The SRA 81 Class (Part 1) - Along the Lines

The SRA 81 class has been a staple of the Main South and Hunter Valley region from their introduction in 1982 pulling Pass, Coal, Grain and Intermodal. These are some highlights from various videos from 1989 through to 1992 showing various workings of 81 classes around the state.

Most of this class was overhauled from April 29 1992 onwards by a private contractor by instruction of the SRA. Although some of the oldest units in the lower number range had been repainted in Freight Rail Blue prior to this date. 8181-84 don't count as they were recently built out of spare parts at that time.
