The face time with the future PTA parents is great. So glad they keep showing themselves and talking, versus spending more time focusing on the plane, seats, etc. Most helpful travel video ever and it's all because of constant - constant - as in over 60% of the video - constant- close ups and dialogue over every little thing from Brad and Angela.
The wife and I flew Polaris to Hawaii and back a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING!!! We didn't get the full "Polaris" experience. The whole flight out and back was Hawaiian themed. We got to preorder our meals. My breakfast was a Spicy Southwest Scramble, a meal that could only be preordered. I'm not big on "spicy" but I asked if they had any hot sauce. I loved it!!! We had a red eye back, so we had the seats 2 rows ahead of you. we didn't get the mattresses, PJs, or slippers (I did ask, lol) like the international flights got. It would've been nice for the over night portion. The wife and I tried to sleep but couldn't. I think it would be different on a longer flight. Oh, and that moon thing on the end of the seat controls is the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the outside of the seat. All in all, WE loved it!!! She said she wanted to do it again!!! We're going to Europe in 4 years!!! P.S. That would be me, too. Showing up 5 hours early to go to the lounge 🤣😂🤣😂
Question about the Polaris lounge. When you arrive, how long did you have to wait to be seated? (after you get your name on the list) I'm flying Polaris, April 2025, on a 787-9 (or -10), with my son, and his wife, on a 12 hour trip to Tokyo, from LAX. I figure that they will take a middle pair of seats, next to each other, and I'll take one of the "hidden" window seats. Does the price really change, day by day??? PS. I was going to fly out to LA, from Chicago, but decide to mix "old time" Transport, with modern. I'm taking Amtrak, out to LA.
For the lounge, I think we waited like 20 minutes. They do close at a certain time so not sure when your flight is but we didn't wait too long. And the lounge was busy. When you get into the lounge, I would go straight there to put your name on the list. We were told the wait could be up to an hour! There aren't very many tables. And yes! The prices fluctuate everyday! Always book on a tuesday or wednesday!
Talk about a coincidence. I'm taking this exact same flight on Monday, but deparing from Houston instead. Sitting in seat 9 on the right. 17 and a half hours here. 6th longest route in the world.
You will love it!! Such a great flight!! A lot of people hate on Polaris because of the food which is nothing extraordinary but the bed was pretty comfortable and the FA's were so nice! Part of the experience though was the Polaris lounge in SFO, hopefully Houston has a good one too!
Laughing at the face mist, that was energetic Samantha! Fun trip TO Australia, now time for a great time IN Australia! Looking forward to the next videos.
Thank you for a great review . I 'm surprised to see such a service on united Polaris service . I have taken Polaris many a times but did not have a great (service ) experience . I am hoping to see this kind of service on the San Francisco to Auckland in this coming December or my wife will be very unhappy.
I agree, this was not the first time we have taken Polaris and service isn't always great. Maybe it is the route? We had an amazing experience and the flight attendants were so nice and wonderful. And the food was better than it usually is on United. Enjoy your trip! New Zealand is one of our favorite countries! happy wife, happy life!
Im thinking if switching over to United simply due to their miles actually being worth something. Internationally, United seems to have the edge on routes and awesome deals with their miles. I flew business class lax to hnd for 50k united miles. Delta was charging me iver 400k skypesos
2:16 no we aren’t tired of your miles/points. Please tell us a little more! We just booked round trip 6 flights using 80k miles economy to Europe. We are interested. ~Cara 😊
Did you do anything special do get these points? How were you able to get such an incredible deal on amount of points it cost for the flight? Tell us everything! There are a lot of channels that just review the flights, a lot that just talk about points, but not any I can think of that combine the two. Y’all can be that resource! Thanks for a great video!
Thats a great idea! I have always thought about doing that. I will tell you directly how I did it because you asked :) I transferred chase points(because Chase is the only bank card that transfers to United) to United to book it. I scoured United every day until a 100K point deal popped up. It took a lot of time(like 2 months 😂) but I finally found 2! usually they only let 1 of these go at a time so I had to find two separate deals which was even harder to find! I got the chase points from sign up bonuses, referral bonuses and from travel spend(we spend a lot on travel). With the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, it offers 3x on all things travel which is really helpful! We use that card for all travel purchases. Hope this helps!
We flew the exact same flight in March. My Claustrophobia set in when I tried to lay down in the Polaris pod. I didn't get a wink of sleep for the whole flight!!!! UGH!!!!
Honestly.. luck! I looked everyday and it defeinlty took some dedication but the award chart kept showing 250k one way but somedays were 100k but didn't fit my travel plans, then one day I looked on my dates and I saw 100k and booked ASAP! Once you see it and think "i'll come back later and book it" that price will be gone so never hesitate! or wait to look until you are ready. or try seats.aero! Godspeed!
Luck I think, haha! United sometimes offers that route for 100k, you just need to look often! I was looking everyday and it was always 250k but one day I looked for the date we needed to leave and it was 100k! and it was only for that one day so I am very glad I kept looking!
@@samandnick I think I'm a bit biased, lol! Delta is my primary airline and I've flown D1 on numerous occasions. I flew Polaris once in my life and that was to Amsterdam. It was nice but I found the D1 Suites to be more comfortable, and the service somewhat elevated. But it can entirely depend on the crew!
As an airline and comparing it Asian and Middle Eastern carriers, no it is not 😂 but Polaris is so wonderful and comparable to some of the best seats! Maybe the food is it's downfall to the rest...
I did a code share flight with the first leg being ANA and second was United. The ANA flight was a true first class experience and the United flight was garbage.
Were you flying into or out of the US? Both ANA first and business class are usually more expensive than United Polaris, so you get what you pay for. United does not offer First class on international flights, only international businesses class. So if you flew ANA into the US, then United First class to another US city, then you did not actually fly Polaris, which is the highest tier United product.
😂😂 Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion! Service on all the Polaris flights we have taken have been phenomenal but I know not everyone has the same experience!
First off; I’ve had some of the BEST service ever, on United. I’ve also seen service on delta where it didn’t even seem like the FAs liked people, at all. (And Don’t get me started on the purple costumes they’re forced to wear.) Secondly- Can you not be so rude on somebody else’s channel? It’s always the delta people when somebody says something nice about United. Yes , we get it , yall think delta is magnificent. And that’s fine- stay with them! Nobody’s asking you to take a United flight . Have fun with your “newly-improved” (again) Skypeso program! Peace .
@@djtexas4993 I am not rude you are rude this guy is giving false information Delta on board service its much better than UA and their business class suite i s much better than UA and most importantly they use Airbus which is much safer then shit Boeing!
@@djtexas4993 Thank you! Added to that, Deltas seats are newer than United’s. Even American has been rolling out their news seats. The Polaris cabin is set to be redesigned soon, but it is old. Even though its not new, its still said the be the most comfortable US business class. Best bedding and amenities. Really, United’s only major issue is food service.
Delta One is not at all as consistent as United Polaris and that alone is enough to diminish its value. Even worse, the lounges are consistently worse at all airports except JFK

Amazing that you got such a deal on your flights! And what a NICE flight experience!
You two and your lounges!! Loved this.
It's hard to go back to economy once you exeperience this luxury 😂
What a great review! We’ve missed you guys. Some reason we haven’t received notifications of your videos. Playing catch up. ~Cara ❤
Oh no! I am not sure what happened! We have been bad at posting videos, life has been a bit crazy last few months!
I've flown Polaris Newark to Rome. Can't wait till April 2025 😊.I'll be flying Polaris Newark to Sfo then to Sydney. I am so excited. Thank you
Enjoy it! We loved it so much!! ❤️❤️
