I've been to the places Sheldon visits. Bob's big boy. The Cheese cake factory. I might of been to the hobby store , where they sell hobby trains. oh and definetely Glendale Galleria.
I have not been to Cal tech. Was suppose to go to a restaurant just for Alumnis but I was busy that day, when My sister's ex invited us all.

I knew a guy who had PhD in mathematics and after he left University and came home he use to work in Marks & Spencers alongside his old maths teacher at High School.. I guess this what is called social mobility in modern Britain.😂🤣
I used to work in the carpentry trades. Everything from building houses to custom staircases and architectural millwork. You would be surprised at how many people work in those fields that have degrees. They get more satisfaction out of making something where, at the end of the day, they can actually see the results of their labor. In talking with these people I found that a lot of them had been somewhat forced by their parents to go to college to get a degree, when that was not what they really wanted to do.

I once knew a guy who had a doctorate in Maths but worked in a department store cafeteria collecting and washing dishes. He could not have been happier. Loved maths, hated every job he’d had where he needed to know maths.
Um, I don’t think that’s a sign of a healthy economy 😅
@@ssmt2 A big part is that the work starts and ends the moment you step in and the moment you step out. Working as a developer it feels like my mind never really gets away from it. You spend so many unpaid hours just thinking about stuff for work I wonder to myself if it's really worth it in the end.

As a British viewer the driving jokes are interesting because a lot of young people here don't drive. We are a mainly urban society so walking or public transport is just as common. I get the impression in California - driving is a given.
