I also thought the centre console was a little old fashioned. But when I bought my Volvo and started using it, I realised how simple and easy to use it was. Much better than the touch screen rubbish on other cars and the screen covered in finger prints. I love the Volvo set up
I'm thinking the same stuff! I love the car since it was presented in 2012 and changed the way I was used to see Volvo forever. Planning to buy it soon, however the centre console is something I don't enjoy much; so not sure if I'd wait for the next generation which is coming soon or I'd buy it this one which Volvo is giving great sale discounts right now!
@@JAMESFERNANDEZ Must agree. First I wast not a huge fan of the center console in my 2015 T3. But it has been growing on me...... and I quite enjoy each ride with it, simple, easy. No need to fus around with major tablets. Wish I could get Andriod Auto tho,,, while keeping the console to navigate..
I own a V40 just like this one and love it. I generally agree with the review, except regarding the central console. I love the design of the whole panel, it's very posh and full of character, not your typical boring BMW panel. The physical buttons and dials give you fast access to all of the car features, media options, radio stations, etc. - without having to divert your eyes from the road, and no need to go through endless touchscreen submenus. The infotainment system works perfectly and it's fast. The 2019 version of this car is perfectly adequate even in 2022 - the only actual letdown for me was the GPS, but I always carry my cell phone with Google Maps and Waze, which are better than any car GPS anyway. PS: the mileage preview is based on/adapts to your style of driving, most cars do this.
Great cars. Own a D2 2.0 and love it. You wouldn't think it but they are really fun cars. Wouldn't mind a T3 but I'd have to test drive first. Unfortunately the UK is clamping down on diesels.. so a D4 is out of the question 😣😥
If that's the case then apologies, but they certainly used to be used as part of the phone! At least newer Volvos (S90, V90) don't have all those buttons.
ARE YOU SUREE??! I have a C30 and use the buttons on "the center console" to dial numbers manually ...It's really useful though, especially if you gotta make a quick call from a note or a business card...

I agree - the physical buttons are great and give the console a cool retro touch. The whole thing is quite premium and well built.
I bought last week V40 T3 R-design 2019.. after drive Volkswagen Scirocco R for 10 years. V40 is Good car.
Are you happy with it?
@@nmfl100 Good car but consumes a little to much fuel.
@@parkarlsson3833 Yes, that's to be expected on a petrol engine, even 1L engines consume a lot. What numbers do you get? About 8 to 9L per 100 KMs?

*To be honest, I really like this car*
good too see such good reviews of this car, buying it as my first car, any downsides in your opinion?
V40 T3 vs D3?
The milage is adaptive... the more eco you drive the more the milage will go up

The d4 is fine on ulez
@solitude1586 Depends what year it was made. In Scotland it must be made after September 2015 or you'll be hit with fines. D2, D3 or D4.
I have a volvo v40 r design but cant get all of my contacts or call list anyone know what i can do ?
Is your Bluetooth on when you connect with the car
Is the color Osmium Grey?
I believe it was!
Yes
What's up with the calculator !?
Calculator?!
jjajaja
Much better than a silly tablet glued to the console.
The buttons on the center console are NOT for the telephone...its for the radio, navigation etc...part from that its a good review.

Is the sat nav touch screen? If not that might explain why it needs the keypad to input the destination?
Sami FF yes of course you can do that also, but why when you can scroll thru the numbers in your phone book on the steering wheel.
That car is not a 2 lt engined car...it has got a 1,5 lt engine
Hakan Okur That's the T3 auto. All the manuals are 2l.
Sound quality is terrible.
Ah get over yourself
I am angry who give you to review a Volvo😂
well that was a waste of time!
Take a shower before filming , dandruff all over your shoulder, disgusting 👎🏼
loooool
Your comment is disgusting, I have the same t-shirt and it’s made like that with tinny white dots .
