Someone's podcast who i listen to had said "The Ego is the human part of us that likes to keep us the same and keeps us safe". Thats their definition of The Ego :) The podcast is called Know Your Aura with Mystic Michaela you should check it out :)
One of the goat metal bands, they have very few bad songs, their entire library is good. Some of their songs are crazy with funny parts (chop suey) and some of their songs are super meaningful with great singing (like this)
I grew up with this band and it's amazing how as a teen you can love the music and sing it word for word. but it takes listening to it as an adult to understand the meaning of the song and the symbolism.

This was actually SOAD's first #1 hit. This whole album is phenomenal! I think this song is the best to segue into the harder SOAD. It kind of introduces you to their unique sound without being totally overwhelmed. Their last full album was way back in 2005. I so wish they'd come out with a new album! I was listening to "sugar" when you came up. Its surreal, when you have been through painful things, you start to pick up really quick how people think. Because i agree, that you can pick up, by asking certain questions just to see how the mind reacts of a person. If, i ever find somebody that i will let close to me, to be a partner in life; is just non negotiable. I do not want a trauma or chemical bonding... i want something that is pure, in the sense..., that all you want to do is see me happy, just like i want to make the person happy and give pleasure.
