You were right, Ahyeon was stressed during her Dangerously era! In Last Evaluation the members had 30 days (almost 1 month) but at the last 2 weeks Ahyeon's song was changed to Dangerously! She had only 2 weeks to pratice! She even said she couldn't sleep at night because she was too worried about the performance! Also Last Evaluation was recorded in 2022 so Ahyeon probably improve and build more confidence! She is on a break now due to her health, she will debut with the others in April so be sure to check it out :D
That change of song was needed the initial song she chose did not suit her voice.. She sounded horrible. One thing I will say about YG is he def has an ear

Yes!! I personally think Asa was the second best. Out of everyone, Haram and Asa showed the most versatility. We didn’t think Asa could sing well but proved us wrong. Haram went from being least noticed to most with just one performance. They knew exactly how to show off their skills. This whole evaluation was to show how much skill they could show and these two did exactly that. I would say Rora and Ruka were also great. Rora stole the show with her amazing character that she has portrayed on stage and delivered her lines beautifully. Ruka came out with her rap and started dancing towards the end. Her lines were also very catchy and clear. She was stable throughout the entire performance. Ahyeon was also very good and showed her powerful belting ability. She has an amazing tone and range but lacks on the vocal control department.
Rora's performance scratches my heart. You know that feeling when you're about to cry 😢. I felt that. If I was in the audience, I would give her a standing ovation during the climax.
We need more Rora praises, that kid is talented. Personally, I love her and Haram/Rami's voice but to be honest everyone is great in their own way. I think, you'll also love to check out their teasers when they also did covers before the Last Evaluation. Some of the clips are from their montlh evaluation, when they are a bit younger.

They didnt choose the songs for them, the girls chose their own songs and practiced by themselves, only getting feed back when they went to record in the studio. Haram chose that song cause she felt it would show her individual colors more.
And Haram intentionally added her own lyrics and melodies, the highlighted low registered part up to high notes runs and riffs part, into the song by herself. She gonna be one of great singer which will definitely shine bright in near future.

Ahyeon has a very powerful voice, but I also like her breathiness/husky voice style she used sometimes it adds texture to the song. Point of view of a casual listener and not a voice coach or expert 😅 although you’re right she will improve some more.

Chiquita, when she was evaluated, was infected with COVID. She was very good at singing with a voice that sounded like that. And she ended well. Even the judges praised her for making the song feel good. She was only 13 years old.

Thank you for appreciating Ruka too and understanding that she has a little lisps. It does indeed make her even more charming and that was one of the many factors as to why she made it in the group. Other than her amazing stage presence, rap, and dancing. She has a unique charm/personality that makes people drawn to her. In Day 1 the vocals that draw me in was Rora and Haram.. I just love their lower soulful tones. My 3 biases since day 1 is actually Ruka, Asa, and Haram and they still are my top 3 in Baemon..of course my wreckers are the other 4 girls. They are all uniquely talented and mesh together beautifully as a group.

Chiquita just had Covid before she did this performance maybe she wasn't fully recovered and that can explain why she had trouble projecting her voice. In the last evaluation episode, we can see that she was really worried for this performance and it affected her confidence.
I liked haram's performance the best, because she made feel like she'd enbodied the song. Her attitude, the vocal choices, the runs, everything feel into place. Then there's rora's, I don't like how much fry she used in this performance, but overal she has my favorite voice of the group and I think she holds the biggest potential

Chiquita was infortunatly sick of covid at the time of that performance,thats why she was strugling to project her voice well, she was so sad she had to perform sick at the last evaluation episode ❤
Not to be defensive or bias but on Chiquita's case, at the time of the performance that was only a week after she recovered from COVID with a cold symptom, if you watch the episode you would see that she didn't get to practice much and when she was practicing her throat was hurting a lot. Which is why she wasn't in her best condition when she performed that. But yeah thanks for appreciating her. She has a lot of potential indeed.
I saw people mentioning it and it pretty much fits - she is not missing her tones and being pitchy or anything like that - she feels more like...anxious and stressed from singing - which can be because of covid: anxious out of her mind to sing with the voice she cannot fully rely on (after covid) and even though her voice sounded clear (no swelling) the mental part of it can do a lot. I knew there was something with this song particularly too, cause in the group song she did amazing and had full confidence. I enjoy her a lot, that girl has AURA.

I actually think that Ahyeon has most of her air-losing/breathing issues when the notes are to low for her to be comfortable. Maybe she doesn't have the technic yet to support her low tones properly but it would make sense if you remember how low some parts of "Gone" actually were.

Ahyeon has a very powerful voice, but I also like her breathiness/husky voice style she used sometimes it adds texture to the song. Point of view of a casual listener and not a voice coach or expert 😅 although you’re right she will improve some more.
Rora deserves to be a main vocalist actually ❤. But her agency always give her very small line. Idk why. She's so talented, to reach a lower key, falsetto, or Belting. But IDK if her agency didn't see it on her.

Chiquita, when she was evaluated, was infected with COVID. She was very good at singing with a voice that sounded like that. And she ended well. Even the judges praised her for making the song feel good. She was only 13 years old.

Thank you for appreciating Ruka too and understanding that she has a little lisps. It does indeed make her even more charming and that was one of the many factors as to why she made it in the group. Other than her amazing stage presence, rap, and dancing. She has a unique charm/personality that makes people drawn to her.
In Day 1 the vocals that draw me in was Rora and Haram.. I just love their lower soulful tones.
My 3 biases since day 1 is actually Ruka, Asa, and Haram and they still are my top 3 in Baemon..of course my wreckers are the other 4 girls. They are all uniquely talented and mesh together beautifully as a group.

Chiquita just had Covid before she did this performance maybe she wasn't fully recovered and that can explain why she had trouble projecting her voice. In the last evaluation episode, we can see that she was really worried for this performance and it affected her confidence.

I liked haram's performance the best, because she made feel like she'd enbodied the song. Her attitude, the vocal choices, the runs, everything feel into place. Then there's rora's, I don't like how much fry she used in this performance, but overal she has my favorite voice of the group and I think she holds the biggest potential

Not to be defensive or bias but on Chiquita's case, at the time of the performance that was only a week after she recovered from COVID with a cold symptom, if you watch the episode you would see that she didn't get to practice much and when she was practicing her throat was hurting a lot. Which is why she wasn't in her best condition when she performed that. But yeah thanks for appreciating her. She has a lot of potential indeed.
I saw people mentioning it and it pretty much fits - she is not missing her tones and being pitchy or anything like that - she feels more like...anxious and stressed from singing - which can be because of covid: anxious out of her mind to sing with the voice she cannot fully rely on (after covid) and even though her voice sounded clear (no swelling) the mental part of it can do a lot. I knew there was something with this song particularly too, cause in the group song she did amazing and had full confidence. I enjoy her a lot, that girl has AURA.

I really enjoy your technical commentary since I have no idea how it all works 😁 They still have their group vocal performance and I hope you'll react to it and their preparation for it, you can see them supporting and teaching each other behind the scenes. I think you'll enjoy seeing them trying to be little vocal coaches as someone experienced! The whole series is also interesting, you can really see how they work - how Rora interprets her songs to get the emotions right, how many times Asa repeats a phrase to get it perfect. Also our Ahyeon 🥺 She was on a break due to health reasons which could explain her stress, but she'll back in April ❤

I actually think that Ahyeon has most of her air-losing/breathing issues when the notes are to low for her to be comfortable. Maybe she doesn't have the technic yet to support her low tones properly but it would make sense if you remember how low some parts of "Gone" actually were.
