Zay here, I understand some people don’t like the explanations in the video. However, I think you’re forgetting that I don’t like Game of Thrones. This is the way that I can enjoy it and understand what’s going on, especially making a reaction video on top of already not being fully into the show, it’s hard to follow along. There would be no reaction if it wasn’t for her. I’ve tried watching Game of Thrones in the past, and this is the way that I want to watch it. I find it hard to understand the dialogue since they talk differently; “name day” and “birthday”, etc. I actually feel like I understand and enjoy the show more with Emily as I’ve tried to watch it in the past on my own and I couldn’t get into it. This is how our reaction is going to be and you don’t have to watch it if you don’t want to. She hasn’t spoiled any plot points, she helps me with the dialogue and she gives me the info that I need to help me understand what’s happening in a scene. Otherwise I’d be lost and that would be an even WORSE reaction. Thanks for watching anyway 😁
You're a very cute couple, and you certainly have a good set of personalities and communication skills to do well with this kind of content, and this show, in particular, is great for attracting eyes to your channel, so I hope it is a successful series. I like listening to "Game of Thrones" reactions when I'm driving, and you're entertaining.
That said, it's fine for Zay to ask questions, but since Emily is the one who has seen the show, she really needs to know that much of the fun of watching the show is having the world revealed organically Having her explain everything before it's revealed as it's meant to be, that kills the way it's meant to be taken in.
I was extremely close to giving up out of frustration and annoyance for hearing everything explained before it's meant to be revealed, and I'm sure a lot of people felt the same way. If it's a matter of "I, Zay, am not going to find it bearable to watch unless it's explained to me before the show explains it in its own time," then please consider whether doing a reaction series is worth doing at all. The very fact that it's being published on RUclips for other viewers, presumably to engage viewers with an enjoyable experience, means that, in order to make the experience enjoyable, you need to consider what will put the audience off, or just enjoy it yourselves as a couple on your own terms.
That's just my two cents, anyway. I like y'all's dynamic, and I think it can be a fun experience for everyone, but personally speaking, and I'm not the only one who feels this way based on the channel's comment, I found it very frustrating, and if the next video is not free of this kind of spoiler-y back-and-forth, I just can't deal with it.
I think she's doing fine in discribing without giving real spoilers. It might be a good approach to get him into the story. When he feels more comfort with the show, she may slow it down. Go on the way, you enjoy the show most 😇
@@monstajonas Zay here! I will say in House of the Dragon it helped me a lot to get filled in on the little things the first maybe 3 episodes, and it made the entire experience for the rest of the show a lot better!
Yeah, I hate spoilers but when it's just clarifying things it's not a problem at all, I think. My brother was watching the show the same way with me. I was commenting things without spoilers and he started to enjoy the show. I had been persuading him to watch the show for so long, but now he is watching the 4th season and feels really invested. My favorite show ever)
Hi! 10 minutes in here, haven't seen you guys before (nice to meet you!). Honestly, I'm loving the explanations. She's not giving anything away but the added lore makes for an even better watch and there are sooo many reactions were the reactors miss so much. Don't get me wrong, that's not an issue in an of itself! And we all miss a lot in our first go at a story this detailed and foreshadow-y and lore-filled, that's part of the fun and also a big part of what makes rewatching so fun too! But it is a somewhat demanding show in terms of keeping up with names, relations, places, etc. Especially for people who don't often watch/read this kind of fantasy (you kinda get the hang of it if you do 😂). Having Emily here in case you have any doubts that are actually fucking with your understanding and enjoyment of the show, in my mind, is ideal! And she's so clear and nowhere near spoilery. Also, there are things you're not meant to know or catch or figure out at X or Y point, and she's a fan, she'll know and won't tell you. Some stuff you ARE meant to know, and so it's good to have someone to ask just in case! And you pause to do it, which is awesome cause you won't miss anything important.
Honestly, watching a show with someone who already loves it is a different but really awesome way to do it. Anyway, just wanted to put out some thoughts I guess.

@@ZayAndEmilyBuckle up, this show is pure insanity, it starts off as a slow burn but quickly goes into supernova mode. Also, you should probably get some moderators to avoid major spoilers. I would also try to avoid looking up anything related to Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice & Fire on RUclips as there are massive spoilers everywhere, especially for later seasons.
Excellent reaction! I like the little cut-scenes where explanations are given while steering clear of spoilers. This show can be watched 20 times and there is always something new that is noticed. The subtle hints are all over the place.

There is no match between GoT and House of the dragons, even considering S1 only that is not the best (and for me it's the worst because it just serves as introductions to the world and the characters)

I watched your HOTD reactions, thought you might have taken a different approach here?? Zay needs to STOP asking questions constantly and Emily should just help only where absolutely needed as things will work out eventually… I mean, we all had to fill in the gaps when it aired originally, and that’s part of the fun! Don’t take that away from him
