tire shops are terrible, it's usually guys that lack the skill to do more complicated tasks and the repair industry. I was a diesel dealership mechanic, the crap I'd seen tire shops do is just stupid and dangerous, and most the time you see them working they're moving way too fast and not thinking.

I've never paid someone to work on my vehicles. I'm 43 and have been working on cars since about the age of 10. Over the years I've taught myself to do pretty much all work from simple repairs to engine/transmission overhauls, paint/bodywork, troubleshooting/diagnostics. I'd rather buy tools and do it myself. I don't trust anyone and would rather avoid the aggravation of shoddy work. Most tire shops don't calibrate their fancy digital balancers so what's the point. Bubble balancers have been doing the job well for ages and are tried and true

you can find them sometimes on eBay for $80, I just like doing my own tires...

Your balancer stops wobbling too fast, you need to do some work on the needle or the hole it goes in or both. That wheel and tire should take a lot longer to come to a stop when you teeter it than this.

I respect the effort but sir the shop can do it usually pretty cheap and a lot more accurate

@@custom165 some of us hate paying someone else for work we can ourselves and not to mention the ability to do the work when you want, where you want and without damaging your rims or car....oh and torquing the lug nuts correctly instead of to 200 ft lbs and warping rotors....then there is the cost, we can buy tires cheaper, no mark up when they are on sale and hold them until needed. Of course there is also the time to bring, drop or wait for the vehicle and then get the bs "you need a new gasket for your tpms by law" crap. So is it really cheaper....nope. As for accurate, sure, but a properly bubble balance wheel will run well over 80 mph without issue, fast enough for me and our trucks and cars.
Some people like to pay and watch, some like to learn, know and do it ourselves, whatever satisfies you, I'd rather do it myself vs paying some kid while I sit and watch TV and wait to be ripped off.

These balancers work if you know how to use them. Some don't work as is and need modification. I had to modify my balancer by widening the pivot point to allow it to swing freely. Works well now. Only static balance but in most cases it's all that is needed

@@MarcBchannelStatyczna tak ale nie dynamiczna. W szybkich autach brak dynamicznego wyważenia robi bardzo zły efekt

@dziabi3 Yes dynamic balance may be an issue at higher speeds. It becomes more of an issue with wider wheels. I personally have driven cars with statically balanced wheels at high speed with no issues or vibrations. It's not perfect always. If you have access to a good dynamic balancer that is calibrated use it. I've had good luck with static balance and I like doing the work myself at home and saving money. Cheers👍
