Just what I needed to see,Tim. My dyes are sitting neglected in a drawer and tomorrow they’re coming out to join the party!

How does it look with an oil or wax? If it hardens, it should seal the pigments aswell. I imagine it pops the grain and the colors even more, though one might lose the jewelrish appeal. I personally don't like the high gloss and a "plastic coating" on my wood that much. Cheers, nice work anyway!

@@bradwood4311 Yes 👍. Because, for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

I've noticed with all the older turners on RUclips, they have ran out of ideas. Much you see today is just a repeat of ten years ago.

This video is an excerpt from a longer video on making pendants that Tim Yoder made 7 years ago, available at: ruclips.net/video/HMTqdpIMm3o/видео.html . Although the video is not new in that respect, it remains valuable because it concentrates on the coloring process, something that can be applied to more than pendants. Other commenters have asked who is "Brian" that Yoder sometimes refers to. He is identified in the longer video as Bruce Holden, a woodturner with a woodturning business in Oklahoma.
