. Gohan got a bit of spotlight, which is good. Goten was a little annoying in my book with Trunks...it wasn't that good to me. Videl managing to take Broly's attacks is very silly... Still, enjoyed the movie.

...Huh. I didn't know you liked Fusion Reborn that much. I mean...as fantastic as the visuals were...I didn't find anything else about it interesting personally. Gogeta just kinda showed up and did a thing, so he wasn't even really in the movie, despite being the namesake of the film. And Janemba, while his abilities were interesting, was as bland a villain as they get. And Pikkon played a bigger role than I think he deserved. xD I mean, it's certainly one of the better movies for sure, but I dunno if I'd personally have put it above Battle of Gods, History of Trunks or Wrath of the Dragon.

Some feedback: first, I don't think you quite understand how tiers are supposed to work if the majority of them are between tiers. It's pretty much just a list at that point. Second, it's a bit odd that you didn't rewatch these beforehand. Yeah, I know that's a lot of work but this video ends up feeling pretty thrown together.

Hay masako would you consider doing a video on picalo. Everyone loves saiyans but I have an idea for a video. The idea is that picalo has a son of his own you know besides gohan, as we have seen picalo has some paternal instincts and after fusing with nail his personality became a little bit kind . I think that the kids name should be chanter witch is a smaller version of the bagpipes continuing with the whole instrument naming theme. : )

Okay, I'm able to follow your train of thought as you discuss these movies, most of which I've never actually seen (though not necessarily for lack of trying). But it's real hard to tell what you're thinking just from looking at the chart. It's hard to formulate much of an argument or criticism other than that, because the chart's hard to read. I can tell you I liked BoG and DBS Broly more than Fusion Reborn, but they're all great anyway, so whatever. Surprised to see Bio-Broly above Second Coming, and I agree that Broly LSS could be made way better by not being so long - I seem to recall that almost nothing happens for the whole first two thirds. That movie was dreadfully boring until the actual fight, and I'd be inclined to move it further down. Episode of Bardock, I'm inclined to be a little nicer to. Not significantly, I mostly speak as someone who likes Bardock. I still call it a D. Honestly, most of these hover around C-Tier for me. They're alright. Both Z specials, I'll agree. Firmly A-tier. Not bad, just kinda hard to read.

Don’t get me wrong, fusion reborn is a very good movie, but dbs broly, wrath of the dragon and a few others are better. not much happens during the movie.

vegeta is barely in wrath of dragon meh in bojack solid in android 13 his role is ok in broly hes great in fusion reborn but he is at his best in return of cooler..its the one film they allow old school vegeta to be vegeta in all his prideful glory and hes glorious in it ...he feels so in character in that film its awesome he fights so hard and he matters genuinely to the plot and helps a lot...hes fine in a couple other films but he feels a little bit tamed and limited and out of character like how he whines in broly cries in fusion gives up so easily in wrath and in bojack he has stopped fighting?..and gets wooped so fast just like with broly and in android 13 hes just a decoy and fillery and nothing he does in that film separates himself from trunks or piccolo that they could not have done in his place to help you know?......
I like the half steps because it shows things have a leniency e.g. lower C tier etc, I like how where I disagree its usually a case of I like it a bit more So Bardock was S Tier for me, I think the only real swap for me would be Slug with Tree of Might, but that could be because I saw Big Green DUB first and Tree of Might was hit hard by that for me xD

