Wow I watched this years back and have since healed from this...you just reopen the cut, poured a little salt in, gently tapped the wound and calmly walked away. I thank you🤗
Here’s why this scene works so well. Curtis is the last of the original cast and now you have to watch him go, they don’t force the other characters to be upset about the death of a character they don’t know. They just let Curtis have one last conversation with Rudy as the only character left that he has a connection with. What makes the scene saddest (in my opinion) is that Rudy is basically begging Curtis for one last moment to see his friend hoping he can talk him out of what he needs to, and Curtis knowing what he needs to do and there’s too much of a chance he’s be talked out of it.
Honestly, Curtis was one of my least favorites out of the OG group but his death hits the hardest for me, it's the final conversation with Rudy along with knowing he's the last OG standing that gets me every time, his death felt like the end of an era and the show didn't feel the same at all after he died (although the show hadn't felt the same every since Nathan left).

Just one of the scenes that showed Joseph Gilgun had well...a bit more acting balls than the majority of the cast. You know, I was a bit critical of this stage of MISFITS after first watch...but watching it again very recently, I have a bit more of an appreciation for the newer cast and the kind of different stylistic direction they took with the last season, even if it's what maybe "killed" the show - always thought it did feel like another season or two could have happened. But yeah, between this scene, the vast and subtle differences between Rudy 1 & Rudy Too, and of course the last episode that took place largely in the future/possible future, where again he was even further different versions of the same character...his breakdown when he found out Jess was back and about the baby, and Future Rudy Too confronting his girlfriend, crying as he says "You betrayed me...I loved you...with all my heart" was so emotionally weighted that it brought tears to my eyes...this is why I don't love that Gilgun is being...kinda...typecast to be the oddball since? He's got amazing range. Too bad we didn't get more, because the "superpower fight" was really...it was amazing...and showed the places the show could have gone. I mean I guess it's good in a way they ended where they did...while some people didn't love the last season, it's not remembered half as negatively as say, scrubs last season.

The write of the show wrote a script for a misfits movie which had the entire original and new cast in. I feel like this would be the direction the movie could go it. People forget that we didn’t get to see much of Nathan’s new power which was reality warping or something on the line of that and I feel like they would have to break the loop or something.

He was never my favourite but I remember this being the most hard hitting death for me, partly because you know as soon as you're aware he's been bitten that it's over for him, but mainly because he's the last of the original 5 and he dies alone without them, and this is really where the show changes for me and becomes a new thing
Curtis definitely had the saddest death. Except for the gang and the audience no one will know his sacrifice. The narrative that people who believe is that he was a disgrace athlete that committed murder-suicide. 😔
This is fucked. I stopped watching after season 3 so I never knew this was how Curtis' story ended...just caught up this week and saw this. made me pretty sad, I honestly stopped caring for the rest of the episodes after he died. I loved the original crew but at least now he's with Nikki. Bet he wished he'd never given up his original power in the first place, (I know storywise it would've been boring and repetitive to always fix everything with time, but speaking practically, if I had Curtis' power, I would never give it away).
shame, this was such a shock when first watching it. Really hit the feels, the first 3 seasons are golden when you take away the whole 'nathan' feeling
@@abdel2695 Yeah that would be sick. & just rumours that a Misfits movie featuring the original cast (Simon, Alisha, Kelly, Curtis and Nathan) was supposed to come out in 2020 but was cancelled cause of the pandemic.
@@abdel2695 My idea for the movie would go like this: It's set during the time of the pandemic Kelly and her power dealer boyfriend Seth have returned from Africa due to the outbreak meanwhile Nathan is home from prison. Nathan meets with Kelly again after so long after his release and after they reunite they get a message to meet Rudy somewhere. Rudy tells them about Curtis suicide and Nathan about Alisha's death and Simon going back in time to save her. Nathan wishes they could rewind time and prevent these things from happening and wishes they never got any of these powers in the first place. There's only way to do that and that is to stop the storm from ever happening.

I’m late to this but this scene hit the fucking hardest not even cause Curtis is a don he was the last OG character and I’m happy he died looking like he won a race ✨👊🏻
Nathan is most likely out of prison by now, Kelly left Africa returned to the UK after Coronavirus outbreak, Simon, Alisha and Curtis are together in the afterlife.
This is really sad cause he's the last of the ASBO 5 but what really bothers me is that they could have saved him. I know this was Curtis's moment to leave the series but there was a chance to save the character. When a person dies, their power dies with them like the Christian girl and Nun Nadine, if Curtis's power was taken out of him and placed into another living creature which was then killed, the effect the power had would disappear and curtis would have been cured. Its just a shame that Seth was gone and they couldn't come up with that idea in time. Curtis would have had to be chained up until they had found someone with that dealing power.
Hmm....don't think that's who it works. Curtis would still be under the effect of the power. He just won't have the power himself. It's like taking the power of away from Curtis in 3x07 wouldn't have magically cured all the zombie cheerleaders. That's why Seth didn't just pull the effect of revival from Shannon, his ex-girlfriend from the same episode, when he found out she was a zombie.
True but it didn’t feel truly different until Simon and Alisha were gone. A huge void was left and then this ruins any motivation to continue watching.

