    Thank you for doing a demo of what the sunset and sunrise look like with a timelapse and going into all of the settings. I've been researching quite a lot of the sunrise/set lights as I want to get my phone out of the bedroom and a lot of reviews do a terrible job of showing the main feature. I also like how these Lumie lights don't require a paid monthly subscription to get a good option of audio choices and setting up routines.

      You're welcome - I'm glad the video was helpful. It took me ages to film the sunset properly, so it's nice to know it was appreciated:-) I also agree it's good there's no subscription service. I am seeing more and more sleep products charging subscription fees, so it's nice not to have that here.

    Clear, simple & concise review. Been wondering whether to get this type of alarm clock for a while now, and I think investing in this type of device is worth it given how out of kilter we are with our natural environment and the process of falling asleep and waking up. I didn't want a budget one and didn't want Bluetooth (which most of the high end ones have), so as a mid-range product, looks like it ticks the boxes.

      Thanks! This is a good wake-up light and I'm still using mine. If you do decide to get this one, or any other, I'd love to know your thoughts on it.

    Thanks so much for this fantastic review - I learned more watching this than I did actually seeing one of these lights in a shop. Covers absolutely everything that I would want to know, including some reassurance that behind the impenetrable buttons there is a coherent control system!

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  9 месяцев назад

      You're welcome! I'm glad it was helpful, and thanks for the positive feedback too. The buttons are a bit fiddly, but the system is indeed coherent once you get to grips with it. I can't promise it won't be slightly frustrating from time to time though...

      You're welcome Holly. Glad it was helpful! I know the setup is a bit fiddly, but it's well worth it once you get to know the light. I still use mine all this time later and love it. Even though I've tested a couple of others since, I always end up putting this one back on my bedside table once I've finished trying others out. So for now, it's still my favourite - all because of those deep reds and the bright reading light really.

    Hi - great review, I think you might have convinced me! Just wondering what happens if it becomes unplugged/ powercut. Do you have to reset all the alarms again or does it save them? I travel occasionally and might need to unplug if going away for a period of time? Thanks!

    What about the front display at night ? Does it adapt to light or can it be set to very dark display ? I don't like to have light in my room when I'm asleep...

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 года назад +4

      It does adapt to light, and dims quite a lot in the dark. There's also a button on the bottom to turn it off completely, so there will be zero light in the night.

      Yes you can set the colour. The red is quite dim though, but lovely.

    • @nosleeplessnights1

      No, just one alarm each day. You can set a different alarm for each day of the week, but only one per day.

    I have just got this clock and when the sunrise reaches around 6mins before alarm is due, it goes off completely and the screen, then approx 2mins later the clock loads up like the power has just been reconnected and then the sunrise starts at the lowest and quickly gets up to the highest in the next 2-3mins then when it hits my alarm time it goes off completely again, then when it comes back on a couple of minutes later it starts flashing on screen “reset” and it has to be unplugged and plugged back in and wait a few minutes for it to come back on, any ideas on this or have I got a faulty one?

    • @Moleskineman
      @Moleskineman 2 года назад

      Sounds like you should contact Lumie about this, that's not how they're supposed to work.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 года назад

      Hi Brad, sorry to hear you're having issues with it. That seems like a faulty one to me. I've definitely never seen anything like that happen with mine, and I can't think of anything in the instructions that would explain it as being normal. Do any other appliances in your place sometimes turn off and on again? Do you ever have an issue with power cuts or the electrics tripping? It not, I'd send it back and ask for a replacement.

    My sunset option doesn’t fade to black.. it always stays on which wakes me up at night.. how do you set this??

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 года назад +1

      You need to switch the nightlight option to 'off' inside the sunset settings panel.

    Sir, which is the best white noise machine that can block highly loud noises from outside like dark barking sounds, construction works etc..and sir I placed the order named Homedics Ss2000 Soundspa Portable White Noise Relaxation Speaker...but it is not delivered yet.and in a meanwhile I came to know that it is not that great in terms of volume. If you please suggest me the better machine than this I can cancel this order. Please help.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 года назад

      Hi, so you're right in that the Homedics is not very loud. I would suggest the Lectofan, the Snooz, or just a Bluetooth speaker with a white noise app.

    About the light, is the light bulb replaceable and easily available.
    Also can it be run off batteries.

      Hi Carol. It can't be run off batteries. As for the bulb, if it's in warranty, they will replace it. If not, it's best to ask the company for a replacement as well as I'm not sure how easily they are to obtain in normal stores.

      I would assume it's LED's in there and it won't be replacable. However, LED's should theoretically last for 10-20 years and the light on this clock is used for less than an hour a day so it should last a long time, hopefully.