I will agree with Masako on this one. Look, History of Trunks was awesome, Broly was amazing, but Fusion Reborn will always be my favorite. It's not even due to nostalgia, I hadn't watched the movie until 4 months ago, and man, it was easily the best movie I had seen so far. I do agree Broly is definitely up there with being the best, but I will always find Fusion Reborn slightly better.
Personally Wrath of the Dragon is my favorite. It has a great original story and original characters, and a villain who’s concept is completely unique in the series. The stuff with Tapion and Trunks is also amazing. Also dragon fist hrrnnnggg
Pretty good list. I would personally bump Fusion Reborn down and Wrath of the Dragon up to A tier, alongside the DBZ specials. Dragon Ball Super Broly is the only S tier. It blows all the other movies out of the water. Battle of Gods definitely shouldn't be rated above A tier. I'd say B tier, and that's me being generous cause I'm not the biggest fan of it, though I appreciate its introduction of Beerus and Whis.
I also think the Bojack movie is incredibly underrated. Its main drawback are its nonsensical villains. They have such great designs and are apparently space pirates, but they couldn't be any more generic. Still, the visuals, setting, and battles are enough for it to be in the middle of A and B tier for me.
Finally, Lord Slug isn't that bad. Maybe in the middle of C and B.

Great list! To me Dragon Ball Super Broly is the best dragon ball movie we've ever gotten, story-wise, character-wise, combat-wise, AND animation-wise, but to each their own! Still a great list!
Bardock:The Father Of Goku in my opinion would also be A tier. I say this because if you Dragon Ball Z Episode 0 we see Bardock trying to defend the Saiyans but we really never really understood who Bardock was. And thanks to this special, we got a little more backstory as to who Bardock was. And thanks Dragon Ball Super:Broly we got even more detail as to who Bardock was and how his story impacted Son Goku's life.

Dragon Ball Evolution shouldn’t even be considered a Dragon Ball Movie.
I personally believe that the Return of Cooler was a much needed improvement on the first movie. The first Cooler movie had some very good scenes and was very faithful to how a Frieza-like fight would happen on Earth. All the known fighters would participate and try their best but Goku would still be the super star in the end. I did enjoy Picollo's fight with Salsa especially. It was a very nice touch and the setting in the forest was pretty good too (also, energy blade and long arms, that was very nice too). But, I feel that, at the end of the day, Cooler was just a bigger and dumber Frieza. He had literally no plan other than to let's go beat up Goku and do classic evil stuff. His character was missing a lot. He was a slightly smarter Broly but in the Frieza race if you will. Finally, the final part of the fight where Goku goes super saiyan, well, I really don't think I'll be the first to mention how similar it was to the Frieza fight (even though I liked the part witht he small bird and how Cooler was blasted to the Sun). Now, the second movie did all that but better. It introduced such a nice backstory to how it happened, a backstory that even though it was based on sheer chance, it made sense in a way. It took the fight to New Namek, making the risk a lot bigger cause it had already been destroyed once, can't have that happen again, included more fighters and also made Cooler something entirely new. Meta Cooler to me is probably the perfect combination between the idea of an android and a Frieza-like enemy (obviously). I really did enjoy how they handled the fights the Z fighters had with the guard robots, having to be strategic and all. I also loved how they built up all this intense battle with Goku and Cooler, making them easily equal with Cooler surpassing him slightly. Then they brought in Vegeta, and stuff got wild. They barely beat Cooler and then, what did they see? They had accomplished nothing at the end of the day cause there were like a million of them on the way. A very amazing scene of pure will and determination where they both charge up and explode with power. Then they are both captive inside the planet/ship and there are some really emotionally strong scenes that show how powerful and full of will a saiyan can be. Overall I do think the Return of Cooler easily surpassed the first movie.
Interesting to be seeing the Evolution Movie appear in the Tier List without also mentioning/rating the 2 or 3 Live Action Dragon ball movies that existed in Japan/Korea. Afaik they were really bad but at least one of them (the Korean one?) recreated the costumes and characters of the first Dragon Ball really good.
would have probably put most of these in the same spot, but when you got to talking about Resurrection F I couldn't help but think of how I fell asleep my first time trying to watch it. would have been a solid D for me with the visuals being the only thing keeping it out of the E tier
If I had my imput in the tier list I would have the DB super broly movie as a god tier movie, mostly because everything just seemed right.
A Hero Legacy for me is better than most other DB movies. The action is not as strong but the story is well written. It actually has a lot of heart too.

