I’ve been learning slide lately and this will really help. Intonation is SUPER HARD but practicing every day I’ve noticed very good improvements

I’ve been working on slide these last couple months. Thanks for these tips! I’m forcing myself to get decent at standard tuning first so I can use it on most any guitar, but I’m getting there. Thanks again!!! 🤘

Thank you so much. I'm just really doubleing down on scales and triads. My palying is pretty stale right now and using s drone is also a good way for me to find chords up the neck.

Michael, this is a great tip and I am eager to try it! I have heard that some slide guitarists intentionally tune up or down by a half-step (standard tuning or otherwise) to stay away from the 5th, 7th, or 12th frets because of the nasty harmonics that could result. Have you ever done this?

No, I haven’t done this or heard of it. Maybe the opposite might true…Seems like a lot of folks will tune to fit the song so they can have open strings

Yes! Found it on the road this fall for cheap. Needs a little work but still a cool sound as is

Do me a favor and go back in time a decade or so and tell me this! Man! It seemed so basic but it's so sensible! Thanks for sharing it no need to reply I know you're busy.

Absolutely! That’s kind of how I felt when I heard it as well
