These ladies are lovely...my experience was that the vast majority of witnesses are wonderful people...hard working sincere, honest...it’s just such a high control group ...and let’s face it...it’s run by a small group of men who believe that out of all the world and most of history...THEY are who God chose to help him rule the universe...I mean it takes a pretty big ego to think that about yourself...

When I was studying with the witnesses, the family who befriended me used to force there children to go to meetings. Even when the children were crying saying they didn't want to go. Also I found jws very boastful of there perceived exclusive relationship with God as they think they are the only ones going to be saved by God during Armageddon. One mother boasted about how many hours her children spent in ministry and that when they left school they would not be going to college but into full time service in the religion. But I k we her kids were up to things that would be frowned upon in the religion, e.g. in a relationship with a girl who was 1. Not a jw and 2. In a physical relationship. I just looked at her and thought to myself if she only new the truth about their behaviour it would knock her off her smug high horse. But I didn't want to cause trouble for the kids so I said nothing. Those woman were lying about so many things, they know really that what they are doing is unacceptable really but they are like automatons following all that the governing body say. They are fools and it is a cult.
When I would ask my mom why Worldly people didn't get possessed by demons when they went to R rated movies, so why would I, she said that they watch out from behind the screen waiting for someone in the audience to have a pure heart. They would sense me there and search me out and possess me. What is it with all the demon possession?!?

My mum is the same. I’ll ask her what “would happen if” and she says “oh this would happen etc etc” but the reality is very, very different. When I was studying with the witnesses, the family who befriended me used to force there children to go to meetings. Even when the children were crying saying they didn't want to go. Also I found jws very boastful of there perceived exclusive relationship with God as they think they are the only ones going to be saved by God during Armageddon. One mother boasted about how many hours her children spent in ministry and that when they left school they would not be going to college but into full time service in the religion. But I k we her kids were up to things that would be frowned upon in the religion, e.g. in a relationship with a girl who was 1. Not a jw and 2. In a physical relationship. I just looked at her and thought to myself if she only new the truth about their behaviour it would knock her off her smug high horse. But I didn't want to cause trouble for the kids so I said nothing. Those woman were lying about so many things, they know really that what they are doing is unacceptable really but they are like automatons following all that the governing body say. They are fools and it is a cult.

My mum is the same. I’ll ask her what “would happen if” and she says “oh this would happen etc etc” but the reality is very, very different. Each JW is living in a happy fuzzy little bubble unaware of what is really happening to their fellow brothers and sisters, because once you’re disfellowshipped you can’t communicate with someone and find out what’s really going on.

The JWs have got rid of the theocratic school, which was an excellent way of learning public speaking, but now the numerous videos at the Kingdom Hall are so dumbed down and horribly basic, there is nothing much learned there. I think they remove the school for legal reasons. Most countryes have some Legislation for making sure teaches are not pedophiles... Its sad how the WT handle this.
