I really wish the developers would give people like us something special for 100 service stars like being able to choose a weapon skin for your cavalry gun or a unique horse skin.

Great video, here are my thoughts based on experience
-the direct hit with the nade is actually consistent, but only if you throw it where the horse hitbox is rather than where it shows in-game (like the lance animation). It doesn’t match where it shows it to be, a proof of that are those times where you pass through someone instead of roadkilling them. Simplifying: either throw backwards if they’re facing u or compensate a lot in front of them untill you get used to it
-agreed on the rifle thing, it’s not worth it now (thank god as that’s boring af), but on horse vs horse it has its utilities, like finishing off weak dudes, finishing off after nades, putting some pressure while they’re escaping (as getting shot can ocasionally stop them) and if you want to kill a full hp horse there’s a way: just go for the head of the horse (28 damage, no time to heal)
-surprised u mentioned stopping and lancing the guy, it’s pretty unknown and has saved me in many situations
That’s it, good video, if I were you I’d try, for some games, using exclusively the rifle, I swear it’s much more effective than meele, just takes some practice to get used to it

Just started battlefield 1 and I've been playing alot with the horse. I understand it's an elite class but I have a lot of fun and I know how a good cavalry player can be a massive asset to your team. Thanks for your videos for helping me have a good gaming experience. I really enjoyed that video. I do like cavalry. It's my go to choice at the start of most maps. It allows me to get to a map quickly then jump off for the squad to spawn on me. My latency doesn't allow me to rack up the kills you get. It's a 50/50 chance when I come across another rider. On top of that you always have the foot soldiers taking shots at you. The best part of cavalry is riding up behind an unexpected player and impaling him. haha.
I have one more technique where I work for an angle from behind...my right is their left...almost impossible counter. I use all these too, very good.
kng2bishop great note-i haven't yet figured out how to melee other riders from behind so I'll have this in mind!

I have found with the new apocalypse update to Cavalry, on the desert conquest/frontline games and Caporetto have increased my score/minute and k/d more than two fold. Not rare to have flawless games with 40+ kills anymore. Our class is about to experience a bigger nerf to cavalry then what we saw from the Beta to initial launch.

it's all fun and game until you face a cav that use rifle only and when you try to spear him he get you with 2 grenades

I do this a lot but end up trading with the other rider. Any tips to change this? Almost every time either we both die or we both run away from each other
I like your videos, but I find these tricks will only work against novice riders or better riders caught off guard, I feel you are too vulnerable to a rider with a good grenade throw. Also best way to kill on Lupkow pass there would be to force them to chase you through narrow channel, then throw grenades behind for direct hit, not in front of you, then finish them off with rifle if necessary.

You can hit horses with grenades, but from horseback it's janky and you're honestly just better off stabbing them.

Frank Unterhaus 57-0 if I remember; definitely post-APOC and probably on Ballroom where I seem to get my biggest streaks

Got 114-7 once, the biggest tip is learning WHEN to use the carbine and the sword/lance
DONT use melee on horse vs horse combat, a good horseman WON'T let you get close enough for you to use your melee on him, use your carbines and keep distance
ALSO, this game is very tricky and somewhat glitchy when considering close combat between cavalry WHEN ON MELEE, so in alot of cases you have alot of 50/50 chances, even more so when you are using the sword, thats why the carbine is the way to go on horse vs horse

Can the lance charge kill other riders? I haven't been able to test it out properly but someone said they've done it

Yeah, I was scratching my head then.... I watched an on foot cav hit me with one when I went in for a melee in the desert. It was clear then.

I also set the size of the minimap up too; can't remember off the top of my head but I think it's 135%