He was never my favourite but I remember this being the most hard hitting death for me, partly because you know as soon as you're aware he's been bitten that it's over for him, but mainly because he's the last of the original 5 and he dies alone without them, and this is really where the show changes for me and becomes a new thing
Because he was the last member of the originals.
This death has been the hardest on me I grown so attached to the original cast 💔💔💔💔
just watched this scene on netflix, i’m currently sobbing my eyes out
me too today
Curtis definitely had the saddest death. Except for the gang and the audience no one will know his sacrifice. The narrative that people who believe is that he was a disgrace athlete that committed murder-suicide. 😔
This conversation felt like it should've been between Curtis and Nathan, I think Nathan would've wanted to be there
True
This scene still gets me.
Wtf the changed the song on hulu..... this is the best version
They should of just stayed with the original powers like the not so confident Simon wanted and they all would still be fine
shame, this was such a shock when first watching it. Really hit the feels, the first 3 seasons are golden when you take away the whole 'nathan' feeling
This show needs to come back ..new characters ,new city ,new powers new story
A movie might be happening
@@paulclarke3182 confirmed or just rumors, which studio tho .An anime series would be cool
@@abdel2695 Yeah that would be sick. & just rumours that a Misfits movie featuring the original cast (Simon, Alisha, Kelly, Curtis and Nathan) was supposed to come out in 2020 but was cancelled cause of the pandemic.
@@abdel2695 If it does happen I hope Jess and Finn aren't in it as I didn't really like them tbh
This scene and when Nathan gets cheese’d are the saddest imo
@Tempz Davis woah thats nuts but i don't care
i love how rudy says "we could go for a pint"
Curtises death actually made me kinda sad
RIP :{
Gilgun, excellent as usual
They changed the song in hulu, ruin the scene for me that i had to look it up on youtube
For real! Same here haha
Wha!!!!
where can i watch the edited scene without buying a hulu subscription?
I don’t usually cry at tv shows but this shit really got me
Nathan is my favourite then curtis then kelly then alisha and Simon. Curtis's death was by far the saddest
This lowkey made me cry
This was the saddest one
This was definitely the most impactful scene in the show
I remade this scene on my old channel 3 times and it got hundreds of views where as my other videos would get like 10 views
0:57 is me when I try and catch up with friends from high school just get a drink talk about the good old days but they don’t want to feels like they’re all gone
The only death that made me sob 🥺
Gotta feel bad for Rudy as everyone he knew when he joined died and kelly seems to be gone in Africa forever now
How am I subscribed to you?
I’m not crying u are
sad thing is in the end the only original ones who never died is Nathan and Kelly 😥
How come in the first shot fin and Jess were about 5 metres away from Rudy but at the shot just after Curtis shoots himself they’re like inches away from him
They likely could see Rudy was about to break down and wanted to comfort him
I’m late to this but this scene hit the fucking hardest not even cause Curtis is a don he was the last OG character and I’m happy he died looking like he won a race ✨👊🏻
What is the soundtrack called when he goes back in time for the first time ?
Nathan is in prison
Alisha died
Kelly is in Africa
Simon goes back in time
Then Curtis ends himself
Wow this is depressing
Nathan is most likely out of prison by now, Kelly left Africa returned to the UK after Coronavirus outbreak, Simon, Alisha and Curtis are together in the afterlife.
Died like the show after Nathan left
You know to make a story like this, it takes balls to kill a character like this.
RIP Curties
Why did they change the soundtrack on hulu? This was so well done with this music :(
To think, he was never meant to be there
Does anyone know what song is in the background?
I started to lose interest after this happened, Curtis was the last original character and the most interesting character in season 4.
It wasn't the same since Nathan left
True but it didn’t feel truly different until Simon and Alisha were gone. A huge void was left and then this ruins any motivation to continue watching.
@@luke8801 Curtis wasn't himself after the original gang were gone. Something about him just felt off.
@@luke8801
Honestly, yeah. I never saw what happened after Series 3 and wanted to catch up via Hulu. After this ep though, I don't think I want to keep watching. I like Rudy, but damn the OG cast was the GOAT
i was so sad and upset about this
