Jay and Molly wrote it in the 1980s. It was very personal and they were reluctant to perform it for awhile, but apparently friends heard it and urged them to start performing it.
I have a watched this clip hundreds of times. What a sublime piece! Thank you, whoever posted it! I desperately want to see Jay and Molly live just once before I die.
I'm so glad I had found you because you reached deep to touch my soul, and your music spoke in a sublime language. ..I treasure your creation. Thank you both.
+Diana Einagel Sly If this is your aspiration, you are well formed. If you emulate this level of performance, your soul speaks to many and your soul will be seen by just that number. If you master this, you will be a blessing to all who hear you. Pray God, I will be one.
+Archie Nicol Russ abandoned and transcended all of tinseltown when he did these recordings. He left the dross and became what he always wanted to be..... a musician. He, in his field, is unsurpassable. Thank God we had him.
Molly is looking beautiful... and she sure has the hands of a pianist. Beautiful version.
Every so often, a song and its performance comes along which trancends the ages. This is one of those times.
To me, this is the most beautiful playing of this great tune.
The harmonies are superb

Sometimes you just want to sit still and breath low, let the music enter your soul and be at peace.
Always loved the Transatlantic Sessions. Jay is a very fine writer.
