Whenever I hear this wonderful waltz I conjure up a vision of whirling around a ballroom in a floaty dress in the arms of the man of my dreams. We are so in love, and time stands still. Then, at 76 now, I wake up at the end, and have tears in my eyes for this vision long gone, but still I dream on......
His use of grace notes is so beautiful, i can't find the words to express how special grace notes are....
This is the kind of song you can fall in love to.

I play this on piano as an addition to Ashokan Farewell. The Lovers Waltz makes a lovely addition with the key change from D to G and change of rythmn. I prefer it to Ashokan.
I never tire to listen to this wonderful, romantic song.
Molly is so talented. I've seen her accompany Jay on this song playing guitar, bass and piano. Beautiful in all performances..
Watch her on the transatlantic session. She just floats up and down the piano keyboard when she's accompanying Jay and Ally Bain. Wonderful.

Words speak to the mind and heart but music sings to the soul. I envision a couple waltzing through their years together with each year the couple becomes more and more finessed and in step with each other and the become more and more as one.

I fell in love with this tune several years back and I still get butterflies when I hear it. Unger and Mason are an excellent pairing and they do a fantastic rendition.
