Love the way you explain the printer but I loved the background. That shelves, the items on the shelves and the furniture itself shows how elegant you are. Awesome
this was an excellent video sir! I bought a Ender 3 s1 pro last week and its been a complete nightmare.. 0 prints and its now a expensive paperweight. This video is the nail in the coffin for my replacement
I’ve been looking for an upgrade from my cheap Monoprice Mini Delta. I had thought I was going to try the new Ender S1, but I think giving up all the speed the delta apparently offers would not make me happy. Thanks for introducing me to this one.
After 127hr's printing here's my thoughts. With very minor upgrades and tuning (blue ptfe tube, more angled/narrow fan ducts, more rigid clip on extruder coupler a rc car clip, e step calibration and Pano Tuner app on the belts) Prints great at either stock Normal or Fine profiles in Cura. Only thing I changed is upping layer height on Fine profile to 0.16. Only on Normal profile speeds ringing are pronounced. Will be testing further to minimize ringing without resorting to Klipper. Ta
The leveling process was super easy. You do it with the nozzle cold. The probe plugs into one of the connectors near the end effector, and has a magnetic mount that puts it inline with the tip of the nozzle. Run the leveling routine from the screen; it probes the "corners" of the bed (the part near each vertical axis). Then it homes up at the top, and comes back down to probe around 15-20 points on the bed. Once it's done with that, remove the probe and set the Z offset (I used the paper method), and save it. FLSun has a video: ruclips.net/video/mWVXsSech8c/видео.html
A review with very little footage of the printer doing its thing for us to see, the only short footage was time lapsed . Footage with real noise and realtime arm movements of the printer fpr your viewers to see are empirical a good review.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll work on including more "action shots" of printers in future videos. The next couple of them are already recorded though, so I can't implement that strategy on them.
I think plugging a micro SD to SD card adapter would alleviate the issues with the location of the slot since the ribbon cable on the adapter could probably reach across the top of the machine to the front and you could Velcro it into place or something. As much as I think it would be cool to have a fast printer (I have an Ender 3 v2, so I gotta go slow), this seems a little not that good for me. I'd have to change the firmware and some other things for it to really catch my attention.
I've got one of those adapters, and I need to see if it'll actually work. I've seen some printers that don't trigger a re-read of the card unless the card is physically unplugged and plugged back in. So what happens on printers that do that is, I have to eject the extender from the MicroSD slot on the printer and plug it in again, in order to get the printer to read the card. But if it works, that would certainly fix THAT problem! 👍
I have been wanting to get a Delta printer for a long time and this one has had great reviews, however the knockoff parts put me off, I have been questioning wether buying another Chinese printer is worth the hassle of having to upgrade the cheap and unreliable parts they generaly come with, Im saving my shekels for the Prusa XL, its expensive but worth every penny IMO, this shows the faith I have in Prusa, having not even seen an XL printing something yet, maybe I will get a Delta oneday especialy if Prusa release one
Hi Andrew! I'm OK with the current set of parts on it, but if the extruder fails I may replace it with a real BMG -- or maybe something else entirely. I've got a couple of extruders I want to test. I think the heater block on this one is not quite a full-size Volcano block, so that may be something else I need to look into. As for the Prusa XL - Yeah, that's a beast of a machine. I'm still trying to decide if I want to go all out and get the 5-tool version of it.
That's a tough pick. Sidewinder X2 for the build volume, Super Racer just because Delta bots are so much fun to watch! I guess I'd go with the X2 to be able to print bigger things.
@@BV3D I'm fine thanks for asking settling in to life in Poland I Hope to get back to designing soon. I'm glad to see you are doing so well here on RUclips congratulations I look forward to your next video
I know this comment is 2 months old and you've probably figured out the solution but in my case it was endstops and the x-axis endstop wasn't being properly pressed. Could also be loose wiring with the endstops.
They keep doing stupid things like tinning wires, we keep calling them on it. Eventually they will change, much like the stupidity of not enabling thermal run away. Then we can blast them on the laziness of not supporting M600, Advanced Pause, and other built in features they don't bother with.
Hmm well I take the RUclips reviews on FLSUN with a pinch of salt now as really a few hours/days/weeks is not enough time to form an accurate opinion? No offence!! whilst I waited for Soup racer to be available in UK, I picked up an FL Q5 to try out as it was on offer at amazon and unfortunately eventually ended up having to send it back. Good print quality out of the box but got worse and worse until it was printing terrible quality after two weeks or so. I think sadly the quality of the extruder and hot end simply can not keep up with the rest of the printer, which is a shame. It's not a workhorse printer. Conversely my QIDI X-Maker bought to replace it despite being much slower is banging out much better quality prints hour after hour day after day!
Yeah FLSUN is very notorious for that and all their printer's seem hit or miss. For me, my QQ-S Pro is kinda split. Out of the box it did great but I started having issues with quality and bed adhesion which was related to a stretched belt. I went the long route and did several upgrades however and now it's printing more accurately than my ender 3 pro but I'm not well versed with Cartesian style printers so..
Hi, no problem. Not everybody likes every printer (or every kind of printer). Personally, I'm still afraid of resin printers because I know I'm messy, and being messy is incompatible with resin safety! 👍
Would you consider doing an "upgrades" video for this machine?

I was really hoping prusa would include the SR they have a profile for the other two flsun printers
My Super Racer is working great with Cura tweaks.
That is great to hear! What settings did you adjust in Cura?
Z setting is very important.
I set retraction to 5 millimeter.
First layer to 50 mm/s.
Speed set at 150 mm/s.
got the Sovol Sv03 today, just ordered the Flsun and should be here Friday. Excited to test them both out
Thanks for a comprehensive review, excellent content! How was the bed leveling? My wife needs something simple.

@@BV3D thanks for showcasing the Aria Dragon, I decided to print it as a real-world retraction test and it's worked out great.
@@BenEBrady Cool! I remember seeing on Thingiverse that Loubie3D has Aria tagged as a test print, and she makes a fine test print indeed.
Plus: it erases soup! What's not to like?
Wow! Great review, I have yet to have bought a delta, but now I am getting a real desire after watching your video! Thanks
Great review! Thanks for sharing 👍

Can it do nylon?
How do you feel about this printer for someone less experienced with FDM?

At least this one was halfway there. The 24V input and the bed wires had connectors crimped on them. 👍🏻
One of the downsides I am seeing is there isn't as much following for firmware creations
Hmmmm this is interesting
