FYI, Asa used to perform in the musical theatre while she was in her school, so she can sing as a vocalist really well. When she entered to be a trainee a YG, due to liking of hip-hop style and dancing, she chose to train mainly on how to rap, and she can do it really well. Such a talent clear toned rapper.
Asa's got so much potential, i know she trained primarily in rap, but i do hope YG after being surprised by her singing (then seeing her as all rounder) thinks to give her some extra training to her hone her vocals (just like they are training Chiquita to rap). It would be a sorely missed opportunity if they don't down the line..she'd be a triple threat.

It's why we all hope/ believe the hiatus truely is just that and YG intends to place her back in the group even though he has a history of doing the exact opposite in similar scenarios with other groups. I still don't trust YG and will only fully believe she will be back when it actually happens but my fingers are crossed. I don't think he will throw away a trainee/idol as popular and highly talented as Ahyeon over health issues (hopefully it is that and not just an excuse for something else) after having her at the top of the list the whole time.

The difference between em is which they're better at, Ahyeon's vocals are like S-tier while her rap is B-tier, Asa's rap is S-tier while vocals are A or B (getting better). But during the Last Evaluation series where these performances were from, it was clear that the company viewed Ahyeon as the one to build around. The ace, the center, the one who's proficient in everything (including language)

Most YG group they have unique voice individually. When they sing alone with other artist song you will know who is the person when you close your eyes.
