Oh My Goodness. When Charo went into the audiences and she pulled the people up I thought these members also had Muscular Dystrophy but she showed us they really don't have it (LOL).

As someone who USED to volunteer for MDA until Jerry "retired" (or was fired, or left, whatever the true story is, I don't know), I had to leave an important comment since one lady in the clip couldn't move her head - or so we thought.
@TakeStage- While there were some funny moments (especially Jerry's reaction), I have to correct the uploader - that lady at 2:18 into the clip DID have Muscular Dystrophy. She was Jerry's good luck charm for about 30 years worth of telethons, and her name was Shelley Obrand. She died a few years ago. The first two rows in the front, (where the TV cameras were) in front of the empty seats WERE people with MD - The other 80% of the people there were able bodied but had some connection with Jerry, or MDA (i.e. having a family member with MD.)
Charo is a goddess, she acts totally insane and ridiculous and that makes it ok for you to be insane and ridiculous right along with her.
Its the first time I"ve actually seen Jerry act old before. I've been a fan all my life.

Not so impressed with her musical presence..but I remember her many years ago on late night tv and she was adorably hilarious.
This stuff is just for a laugh. Check out her flamenco guitar playing if you wanna see Charo really shine. She’s brilliant!