I agree with your opinion on A Hero’s Legacy. It was a very fun and entertaining movie/special. It was one of my first dragon ball movies. Right next to fusion reborn and wrath of the dragon. I think Goku Jr could be a better character but he’s still fun to watch on the screen.
Return of Cooler is still in my top 3 DB movies. Yeah sure, animation isn't as good and the "biggettystar" is a terrible name, but we get a lot of action and good moments for side characters, it's one of the few movies that don't end with a transformation, spirit bomb, or combining energies (i.e. Goku won without pulling something out his butt, he worked hard for it). Cooler is still a great villain and as a returning character there's some weight to Goku and his rematch, Cooler is one of the few villains who doesn't feel like he'd be brushed aside immediately after the movie with smart power scaling, we get to see Goku and Vegeta work together (for the first time come to think of it), it has some neat sci-fi ideas, especially with the wire Cooler at the end, and the music is incredible.
Seriously, compared to the other movie concepts, this one hits it out of the park, plus I don't think it has any cringe parts like the Broly movies do. It has humor, but it's good humor, and at least Meta-Cooler isn't yet another big beefy guy who stomps on people.
Oh and my other two favorites are Battle of Gods and Super Broly. I totally get putting Fusion Reborn so high though, and the GT movie is definitely underrated, and World's Strongest is a high one for me too. Still, I really don't understand the dislike for Return of Cooler, I never feel like people make a good case against it. They always go "ehhhhhhhhhh" or give nitpicks. I don't mean to be rude here but PLEASE at least give me a well established criticism I can understand. I mean you put it below Slug, Super 13, and the Broly movies (even Second coming?) ahead of it, I need a bit more than "hitting robots harder was a dumb way to win the first fight" to work with here when we're comparing that to Broly literally getting pissed on by Trunks.

History of Trunks is definitely S tier. It enhances the main plot, emotional, great animation/art, etc.
if db super broly us s tier because it fixed Broly's premise, then History of Trunks deserves to be aswell since it made his mission more endearing in DBZ.
THe least I can say is that I definitely agree with the top 5. Those movies/tv specials deserve to be there. Personally, The History of Trunks and Dragon Ball Super Broly are my favorite, but I understand your taking objective and subjective views into account. Watching that Broly movie got me invigorated to watch Super again(I had quit cause I just got eh with it). It sucks that the dub voice actor for Broly got fired tho, probably one of my favorite voice actors with his work full metal achemist
Does anyone else kind of feel like Hero's Legacy was made as a pilot for a new series, and was never picked up? When I watched it I just got this vibe that the movie was setting Goku Jr. up for more stories after that.

Hey, someone else who didn't dislike the GT special. I think it gets a bad wrap for not being super action heavy, but looking back it feels like a more somber Dragon Ball tale.
Before someone roasts you History of Trunks and Bardock Father of Goku are no MOVIES they are T.V. Specials.
But they are both still awesome.

My top tier, in no particular order because I couldn't decide, are:
Super Broly (actual Number 1)
Broly 1
Tree of Might
Battle of Gods
and Resurection F.
I know people make fun of the Funimation sound tracks a lot, and I can mostly see why. Despite that, I have trouble sitting through Broly 1 and Fusion Reborn without that dub music. Broly’s transformation is timed so well to 10’s, and basically any major action scene in Fusion Reborn, especially the 1 minute scream, work so well that music. To balance out my karma, I will say I don’t care much about which soundtrack is used for most other movies, and the Bardock special absolutely needs Solid State Scouter for me to watch it.
It would definitely be time consuming, but I would have liked to see the differences if he watched each movie before deciding what tier it when in.
Coolers revenge was a S tier movie. its my favorite movie of all time, its so perfect
Curse of the blood rubies was literally the first 13 dragon ball episodes crammed into that movie.
I was honestly worried that GT's movie was gonna be put below evolution. I know GT gets a lot of negative comments cause I'll admit the story had a lot of issues but I still enjoy GT. It was one of my first introductions to the series and I loved SS4. Goku Jr is personally an unused character that deserves a bit more love and i really wanna see him put in a game at least once.
